      I don’t know your level of training? Considering I train LEO, know LEO standards, and see first hands LEO performance I know exactly how “well” your trained.
      Stop being offended and accept most LEO barely qualify. It’s not a debate. It’s fact and if you don’t like it then train. 🙏

      I'm a firearms instructor and most cops can't shoot worth a crap. You guys have a relatively minimum level of standards/quals to hit, and generally very little rounds required to be fired annually. This dude was a seal. If cops have such high levels of training, why are there so many fat ass cops? Ain't no fat seals my guy.

      ​@@windxmillmilitary training is so far advanced over police officers train. Being down of other people on your team is a necessary component of engaging in team scenarios.     He was right last week because two things can be true at the same time.
    1.) You absolutely have the right to own weapons without nonsense government regulations.
    And
    2.) If you’re going to carry a gun, you have the responsibility to be safe and competent with it.

      That said, should be trained isn’t the same thing as has to be trained.

      Where in the constitution does it say you're required to take tacitcal shooting classes and train though? I do agree training is key but it's not my duty to tell someone they have to train or shouldn't own a firearm. You're going to jail regardless if you use a firearm. You are responsible for every bullet. The responsibility to train and take it seriously is on the individual.

    100% on point. I'm aware of a recent case where a woman was robbed at gunpoint while she was in her car. Her husband had a concealed firearm and was in the car with her during the robbery. When the robbery was over, the robber ran off into the street. Husband chased after the robber, saw him go behind a car in the street and thought it was the robber's getaway car. Husband decided to draw and shoot the car up. Here's the ting: _It wasn't a getaway car_ - it was a family going out for dinner. Inside the car, mom and dad were screaming for their kids to get down. One of the children couldn't hear because they had headphones on. The child was shot and killed in front of the parents. *Just because you have the right to carry a firearm doesn't mean you don't have a duty to train*

      the 2nd amendment is not contingent upon any skill requirements. it is a natural right not subject to government intervention. we are already living in a time where the left uses any crime involving guns against us. there is always an inherent risk to carrying no matter how well you are trained. training is very important as moral responsible individuals, but we cannot use it to gatekeep others who may choose to exercise their right differently or may not have access to the level of training we have. it is not our place. take for example wheelchair bound people and senior citizens. they too have an absolute right to 2a

    I got my first CCW in my early twenties and other than going to a range to shoot I had no formal training. I figured I didn’t need anything like that because I could shoot so well. It was just natural for me. Over a decade later I took a job that required carrying a sidearm and I can honestly say the basic training I got and had to repeat annually along with range qualification was revolutionary for me. You simply don’t know what you don’t know. That level of training inspired me to train more, learn more, and hone my skills due to the initial effectiveness I experienced. And the few unfortunate times when I’ve had to draw my weapon since then have all ended with no loss of life due to the calm and confidence that those learned skills have provided. Keep doing what you’re doing sir and saying what you’re saying. I, for one, think you’re spot on.

    The term "well regulated" means just that, well trained and equipped, it is in the Constitution to train and be proficient with your arms and equipment.

      no amount of training can overcome low intelligence or innate lack of visual acuity, and not everyone will be at the same skill level even after the same amount of training. we cannot place any contingencies on how, why, and for what reason people exercise their 2a rights. just like supporting free speech means you support people's right to engage in hate speech, supporting 2a means you support bubba's right to carry with zero training, or range time.

    Our founding fathers were very presumptuous on the ability of individuals to recognize their responsibilities that go hand in hand with their rights. You are right on. While I've been an firearms instructor for many years, mostly for Boy Scouts, my defensive training is limited. I definitely need to train more and I question every circumstance I can imagine to be competently placing rounds on target. You have a good channel.

For example, freedom of religion comes with/ the corresponding responsibility to accept that others have or may have different religions or none at all, & as such it is the responsibility of the governed to recognize that & not seek to impose their religion, via state requirements, to adopt or not adopt any given religion - ie, it’s not freedom from religion but a freedom of religion to exist regardless of your liking or not liking another’s; else, they could have the same ability to enforce their religion or lack thereof upon you. Similarly, the freedom of speech comes with/ the responsibility to similarly accept that all have the right to voice their opinions AND the corresponding right to respect that others have the right to disagree & say whatever they wish w/o your ability to question. And the same could be done for not only all 5 protections contained w/in the 1st amendment, but also for all other protections afforded w/in the first 10 amendments (or the Bill of Rights).

      I absolutely agree. Unfortunately, many people don't understand that the rights laid out in the Constitution tell the government what they cannot do and that is by design. The Founders rightly surmised that a people worthy of self government would be intelligent enough to understand that and have an according reverence for their rights bestowed upon them by their Creator, it is the root of the reasoning of John Adams when he stated that “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
      When people, in the collective sense, turn their back on the Creator who gave them their rights and become the moral law upon themselves, they lose the reverence for their rights and start to consider them as nothing more than entitlements.

    Well said! We all should be responsible in our training and train often. That doesn't mean you have to be at the range everyday. Practice drawing from your holster (safely), practice getting a site picture, train your eyes to focus. There is so much training you can do to make yourself a better protector.

