“Can you really call her Noobus anymore?” Good question. I think the answer is yes. Here’s why 👇 1 - To this day she still hasn’t actively sought out a game and played it to completion. Yes, even with Hades. She only plays a few hours of games for these videos. 2 - Did you SEE the bit where she ran around looking for health when health was right there!? 3 - Honestly at this point, I’m not changing the name of the series and saying “my fiancée” or “my wife” over and over is less fun! The day she stops being “Noobus” is the day these videos stop. Neither of us want that because we like making them! ALSO Roguelite recommendations (and Greek Mythology facts) below! 👇 ALSO - I've been asked to flag that my future mrs knows that Megara and Megaera are two different people. She pointed it out but I cut it, and because of all the Hercules references she's worried she'll look silly. MY BAD.
Not a Roguelite, But a Recommendation and loosely related to your secondary recommendation request: Titan Quest. Its an ARPG in the vein of your Diablo's came out in the mid 2000s received an expansion pack as recently as 2021, and its based on Ancient Greek, Egyptian, Chinese, and Norse Mythology! My Favorite ARPG of all time hands down.
A recommendation that is not really like the games she tried before, but it could be interesting. Although i have no idea where to put the cut of point for it: Outer Wilds
Slay the Spire is good if you guys are into deck building, same goes for Monster Train. If you like rhythm games, Crypt of the Necrodancer or the easier Cadence of Hyrule are great, with a new game called Rift of the Necrodancer coming out soon™️ I love The Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon, (I even true 100%’d Isaac 💪) but a lot of the fun in those games is seeing what crazy new thing you find in the next run after losing whatever thing you had in the last run. Side note, the music selection in this video was fantastic, 10/10 no notes
@@KrazyKain Next will be I made my kids play then grandkids, then hell die, hopefully before his wife and the videos will stop. There I finished the chain of events
Feels absolutely great to see/hear her willing to engage the game on its own terms and merits and embracing it wholeheartedly. It's obvious that the game clicked for her. I've been waiting for this sort of reaction throughout the series.
I'm so happy she got absorbed in the game. I think hades is one of the most flow-inducing singleplayer games out there, and it gets an insane amount of focus out of even people who don't usually play games like these.
I've been trying to figure out the hype for 3 years. I'm really impressed by her ability to read the text and care. I died 3 times and I was pretty much done with this game, lol.
@@Largentina.yeah. I still think about picking it back up sometimes, but my experience was so negative and there wasn't much positive about it. If a game doesn't at least interest me a little bit after an hour, I'm probably not going to like it.
You can tell the dedication to not backseat gaming by not telling her about the health she was dashing around while singing "I need health" @31:22 As always, another great watch from you two
Genuinely my favorite Noobus Humanus video to date! Seeing her enjoy herself so much while playing one of my favorite games was everything! I want to watch her play more of this, it was so fun!
This video doesn't have the same laughs but holy crap, watching her fall in love with the game is so joyful. I had a massive smile on my face the whole time. Don't worry mate, this video is gonna do great. Congrats on the nuptials, both of you!
Hades bosses are always really fascinating cause I've heard so many accounts from other people where they'll have a brutal time with one boss and then the next will drop like a sack of potatoes and they're not sure why, I've had it too, where even bosses I've beaten so many times will suddenly give me a really hard time, and sometimes ones I find super hard normally I'll accidentally breeze through
Seeing her enjoying the game so much, getting into it and progressively getting better and better, for me made this the best episode out of the series. Im genuinely hoping for a part 2
This game is so accessible for a roguelite, yet still has the incredible challenge they're known for. I'm incredibly impressed how quickly she adapted to the combat, especially against Lernie. And congrats on the upcoming marriage, mate!
I'm actually playing it, for the first time, right now! I've cleared a handful of runs, nearly maxed out the mirror, completed a few dozen minor prophesies, and got Megara's special.JUST in time to start turning up the Heat 🙂
Personally, I really like Noobus finally finding something she _genuinely_ enjoyed. Sure, clueless flailing can be entertaining but seeing a basically-non-gamer find something the really clicks is fun to see too. Especially when it happens to be something so amazing like Hades.
