i love your style, i love the way you overlap layers and layers of colors to create something so intricate yet so delicate... this illustration kinda reminded me of Song of The Sea, there's something mysterious and magical, something hidden in this piece and I LOVE IT!! I wonder how you are able to not getting the paper destroyed with all those coats of paint 😯

Hi, your illustrations are wonderful :) I have que question : each time I try to paint with watercolor, my colors mix on the painting. I think that it's because I don't wait for it to be completely dry before going on in my paint. I don't see you using any hair dryer. How do you do ? Do you just wait for your paint to be dry to go on ? (I know it's a stupid question, but I really wonder how you do)
Rozankya yes, i just wait. I always paint more illustrations alternately. So im just going on with the next layer of the next illustration ☺ or i have something else to do. But when i only paint on one illustration i also use a hairdryer sometimes ☺
I have one question Iraville, I have canson XL watercolor block, i thought it will be ok to do watercolor but I see your paint smoothes very nicely unlike me, and I don't know if it's the paper, or my watercolor (wich i doubt it). Or if you are so kind to do a zoom of the edges to see if is the paper or I am imagine it... thanks for advanced :)
i use the canson heritage paper here. it´s very smooth but also very very expencive. compared with the canson XL paper Heritage is the the professional Artist paper made with 100% Cotton and XL more for study (but ist also possible to paint smooth on it). but canson also have great other papers inbetween the XL and Heritage (like Moulin du roy or the Fontenay (have a look on the canson web page) There are also so many other great papers out there you should really try out more than just the xl paper (a lot of papers are also available in big single Sheets so you dont have to buy a whole block)

Hi Iraville, can you please tell me what masking tape you are using? Mine always tear some of the paper off :(
not all papers are good for masking tape, but this one is the best i could find. is kamoi tape (or Tamiya 300087063 in germany)
