Let's talk about catching more fish with paddletails!
Sure, the paddletail is amazing at finding fish...
But wouldn't you like to start catching more fish with them too?
The great thing about a paddletail is that you can cover a ton of ground in a short amount of time.
And if you're rigging and retrieving it according to the conditions you are fishing, you should definitely be catching more fish with this lure.
So in this video, you'll learn:

Can I put any diameter brade on my 210m/.25 8lb reel? Or can I only use .26 30lb brade at max I'm pike fishing so I'd like to use 60lb
Kept these tips in mind when I focused on paddletails today. I caught a stingray, red drum, and sea trout! Thank you for the excellent advice.
Cast let it drop and dont move it , 90% success rate if fish are there, twitch up off the bottom here and there if no bite in the first few seconds, then fan cast to cover area and repeat
Wyatt that drone footage was awesome man
Excellent camera world editing and narration all at a speed worthy of the attention span of an avid you tube viewer
Great free info as always

Wyatt, just realized you are living and fishing in and around the Coastal Bend of Texas! Is that right? We spend about 6 weeks a year down there visiting family in Aransas Pass. Well, fishing...with family around Aransas Pass. And spending any time we aren’t fishing, with the rest of the family lol. We have a sweet Haynie Bigfoot and can make room most days for an extra rod. Love to get out on the local flats with you. Hit me up. We will down for 2 weeks in June. Cheers!
Hey Wyatt now that you have your boat let me get your kayak ☺️ 😂😂
Great info on using weight to fish the water colums!
Thanks!
I’m just thinking about cut mullet beer and that day to fillet.. these slots don’t do it for me anymore lol.. it was fun for awhile but when you catch a good 32 inch red and higher these little ones seem Idk.. they need to live if you really think about it.. the old ones well they had there turn in life
Can you please tell me the brand of paddletail lure your using and how long with what size of hook? Thanks and absolutely the best how to fishing video available. Thanks
He’s using salt strings brand, I’m not sure what size hook he’s using but I think it’s a 3/0
@@iancampbell1494 I fished with Wyatt a while back and he recommends a 3/0 1/8 ounce
Great video Wyatt. Why does the jerk shad out perform the paddle tail?
I disagree the paddle tail is lethal!
Both are awesome lures to use! Jerk bait trigger more reaction strike when fish aren’t aggressive or feeding. Paddle tail is just a great all round lure!
Thats all nice, but when you have to fish from the bank, makes it kind of limited.
Meh not really if your fishing from shore you just do 5 casts and then move 10-15 yards and repeat you can cover a lot of ground
I fish tampa area and need help picking out colors for soft plastic
For paddletails, the slam shady color has been the most consistent for us in Tampa Bay... the Slam Shady 2.0 has been the top producer of them all.
@@Saltstrong is the slam shady like a pearl whiteish color
@@frostizz2072 Here's a link to see how it looks (pearl with silver and gold flakes): fishstrong.com/collections/saltwater-lures/products/slam-shady-paddletails-2-0?variant=32801595228245
