Recently bought a 1950B and it's great to see its capabilities. Thanks for the really useful tips about setup and getting straight, consistent cuts. Really useful vid. :)
perfect, i've just bought my axminster bandsaw and wondered how to set things up accurately, now i know and am headed out to get things in line. your conversational way of instruction is spot on, thank you. Angus
Just got my Axminster 3 TPI blade today and swapped it over in readiness to cut some 2mm x 60mm x 760mm lengths of Yew for a Lute body I'm building. The cut is just brilliant, some minor saw marks, but I can use a cabinet scraper to remove those. Very pleased with the 1950B, it's a nice quality bandsaw, capable of its specifications. I can certainly recommend it.
Thanks... can you do a video about the Axminster Craft AC318BT Benchtop Thicknesser? There's nothing online and would be good to see a detailed presentation.
I inherited a nice delta and put new guides, truesmd the table, got a half inch 80$ blade, put the guide rail on and blade lowered right above the work and still the thing fucks right on off on me.. tried going slow, fast. 6tpi , 18tpi, tried various tooth patterns. I just dont get it. Got bubble levels on everything, even my safety glasses and got one in my watch.. im stumped..
Hi Christian, the following reply is from Craig - "I use all sorts of extractors. I am blessed here withmany different types. For a small bandsaw youve a couple of options. The small vacuum type extractor works very well on a bandsaw great at collecting & containing the fines dust - www.axminstertools.com/axminster-craft-ac50e-50l-portable-dust-collector-105251 or www.axminstertools.com/numatic-nv750-workshop-vacuum-extractor-230v-702413." I hope this helps :)
Hi Ken, Craig says: 'You can either use a hand plane to flatten one side or draw a line down one edge of the timber & carefully follow that line.' Hope that helps

how to change a blade
Yes but how do you get a straight cut when you start with both sides uneven.

That thumbnail looks like, “how to cut your hand off square at the wrist!” 😂 😳

You say you use two blades. Please give us those measurements in metric units! mm and tpi pls!
Hi Philip, 1/2" (13mm) x 4TPI & 1/4" x 6TPI.
Sorry my name is Eoin 1400b sorry
Your straight edge is not giving you a true reading because of the set on the teeth
Didn’t Craig show a cutout on the bandsaw buddy for the teeth?
This video didn't touch on tightening the blade or ANYthing about the blade itself, not once. Did me zero good.
Very useful. Thanks!
