@dlwoods(con't) I wish they BOTH didn't seem to resent it so much. I understand moving on, I understand wanting different projects, different roles...but what they created together as this pair of characters is historic. How many people in their industry wish they made that big of an impact on society...wish they could open people's minds, make them think, challenge them emotionally and cognitively. Entertained them when they needed distraction the most... touched their hearts and souls...
@dlwoods7 That wedding clip represents the years from 1978-1981 where Ms. Francis & Mr. Geary were part of a team that changed TV!They took GH from the brink of extinction,to a top rated show that provided most of the revenue for ABC's night time line up. It is historic... incredible. When I see that clip everything they created through those years runs through my mind. The interviewers unfortuanately can't show it all! I know they hate it, and that is part of the reason I posted all of this!!
I started watching susszq's channel after seeing the GH hype in 2013. "The" wedding clips all over the media peaked my interest and then I found this amazing story. At first I watched a few clips and then I started at the beginning. I agree with Susse that the reason I am addicted is...both TG and GF portray strong, capable and passionate characters.
+Zelda Evans i agree Zelda....but my interested was shortly with Luke's farewell I wondered why everyone always fussed about Laura.... And now I am addicted and in love with this characters and their actors TG and GF...so happy she's back :)
+Dania Molina Laura is one of the best characters GH ever created. Completely relatable... though different writing teams had slightly different takes. I hope the current team knows OUR Laura!
@dlwoods(con't) It must be frustrating to have all those years of work boiled down to a few short seconds of a wedding scene... I understand that. (Anyone who hangs here enough will know that that wedding is nothing ever featured here. Hardly even use it in a mvid.) The people who worked on GH during those years were extremely dedicated to producing quality television. They produced YEARS of Amazing entertainment. That wedding scene is just a way to represent it in a blip of airtime.
@Popfan93 The way I see it, she wasn't necessarily referring to Laura's entire history, but the things that happened from 2002 on. We did get a glimpse of that independent Laura in 2008, though.
@Popfan93 I CERTAINLY agree with that statment as well.. I was all there after the Oprah interview.. I thought she meant recent history too.. until in more recent interviews when she started quoting the TV guide cover calling her character the "tragic princess".. and that was the early 80's. Think she meant more than recently .. but that is just the way I have taken the last few times I have seen her talk on the subject. Interesting because Laura is such a beloved character, feel protective! lol
As interesting as this story line was, it was completely far fetched as Luke would never have allowed Laura yo go yo jail. He would have confessed as the killer to have saved her.
@Popfan93 No, well it seems to be the way Ms. Francis remembers it.. and has been commenting on in recent interviews.. and honestly I just don't get it... she saved Luke's rear so many times.. from enemies and from himself. He saved her too... I always saw them as pretty equally matched and that's what made it work for me. I think someone should send her a link to this stuff! ;-)
@sussezq I feel for Genie with these recent interviews. When she tweets afterwards "is anyone tired of seeing the wedding at EVERY interview" you just know she wants to shake that part. If any old Laura scenes need to be shown they should show her with Scorpio holding a machine gun to connect her past to her now on Y&R. ~ "Princess" what do you take from that? I always thought that is what Luke called Laura all through the years not just in the 80's but I may be wrong.
I don't know and I don't remember if it's actually here.... sorry I've been a really long time since it's been posted and I haven't watched this part in a bit

oh I never saw Laura as ANYONE's victim. I saw her as one of the few independent women on the show ever!
Revisionist history...

Zelda Evans Oh, they are SO fantastic! There will never be another couple like them!!
Nope.. never, ever, ever.... truly amazing. They gave us such a gift!!

Dara and Justus got in trouble by the judge! ROFL!

I hate the way Dara shoots daggers at Laura. IMHO, she is just jealous that she'll never be as good a person as our Laura.
What episode has the fire in it ?
I don't know and I don't remember if it's actually here.... sorry I've been a really long time since it's been posted and I haven't watched this part in a bit