This was awesome; it was cool hearing your Fiancee talk about all the Greek mythology they put in the game but her singing Baby Shark while going through her last run was hilarious. Congratulations to you both!
Not gonna lie, as someone who really started gaming ~7 years ago (I always wanted to game but didn't really have the means to until my mid-teens) I still haven't beaten the game 50 hours in lol. I don't know if she would stick with it long enough to beat if, but she did, that would be incredible. I think it would feel great for her and I also really want her to react to the story and point out other lovely details in the designs :D
Two things, the soundtrack is a great motivator, and second, the logic of the setting is a way to engage in the rogue-like elements, and that really is a help in this being my favorite game of its type even if it is not my favorite genre.
I'm not a big fan of the rouge genre, but Hades' rouge-lite elements on top of a story that kept me invested from start to finish made me stick with the game until I got the true good ending. Glad the Noobus enjoyed this one and I hope she gets to finish it one day. Also, congrats on the upcoming wedding!
Something about that first attempt at Meg was incredibly compelling. I've seen the fight a million times and yet was totally captivated and invested. Great stuff as ever!
“*muppet noises*” and “Hello bud” were so unfairly adorable. Noobus is very badass and very cute in this video! So glad she had a good time! I’m also a Greek mythology buff and found the way Hades interpreted it to be really fantastic, so I’m glad she found a similar fascination there. AND OMG CONGRATULATIONS MAY THE WEDDING GO INCREDIBLY WELL AAAAAA!!!!
Its genuinely always a great time seeing you introduce her to something new and the fact that she loves this one is amazing. Also huge congrats on the wedding you guys are one of the cutest couples I've ever heard interact
I'm not surprised she grew to love this game. Supergiant is a wonderful studio and all of their games are gems, but this one is their best so far. Fluid combat, wonderful world and character design, great story elevated by amazing voice acting, it's just *chef's kiss* Cannot wait for Hades 2 to come out!
Big congrats on the (upcoming?) wedding, Monty and Mrs Monty. It was great to hear the enthusiasm for Hades from both of you - Supergiant are a special bunch. Hopefully the Noobus will play more of Hades even if off-camera, it's worth it!
Thanks for that. My spouse played this a lot and I, same as your fiancé love greek mythology and was always takes peeks and stuff. We watched a lot of your Noobus Humanus vids and liked them all but for this I was really grateful because I was already intrigued and now even more so. I completely get why your fiancé liked it. I played rogue likes before but this really does looks fun and I do think I'm gonna give it a try now.
I'm glad to see someone else sucked into Hades like I was. Also I absolutely love her accent, especially when she's excited. Just random vowel sounds made me almost spit out my coffee.
It's such a joy to hear/watch someone fall in love with a game. I'm huge believer in the idea that there's always a game out there for someone, they just need to find it. It was a treat to see this video and I hope your fiancee was able to dive back into Hades some more. I hope the two of you are able to explore and find more games that she (and/or both of you) will enjoy and fall in love with! Also, hope your wedding goes well and is everything the both of you dreamed it would be!
Even though Cult of the Lamb might not be the best Rogue-lite out there I find it very charming because of the art style and the cult leader stuff back at the camp. I am also always amazed seing your fiancee play - as a female who grew up being a gamer all my life (and being always surrounded by gamers) I love seing her discover gaming and liking some games more than others.
Yeah, I thin the cult of genocidal lamb is perfect for people relatively new to gaming, it’s just complex enough and the combat is easy to understand and not that hard to get the hang of it, plus it is cute.
This is easily one of the best videos you've made. Hades is such an incredible game, and it's amazing to watch anyone play it for the first time, but with the quality of your editing, informative and funny voiceover and, of course, the quality input of the noobus, it makes it an even greater experience. Congratulations on the wedding! I look forward to the next video.
Honestly, Hades is fascinating, because it manages to take a genre of games that's DESIGNED to be frustrating and the opposite of beginner friendly- And makes you absolutely fall in love with both the most infuriating parts, using, what I can only describe as- Pure creative candy- From the art, to the music, to the story, to just about every little nook and cranny of the game, it makes you want to jump back in for more again, and again, and again, even after your harshest attempts. I hesitate to use the word perfect, but it's honestly insane how much of this game can be described with one word- Butter. It is pure buttery delight to the ears, eyes and even brain. While also throwing in much needed spice to keep from getting stale. Maybe also a sprinkle of cocaine from Dionysus' stash- Shit's addicting after a big win.
