    Hi there ,bit late to the party,but i just saw this and thought you like to know a cool trick on your door screws,,,,take the spring out from the inside and put it on the outside,that way the door pushes forward not back ,only got to turn one thread and the safety cut off is engaged!👍

    I had one of these delivered today, it took 10 minutes to assemble and 2 hours to sort it out, the bed is still not perfectly flat, but I can cope. Getting that damn blade to work and not travel off the wheels took me forever, but now it seems to be tuned in it works great.

    I just found your bandsaw review - great video, thank you. I'm not a woodworker, so this is all new to me, but I've been wanting to do some small projects for a while now, so I caught my Titan brand new and unboxed at a superb price from a chappy on fleabay who realised he didn't need it. Funny the things you mentioned about it I have thought were slight issues as well but I just put down to my utter ignorance of these things!
    I'm looking forward to following your videos to learn more. Dx

    Hello Dean,
    After a bandsaw. Really nice honest review. Looking at the lumberjack range myself as appear a little more sturdy than Titan, but personal preference I suppose. A video showing the bandsaw working would be great with the jig for circles would be helpful.
    Regards,
    David

    Just subscribed to your site & would love to see a tour of your shop. Very well described video, nice a clear explanations & good ideas.
    Only purchased one of these, today, 2nd hand, for £50, but in looks like new. Put it in my little w/shop to give it a try & there are all sorts of issues going on, so surfing UA-cam to help me rectify them. One issue is the fence & your suggestion looks perfect to sort that one out, so thank you for that.
    Looking forward to seeing some more of your stuff & hope your illness has disappeared for good.
    Once again thank you & it would be nice to put a name to the face.
    Kind regards,

    Hi there ,I thought I would give my idea about the door screw being so long ,I took the sprig out from the inside and put it on the outside ,and put the clip back were it was ,now the spring pushes the door closed instead of open one turn of the screw does it,just my idea I done ,cheers ,ps I like the ruler idea ,works a treat

    Great video I am trying to fix my mates, never used one before but he passed to me a new blade I will try to install that the thrust bearing at the bottom is tilting to one side by about 45 degs and it won't centre up is that a problem. I can get it the right distance from the back of the blade though.

    Is it possible to upgrade the blade? Like a thicker blade? If so what would be an ideal size?

  • @johngratton467

    I had a Clarke bandsaw which was an absolute nightmare, an absolutely unusable machine, in the end I gave up and bought the Titan which had multiple recommendations (amongst budget machines) as different as chalk and cheese to the old Clarke straight out of the box, it cuts straight / circles / jigsaw type pieces no problem, the fence I replaced with an Axminster (as per Peter Millard) and a quality blade from Tuff Saws, both have proved to be worthwhile investments, one point as I trawled through all the 'bandsaw doctors' info was that a number stated that the major cause of blade wander (assuming guides etc. are correctly set) is to make sure that the table is absolutely at 90 degrees to the blade, (North, South, East & west if that makes sense)

    • @WoodworkJourney
      @WoodworkJourney  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, I definitely need to recheck mine, also apparently if you cut a lot of curves then the blade doesn’t like going straight again when it’s one of the quarter inch affair

    I bought the Table saw from Titan at SCREWFIX my friend but the mitre slots are a bloody nightmare. I cannot get any mitre auage to fit the thing. Do u have any ideas or hints and tips for me to be able to get a good sled built for those shitty mitre tracks on the Titan Table saw.. I bought a new blade. The table is about a 16th off one one of the corners. I couldn't be arsed to change it now bcos I am thinking of building a new top for it. Do u think it would be worth that much hassle bro? or should I just get rid of it and buy a DEWALT jobsite saw.. I know the really good mitre gauges will fit the mitre slots on that one..
    I would really appreciate ur help and advice about the mitre slots and how I can build someth for them on this damn Titan Table saw bro..

    • @WoodworkJourney
      @WoodworkJourney  2 роки тому +1

      Sometimes the paint or coating they use can cause the slots to be slightly different sizes. Some sandpaper can sort that out.
      Making your own runners to fit in them is the easiest way to do things, that’s what I did and it was fine

    • @reaper060670
      @reaper060670 2 роки тому

      @@WoodworkJourney I will do pal. Bit weary of that saw tbh. The table isn't great either but I guess u get what u pay for. The motor is decent for a cheap saw. I will be buying a better model next year. I might get a Dewalt or maybe even a Cabinet saw from Axminister.
      I love that Bandsaw u got pal. I nearly got the TITAN myself but the price here in IRELAND is crazy. They're charging nearly 170 euros for it and I ain't paying that much for that thing. Not worth it for me. I thought I saw u had the TITAN planer/thicknesser as well? What do u make of that mate? I have one but haven't got round to taking it out of the box yet bcos I'm only getting my wee shop up and running atm..
      I'm enjoyin' ur content bro. Keep up the great work.

    I just bought one, when I switch it off towards the end of the cycle there’s a ticking noice coming from the bottom sort of rattle/ticking. Is it the case with yours? Is it normal or shall I request a replacement?

    • @WoodworkJourney
      @WoodworkJourney  2 роки тому

      It sounds like it just needs setting up as the teeth could be touching the guides.

      @WoodworkJourney  2 роки тому

      Hard to say, set up correctly, new low TPI blade, and softwood then maybe, but I would think using a bandsaw that can take at least a half inch blade would be better