    Jason , as a retired police officer and rangemaster at our police indoor 25 yd range , If I had a penny for every-time I counted bullet holes in our range ceiling I would be a millionaire . In actuality , out of our 2000 officer department , only a handful of officers would train routinely . Unfortunately, we could only train by CA post guidelines and out training suffered due to liability issues . If anyone trained via outside sources it was considered a liability in court . It’s freaking insane.

      I went from a very large to a smedium size department in CA. I got much more training at the smaller agency because it was manageable.

      I like this because it shows that even with training mistakes can be made (ignoring maybe 90% holes from rookies, some possibly are from normally trained folks).
      Something I think I'll comment to the video is even with training, the gungrabbers will use either police training or civilian train as an argument that the citizen shouldn't have defended themselves with a gun. Even good officers will be in fear of their life if dangerous scenarios present themselves. The argument usually goes, if you were trained you shouldn't have been scared enough to draw etc etc. I think that training definitely helps and you should 100% commit to it, but life doesn't pull its punches. I saw a video of that officer get charged by a dude with a hatchet. Regardless whether that officer felt fear or not he reacted because of his training, so good for him. But had he been scared and did the same thing (defend himself) doesn't make his training anymore more valid or less valid. The reality is sophistry will be used by intelligently dishonest people to justify no one having any right to defend themselves. Where I agree with frogman is this right shouldn't give you license not to train, but where I disagree is that fundamentally you should be able to defend yourself. Obviously, don't endanger others, duh.

    I’m sorry that you felt the need to post this video to another video that was already very clear and concise!
    It is about the most obvious fundamental principle, your rights don’t trump other people’s right to peacefully EXIST. I’m by no means skilled as well as I should be to protect my family, community, and country but I am working on that, I can’t imagine how someone could conclude that they don’t have a massive responsibility to be proficient with any tool… do you have that mindset with a vehicle?!?!

    You’re 100% right. If you’re carrying a weapon you need to train until you’re beyond proficient. You also need to think through your actions in different scenarios and be committed to protecting those around you. It is no small decision to clear that holster in a situation where your assistance is required. Your mind has to be ready to make that decision and take action. Bravo shipmate!

      But that's not what he said in the previous video. To be clear, I never complained or said he needed to apologize. He said that if you were one of the people who shot into the ceiling, you need to stop carrying or stop using firearms. What he should have said was that was an indication that you need a LOT more training, which is what you're saying and I agree with. No one's going to be perfect from the start and training will assist with this.

    Fantastic response. I've preached the same viewpoint for many years to my students. Despite how much time I spend on the subject, some of them get it and some never do. I emphasize that sometimes it's best just to be a good witness. People who do not train for optimal proficiency as a responsible CCW carrier, may as well move to California and take a firearms training class from Alec Baldwin. My final advice in every class is, "Train safe, train smart and train often."

      All of this to call the constitution a foundation to look at (what does that mean?) and tie together the murder of innocents and the bible to justify banning carry without training. "you don't even need a license". We need compulsory training provided by the states period, not what is effectively a license which you say you don't want.

    I respect the content from this channel. I learn so much. And it's from someone with real life experience. Many people simply do not know how it feels when your life is in actual danger. So learning from someone with your level of experience, who has actually been in combat, really should feel like a privilege.

If it were me, I would not hesitate to have you train me and my son. You down there in the US still have room to make changes.     You said exactly what needed to be said. All you need is one knucklehead with a gun. I do instruction, not on your level, but for beginners. I try to bring people afraid of guns to the range to show them they have nothing to fear. I spend the first 30-45 minutes, before we have even touch a gun, just going over the fundamental rules and safety. It is paramount. I am a subscriber and love your channel.

    You nailed it in this video! People who didn’t get your point because they got emotionally butt hurt by hearing the truth don’t matter.
    Doesn’t matter if you’re carrying and if can’t know with confidence that if you have to ever draw your weapon and point it at another human being in self defense or to preserve another life that you you won’t hit another bystander with a flyer.
    YOU MUST TRAIN WITH INTENT AND TRAIN AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN AFFORD TO.

    I agree with you %100!!!! I Kindly told my father the same thing and tried not to hurt his feelings. We went to the range and at 10 feet he was hitting the ground due to lack of grip strength. Carrying a firearm is a HUGE responsibility. If a person chooses to carry and buy a handgun, they should take the next step and train or get training. In a fight, you fall to your training because things happen SO FAST!!! Americans need to harden up and learn to take criticism. If I am wrong I will admit it, if I am right I won't.

    100% on point as usual. I would like to see a video on crowded areas. Weighing your options on whether you should take a shot or not. Myself have an understanding of know your target and what’s behind it but sadly a lot of people don’t. There are times whether it’s at church or a baseball game or whatever and I think “damn this is a tactical nightmare!” and would dare take a shot from where I’m sitting. It’s not a perfect world and we don’t always get to sit at the ideal place or sometimes the ideal place does not exist where we are

    If you carry, train, train, train! Carrying does you no good if you can't effectively put rounds on target! If you carry professionally, you need to shoot more than once a year(re-cert). It's a perishable skill and if you don't actively train....