This is the only Let's Play-adjacent content I watch cuz not only do I get to hear some genuinely original thoughts on the games but it's also really, really funny. And congrats on getting married, man, that's really cool!
I've been replaying Hades lately (over my new game backlog), and it's great to see the noobus take so well to this game on all fronts. This game is an absolute gem and one I will always recommend. Also congrats on the wedding, and here's to the two of you having many years together
this is probably my favorite noobus humanus, it's so fun seeing her enjoy herself with the actual writing/art and then get cocky cus honestly she deserved it, i remember how brutal meg and asphodel in general was when i started playing hades. Plus the editing was awesome for this, the slow transformation through disney hercules songs was my favorite!!
This was an absolute blast to watch through! It doesn’t always need to be yelling and / or panicing - just her truly enjoying the game was so much fun to watch. Awesome change of pace and I’ll be here for pt. 2 if she’s up for it. 😊
Congratulations on the ceremony, love that she fell in love with the game. I haven't played before but she really makes me want to play and got in her groove and was really killing it!
I am completely and utterly enjoying the video. Seeingsomeone enjoying something i have loved this much, just plastered a wide smile on my face for the entire runtime. It really made my evening and i am so happy to have watched it. Thank you, so much.
This was my favourite one by a mile. Although it's fun seeing people get frustrated, seeing people geek out and enjoy a game is heartwarming and has left me with a right grin. Also, awesome editing/music in this one. Happy nupts!
That was such a great video. I love Hades so much, and it was a blast to see her actually enjoying the experience. I would absolutely watch a series of just her playing Hades. This was really entertaining, probably my favorite in the series.
15:50 that's not QUITE true, you still unlock more, better items and weapons to discover in later runs, not to mention more characters to play as, shortcuts, etc.
Congratulations you two! Celebrating my 14th with my wife on September 4th. I hope you guys keep this up, and mostly just enjoy your lives together. All the best.
I love rouge likes/lites! They're always so fun and it means I can experiment with diffrent builds, and figure out what weapons I really like. I'm also an artist and the art style and character design is SO nice, the writing is also amazing. This game holds a special place in my heart and I'm so happy to see someone playing it for the first time. I wish I could do that again
There's no need for anger to be engaging - your deep explanation of *why* the frustration isn't there is what matters. Hades is a masterwork in deflecting negative energy into forward momentum
It really is telling that since the game is so well-designed when it comes to the rewards of death, it essentially removes any feeling of actual "failure" in the earlier runs - and that combined with all its other charming elements seems to have really made an impact here! My first time playing the game I found once I'd got past Meg I was getting deep into Elysium quite reliably since the hydra (especially earlier on) is a fairly easy boss so it was great to see her beat him too!! This was a very satisfying video to watch
This was such a genuinely enjoyable video, it almost makes me want to boot the game back up and do a few more runs myself, her enthusiasm is that contagious !
I would gladly watch her play this entire game story included until completion, very good seeing her grow just in this one video was a blast let alone imagining what it’d be like seeing her fight hades the first time or even before that fighting the bull and his pretentious friend whose name I forget.
Just a joy to watch. I’ve watched twice now (and recommended to a few friends that weren’t sure on playing) and both times it’s made me want to play it all over again. Hoping the sequel does it justice!
This is the first time I've heard of this channel/series, and I'm so glad I came across it! Your dynamic as a couple is adorable (congratulations on the engagement and soon, marriage!) and I definitely feel like noobus because I'm not much of a gamer myself but Hades quickly became my favorite too. Commenting to support-and looking forward to watching the rest of the noobus series! ❤
That was a ton of fun to watch. I love seeing people enjoy games - it’s great when people find a game that clicks with them. Many thanks, and best of luck with your wedding!
Honestly, her joy at the game has convinced me to download the game again and dive back in (for context I’ve finished the Epilogue, so it’s just some extra things left).
I just found this channel and I absolutely loved it. Hades is one of my favorite games and it makes me super happy to see people enjoying it. Keep up the good content and congrats on the wedding. Also would love to see her play through the rest and see how she reacts to the full story.
