Dude this is fine and all with these kind of premade tracks to play along with but a basic question, can I not just put on the original Metallica - From Whom The Bell Tolls on Spotify through the Spark app and play along with that ? Or how does that work ? Thanks for answering this important question that many seem to want to know about but no one is really answering =(

@Spark Amp Tutorials Please man, you did not answer I think the most important question that A LOT of people seem to have with this video and that question is : Can you play along with songs from Spotify, UA-cam and so on, can you for example put on a Metallica song from Spotify and then play your guitar with all the effects along to the song out from the Spark ? And then plug in your headphones so you can practice and play along with your guitar to music through Spotify and UA-cam without disturbing your neighbours? Because that is like the biggest reason I would get a Spark. Really looking forward for an answer because I have not found anybody on youtube that answers this kind of basic and important feature =) CHEERS and thanks for your tutorial videos man!

Huge issue with Spark app and my Spark 2. When trying to change audio settings in the app, it crashes.When I do get into the settings without it crashing, all bluetooth is set and in the iOS, I am connected to both Spark 2 Audio and Spark 2 BLE. It does not record and/or play any sound.

Does this work when you don’t have the Spark amp actively open on your phone or iPad? That’s the worst part about the Spark controller. You have to have the app open for it to work sometimes I want to be in Spotify or UA-cam doing backing tracks but yet the controller doesn’t work.

Can you do it in the app without having to be actually in front of the amp?

I've just never touch it and leave on for everything (I'm convinced it doesn't actually do anything and if you turn it off sparks adds noise just to trick you into thinking they added more features!)

How do i play the music through the speaker? My phone is connected by Bluetooth in the app and it still plays the music only through the speakers on the phone:(((

I have the Spark MINI and love it. Lately I've been trying to model my Blackstar HT-1R combo 1W tube amp n the app just to see how close I can get. I think the SAB Driver sounds most like Blackstar's OD channel, at least it has that thump chug tone when palm muting and more aggressive. But I also like the mellower Over Drive because the way I play the HT-1R is using the clean channel at noon and my DIY grey spec DOD 250 Preamp Overdrive that I built.

I've "favorited" a bunch of tones (by downloading the tone and tapping the little heart, right?), but my favorite list is empty. When I tap on 'Favorites', it comes up as No results found". What's up with that?

Whats the best setting for all the pedals for Rythem, Lead, Solo, and Custom for my spark mini amp setting Basically what I'm trying to say is I want to go through all the pedals in all 4 settings and set the pedals up to the right sound Basically for when I'm doing covers of songs at home because I don't want to overstimulste my spark amp with the pedals not being at the right setting

So, bottom line, you can't use the app, the amp modelers and pedals etc without the Spark amp, right?

This amp is a turd. I had soo many high hopes for it. Even cheap Chinese apps don't struggle to connect.

what amp setting you had during the demo on the hardware? Hi-Gain? or Clean?

Unfortunately, on the lowest setting, it cuts off my guitar, so renders the amp impractical for my tone. I may try a pre-gate, see if that helps, otherwise you'll see it at Goodwill.

So annoying the volume goes back up really loud EVERY TIME you change amps. Seems to drastically change the outputs. Drops sound or sustain completely on some presets if you try and adjust outputs. Loud or nothing basically. Sucks when you are trying out the different presets to see what you like and are constantly fiddling with volume controls. Don't know how you could use this in a gig situation. Touch one control knob and its F,*#"s everything up. And why doesn't my Spark '40 Glassy' hardware preset not even show up on Hardware list ? I'm starting to hate this amp.

What is the output for then??? Gain, Master, then output.

I get no volume on the music knob, bluetooth connects but no sound. Tried factory reset, no guitar cable, resetting bluetooth, software update, i even chexked if the volume was turned up on all devices. Reckon the knob pot if busted?

Thank you for using a clean amp to start with. Too many UA-cam videos play pedals/fx through a crunchy amp, you can’t really hear what the effect is doing. It would be nice to use an amp for part of the demo that is at edge of breakup.

I'm sorry. Your video is fine, but this is an absolute nothing burger of a feature in the spark app. I can do exactly the same thing by recording a video using the iPad or android camera and playing a boom box for a backing track. This feature adds nothing. Other videos on UA-cam seem to imply it routes the audio directly from the app. I bought ithevfoatl 40 because I thought this feature was breat. But, sadly, it wasn't. I didn't discover until I moved my chair that the app was using the iPad microphone. It was a major disappointment.

Thanks Andy. I got the looper to work at last. The Xsonic youtube clip left out an important step which you include: Press B and C buttons to get the Airstep to be available to the IOS. You get mixed up in your vid and tell us that the last or E button is for Dub/Record when it is in fact the A or first button. Never mind small potatoes as after they all connect up and you have downloaded the firmware the xsonic vid follows the footsteps. Thanks again. That was stressful. Phew :)

So i recently got the mini and follwed his steps. It does NOT seem to save/override the default tones on mini..We should be able to not have spark app on and still listen to mini with overwritten tones, no? When i shut off app and just go to mini its the same default tones and the ones i saved arent there.????

I bought the Spark 40. It's horrible. My Marshall MG 10 has a better sound and is WAY louder.

I just got my Spark 40 and trying to use backing tracks. They are playing on my iPhone but I am not hearing anything. Should this play through the amp or iPhone. Thanks
