John, the livery button has naval connotations, the star image looks like a Capstan or windlass off a 17 century sailing ship. the image below it looks like a section of rope. I hope this helps.

Great finds John. Being from Texas, I am no means familiar with medieval or Roman finds, but the large weight looks like the 3 marks on the bottom may be a trident, so maybe Roman? The unidentified round object with the two broken bits on the edges, may be a heavy fabric or light leather decoration, that had prongs that clasped on the back side. Just my thoughts. Looking forward to part 2. Cheers from Texas.

A little bit more info…there appears to be 2 variants… one made in Bombay, which has a specific thickness (as in, the height when laid flat)… there’s a young lad who did a UA-cam vid about the coin (Christians Coin Corner over on The Coin Dictionary channel) in which he mentions some more about it
Whether you can tell which you’ve got from that, given the corrosion, I’m not sure… maybe worth a crack once cleaned up a little?

Hey John, not sure where your video is with that beautiful aurochs artifact. I’m now suspecting that it’s a lot earlier than what I’d originally thought. I believe it could easily be Byzantine, but there are similar Saxon examples from around 620 AD. Although it may have been a bucket handle embellishment, it could also have been from a belt, as was the fashion during this time.

German coins at that time had an eagle on the backside, this one have either 2 lions or 1 lion and 1 dragon like the Latvian coins early 1900.