This was really entertaining. Lovely to see her playing a game thematically tied to something she's interested in. If we could see more like that it'd be great
Completely different reaction to what I expected! I've seen people with lots of experience bounce off of Hades entirely from boss tilt and seeing Noobus beat Lernie on her first try is impressive. I've been saying since Hades came out that it's the closest thing to mechanically perfect since Tetris. It executes on and melds everything it wants to do so flawlessly that it stays interesting well well into the end game. Great video.
I love that after Ares she clearly had preferences to some gods boons over others. I am glad to see her get really into this one as Hades is one of my favorite all time titles. If she actually plays more of this I would love a part 2 as she works toward Hades. When Hades 2 comes out I believe she will be quite pleased.
Here in Brazil, we have a meme, inspired by a TV show called: Chaves or El Chavo, in which a character says exactly what she said, but he says it wrong: "Vermelho significa PRE-RI-GO!" (in english red means danger or, translating the wrong way he says: red means DRAN-GER) 🤣
Bro, I truly commend your resolve and discipline for adhering to the rules for just spectating as a boyfriend gamer. I become physically uncomfortable, not giving context/tips to my gf when I’m playing a back seater lol. Kudos to you sir. 🫡🫡🫡 beautiful content.
That's Supergiant for ya, fuckers have nailed down the scientific component of Fun since Bastion. (they made a fantasy basketball game and it somehow worked)
Not come across one of your videos in a while but love them still! I think the fact that she enjoyee this game so much made for a great video and was still so fun to watch! Congrats on you guys nuptials!
okay but as someone who LOVES Hades and LOVES seeing the journey of people who aren't too confident going in, every time. EVERY TIME I have them play it,t he game expertly trickles in that desire to keep going....that softening of each death, that slight power bump so you come back stronger every time...that little bit of learning and skill that comes with each run. and it's SO amazing to see people going. when I saw how much funs he was having I was internally begging, BEGGING she would ask to keep going and SHE DID. I was hyped. Then when I saw her facing down lernie? and she beat him FIRS TIME? I LITERALLY fist pumped and verbally said 'atta girl!' at my computer screen as if she could hear me. I was SO PROUD and I'm so happy that she's loving this game so much. I havent even finished the video but I just HAD TO say that. Good job, you earned that fight, keep kicking ass!
the sheer infectious LAUGHTER and JOY and happiness at HER DEATHS is just...selling this for me. I would UNIRONICALLY watch an entire playtrhough or at least a similar video continuation of this, of your commentary and her playing through to actually getting her first clear, I'd LOVE it. If she'd be up for it
I myself absolutely ❤ Hades as well and watching this also pointed out various details I never noticed about the games world and Greek mythos (which I adore). Rooting for you two 🎉
I loved my time with Hades.. i didn't get to the point of having enough until quite a while after the tenth completion, I didn't have the time to go for the long haul, but I loved what i got from the game lore wise and egearly anticipate Hades 2
Seems like she picked it up pretty quick honestly. Hades writing is so good...the attention to detail is great as well if you know your stuff about greek mythology, very easy to be charmed by this game imo
there is something for finding that game that clicks for you like it was made for you, for me that game was Titanfall 2 and Destiny/2 both games i still play both games always having a spot in my heart hope hades finds her well and i hope she keeps finding more ones like this.
Loved this episode especially, it’s so fun to see when games align with peoples interests like Greek mythology. And to see someone really loving a game is great too
I think one of the things that makes Hades SO. different from other Rogue-Lites and Likes is that there’s real purpose to the downtime between runs. It’s where the story happens, it’s where more than half the characters are. The moment to moment gameplay is top notch, but part of the excitement in Hades is in picking up a titan’s blood in the Temple and thinking “ I can’t wait to get back to the house and unlock/upgrade a new Aspect!”
Stellar work as always you two. I'm so glad Noobus enjoyed this so much cause it really is such a gem of a game. Now just wait until she learns there is a second one coming out... Also I blame you for the fact I'm going to watch Hercules instead of going to bed.
