    Hi Cindi, I found your video while searching for new and alternative finishing methods for small hooked pieces that I am making for Christmas gifts, some that will be attached to the tops of vintage tins. In the past, I have used the finishing tape method with the cord inserted underneath, and then hand sewn, which is too bulky for small pieces. I love this look you are demonstrating here, so nice and clean! Thanks for sharing this video!
    P.S. The wall of wool behind you absolutely takes my breath away!!! Wool Heaven!!!!

      The internet is amazing, right? My online courses are available to you also. I don't think I would ever teach in person in South Africa because travel has become difficult for me, but online I can be everywhere! howtorughook.com/courses/

      If you watch with a phone or tablet, turn off bluetooth. That will speed up your internet. You can always turn bluetooth back on later

    Do you have a video about basket weave in rug hooking? Thanks!

      @rughooking  3 роки тому

      Yes, but it depends on what you mean by basket weave. There are several different things that have been called basket weave in the rug hooking world.

    Hi Cindi , like your work . I love to do latch hook rug kits . do you do them as well? When i do mine after i finish them i add a little touch to them to complete them.latch hooking is my number 1 favorite craft hobby to do. Scott

      I don't do latch hook. It uses a completely different backing fabric and small lengths of yarn. The rug hooking I do is loops of wool fabric pulled up. Because the pile is lower and more controlled, I can create very detailed designs.

      I made a latch hook christmas tree skirt in the 80's. I have not made another. It took several years hooking in the weeks before Christmas to get it done. Hooking systematically in rows bored me to death. I love how traditional rug hooking is more like painting.

    Hi Happy to find you. I am starting to collect hooked rugs and found a few with odor from a closed in attic. Is there a good way without wetting to remove? Thank you kindly!

      Sunshine is a great purifier. I would hang then on a line outdoors for several days. Just keep an eye out for rain.
