      Creality Ender 3pro. Is the printer I used to print these and everything else actually, except for a few tiny accessories that I used my resin printer for. Amazon brother. Pull the trigger. LOL

      @@TheyMakeItLikeThat Ha I have the Creality LD-002H resin printer. I like the detail I can get from it, but man resin printers sure are messy. I wanted the elegant Saturn because of the build size, but I got tired of waiting after almost a year for it. LOL

    can you reveal technical parameters of those prints?
    what kind of filement, nozle and layer heights ?

      Hey Kokodin. My apologies. I responded to this message, but I was out and about on my mobile and it must have not went through. If you go to Cults3d.com and type in SandyCreekDesigns that will take you to my store and every item I have listed for sell has all of the technical parameters to print that particular item. Thanks for commenting.

    I'm curious about the wheels... are they also all 3D printed or is there a steel tire and axel?

      Hi Toby. Unfortunately I have not been able to successfully print trucks and wheels in N scale that run well and consistently on the track. That being said all of my designs for rolling stock are designed to be used with Bachmann trucks and wheels in mind. However I have purchased a bunch of different brands trucks and wheels from a train show and simply had to modify the truck openings to make them fit. So to answer your question directly. They are metal wheels and axles. Check out my passenger car videos and you will get an up close look at the trucks and wheels that I use. Thank you for commenting. Oh and since I'm still learning about creating videos. How are my video presentations?

    Hello, can you tell me the best program you used that I can design an N scale tender?

    • @PaulsRailroad
      @PaulsRailroad  8 місяців тому +1

      Hello James. If you are new to 3d modeling I would suggest using Tinkercad. It is web based, free and very simple to use. If you like to torture yourself with a steep learning curve then I suggest Fusion 360. They have a free version. It is an advanced 3d modeling program, but it will do everything you want. But it is not simple to learn, unless you have had some 3d modeling experience and have an idea of what the tools do. But there are lots of UA-cam videos out showing how to use both programs. I actually have a couple of step by step video tutorials on my channel showing how to design using Fusion 360. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      Hey Brian. I actually sell all of my designs on Cults 3D. I don't charge a whole lot, not even enough to cover my design time actually. I do it mainly to help support my railroad. Here is the link to all of my designs I have listed thus far.

      Awesome. I printed mine on a filament printer. Since designing them I have purchased a resin printer. I now want to go back to that design one of these days and see how much more detail I can add and print with resin.

    I haven't tried printing my own trucks yet. Are you doing that?

    • @PaulsRailroad

      I have printed my own trucks and wheels. They work to varying degrees. Now mind you I was printing them with an FDM printer. They would work, but in the end there was too much friction and my engines struggled to pull just my 5 passenger cars that I designed around the track. Also I wanted metal wheels so I just ended up purchasing trucks and wheels. I'm glad I did. Their a little pricey, but still way cheaper than purchasing new rolling stock. I have also sourced trucks and wheels from train shows, but their not always the best either.

    Can these cars work with micro train wheel sets?

    • @PaulsRailroad
      @PaulsRailroad  5 місяців тому +1

      I can't say they can for sure. I designed them to work with Bachmann wheels and trucks. With that being said I have purchased loose mixtures of trucks and wheels at swap meets that were from different manufacturers and on some of them I hade to open up the hole in the truck to fit the truck post. And some were just a little loose. I know that isn't the answer you were looking for. Hopefully it gives you a better idea though.