That was fantastic, it made me feel like I was playing it for the first time again because her reactions to everything were pretty much my reactions to everything. I'm not a huge rogue like/lite fan but hades has made me more open to trying these types of games, but never have I ever found one that delighted me as much as this. Can't wait for Hades 2!!!!!!
I loved this video, definitely my favorite of the lot. Her genuine enjoyment of the game was way more fun to watch. It also probably helped that I too love Hades despite not liking the rogue like genre. 10 out of 10 video.
“Can you really call her Noobus anymore?”
Good question. I think the answer is yes. Here’s why 👇
1 - To this day she still hasn’t actively sought out a game and played it to completion.

It is pure buttery delight to the ears, eyes and even brain. While also throwing in much needed spice to keep from getting stale.
Maybe also a sprinkle of cocaine from Dionysus' stash-
Shit's addicting after a big win.
Congrats on the wedding! Totally enjoyed her take on why Hades is so damn great.
This was an absolute blast to watch through! It doesn’t always need to be yelling and / or panicing - just her truly enjoying the game was so much fun to watch. Awesome change of pace and I’ll be here for pt. 2 if she’s up for it. 😊
Idk if I would call her a noob anymore at this point, you straight up made her into a GAMER! This was an awesome episode!
I love these videos.
It made me genuinely happy to see she enjoyed one of my favourite games ever to that degree!
Also congrats on the wedding!
Love the “Won’t Say I’m in Love” versions. They seemed to fit right in. Nice touch!
15:50
that's not QUITE true, you still unlock more, better items and weapons to discover in later runs, not to mention more characters to play as, shortcuts, etc.
Congratulations you two! Celebrating my 14th with my wife on September 4th. I hope you guys keep this up, and mostly just enjoy your lives together. All the best.
As a greek mythology lover myself, all of the small details on the gods designs makes me very happy
So happy! I was just watching every video of this series during my flights back home. Cheers!
I just found this series, and I gotta say it is one of the most entertaining on youtube. Love your dynamic too.
There's no need for anger to be engaging - your deep explanation of *why* the frustration isn't there is what matters. Hades is a masterwork in deflecting negative energy into forward momentum
I wanna see her lets play the whole game oh my gawd that was so much funnn
Great video, this may be one of my favourites! Watching the Noobus come into her own power was dope.
Congrats on tying the knot! i would honestly watch a complete playthrough of her playing the game, i thoroughly enjoyed this one!
Just a joy to watch. I’ve watched twice now (and recommended to a few friends that weren’t sure on playing) and both times it’s made me want to play it all over again. Hoping the sequel does it justice!
I love Hades so much. The writing, art style, and gameplay come together to make such a beautiful game. I'm glad the Noobus enjoyed it too.
As much fun as it is to see someone get mad at a game, it's infinitely more satisfying to see someone fall in love with a game that you love too
That was a ton of fun to watch. I love seeing people enjoy games - it’s great when people find a game that clicks with them. Many thanks, and best of luck with your wedding!
Love your fiancée energy ! It was great to watch !! And thanks for all the very interesting Mythology facts. All the best to you two !
This video was great. Really wholesome. I was smiling the whole time hearing her excitement.
Honestly, her joy at the game has convinced me to download the game again and dive back in (for context I’ve finished the Epilogue, so it’s just some extra things left).
Her excitement and joy make me want to reinstall the game and try again. Amazing video!
If we could see more like that it'd be great
Holy cow! Closing in on 100k subs! Congrats on all the progress you've made, in UA-cam and with your relationship. Stoked for you guys!
This video made me pick up Hades, and I haven’t been able to stop playing it. Cheers to you guys!
Hades has crazy good design. I'm not surprised that she understood it so quickly. Great video!
The Hercules-to-Hades soundtrack transition made me pause the video. Well done

Congratulations on the wedding you both.
Her laughter of PURE JOY after meeting Ares is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so glad she loved it!! This was one of the first games that truly hooked me as someone who also does not play many video games
It's so cool seeing her progress and get better. I'm so glad she loves/ed Hades, it's easily one of the best games I played.
I loved this video, definitely my favorite of the lot. Her genuine enjoyment of the game was way more fun to watch. It also probably helped that I too love Hades despite not liking the rogue like genre. 10 out of 10 video.
