Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. When I first started watching the video, I had doubts that either of us would figure out how to use the pedal. It was worth the ride. Have you posted any more videos on the Spk pedal?
I have not, in fact this was pretty much the last video I was able to do before I had surgery. I am close to coming back with more content soon! I want to do a quicker version of this one where I'm not "learning" how to use it...
@@sparkamptutorials2169 can the non spark ( regular lite version) be programmed to work with the spark? Trying to find out because I would like to have 1 unit that can serve my spark when I want and also be used with my other rig, if I reprogram it.
As thrilling as it may have been to watch you open the box and unpack something, kind of a waste of time for us to watch you learn. Been a whole lot better video if you would’ve already done all that and learned what you want to show us and then just show us.
I got the huge disappointment when I first got the airstep and lost my app control haven't messed with it in over a year as I have a Laney AOR 100H and Marshall 2x4 1960 cabinets A&B plenty of effects just wanted a small amp for those beach trips and jamming in the man cave at low volume ... Great vid BTW !!! Subscribed keep rockin!!
Thanks for the video. Question - do you miss the programming functionality from the airstep app that comes with the airstep lite (non amp specific version)? E.g. with that could you program long press's, etc., right?
A bit, yes. But the way they pre-programmed with the Spark amp generically makes a lot of sense. I haven’t played with the non Spark version enough to give a good take on how much I would use those functions/features.
Thanks for the good work. Question: Is there any latency when switching from preset to preset on the fly? Say like, playing a lead setting song intro, to rhythm setting for a verse etc. . ?
No latency. I did hear from someone that they had to reset their Spark to factory default. Which isn’t a big deal if you have your tones saved in the app.
I purchased this pedal back in October of 2021. They promised a November firmware update that would "provide full compatibility with the SPARK Android app and SPARK Amplifier at the same time". It's late February 2022, and they just emailed me back that their November 2021 firmware update "should" arrive by MAY of 2022. Honestly, this 3rd party pedal will never be able to log in to the SPARK amplifier and the SPARK android app at the same time. In contrast the SPARK CONTROL Pedal from Positive Grid, offers full SPARK amplifier and SPARK android app compatibility at the same time, for the same price.
Do you know if the Airstep light can control both the Yamaha THR & Spark amp. I am a tad confused because they make a dedicated pedal for both amps. Also Spark now makes a foot pedal dedicated to the spark amp. How does it compare to the Airstep? Thanks for any advice!!
There is no aspect of "un-boxing" that would be lessened why you're taking it and learning the basics prior to doing a tutorial. I can fumble around on my own.
Good to know this is possible. But I have to admit the process is slightly insane. Or maybe quite insane. It was easier to get my drone pilor's license than to follow this. But without your instructions, I'd be lost for certain. Thank you,
This would be great to have but they cost almost as much as I paid for the amp itself. If the price was in the $100.00 - $150.00 range they would sell a ton of them.
@@sparkamptutorials2169 Ok, that's not bad. When they first showed up on my Facebook feed I clicked on it and it was $200 plus shipping but at $99.00 I'll probably order one. Thanks for the heads-up.
I did buy it very recently and didn’t realized that the Spark version is actually separate from the Lite version. Because of that i cannot use the apps. I’m so mad at them but also after me because, i didn’t check carefully before i ordered. Watching so many youtube videos before i decide myself to order it. Also, based on the documentation (which is not clear enough ), i spent more than 4 hrs trying to set it up. Grrrrrrrrr

Thank you so much I've been looking at this and now I'm gonna pull the trigger!!
Awesome! My later videos were a bit more short and sweet than this one! :)

Does it only work with spark products? I am looking for a foot switch to control tracks.
Hi how long does it take to fully charge this item?

Fair point.
I’ve decided to make a much shorter “to the point” version. It will be just a “how it works” and a review section. Thank you for the feedback!
Nice video, how can you return to the original factory preset for each channel?
Do you mean for the Airstep or for the Spark amp? I can try to get back to you on that.
@@sparkamptutorials2169 For the amp
Do you have to update the firmware on the footswitch to use in 2023? I just want to use it in mode 2?

Did you ever find out what the function button is for?

Thanks
So what's with the white and black Bluetooth antenna? Any difference?

Do I always need to disconnect or forget my spark amp in order to connect to the air step?
I don’t recall specifically, will need to double check.

Is the lite version smaller than regular version? Or is the lite the only one available?

I haven’t yet done my Spark control video. Hopefully soon! But I hear ya!
Yo with my android device I can only control from app or airstep for tone control but with my iPhone 13 I can control tone from both app and airstep !

Lol, I’ll take it! The video turned out to be a little silly since it was basically me figuring out how to use it… I’ll do a better one soon.
