    Your pieces... beautiful. I really don't think any other artist's work has made me feel the way yours does; warm, nostalgic but a little bit sad too, like walking outside after a shower of rain. Thank you for that.

    Great work Iraville! I've seen a lot of your videos and your work, so I have two things to say. 1.) This beautiful painting, imo, is definitely one of your best paintings. 2.)I can tell a painting by Iraville without watching the video or looking at the description for the the painter, which means that your paintings have a unique look that is your own and distinguishes your paintings from others. Which is so neat b/c it makes an artist's paintings unique and original. It's pretty cool because when I see a thumbnail pop up with your painting i instantly know it's one of yours, with no doubt. Awesome job Iraville and best of luck to u.

    Hi Iraville,
    Very Nice picture and captivating editing !! I really like your colour choices and you are not shy with your work on the door :) I like also the minimal pencil work in this one.
    May I ask a practical question ? @5:46, we see on the left of the screen what appears to be your preliminary design/color study. Is that true ? What medium did you use for this study ? Photoshop ? Do you plan to release a wideo ;) on your overall illustration process, from sketch/design to tonal/colour study before painting ? Please ? This is be a very interesting subject for any painter apprentice.
    Thank you a lot for sharing your work. You are an inspiration for a lot of people, me first. Your chat/tutorial videos are gold and i love your accent :)

    • @iraville
      @iraville  8 років тому +1

      yes, its a digital rough Color study and the sketch i printed out. i do Color studies like this extremly rarely only when the illustation is more complex or when i try something new (like here with the light and the cold warm contrast of the warm light and the cold Stone wall). the Problem i have with recording digital process is that my Computer start to lagg extremly after a while and i cant work anymore so i dont know how i can show that, but i also sometimes do watercolor Color study, this is something i can record the next time i plan a bit more. but most of the time i choose Colors more spontaneously :)

    • @iraville
      @iraville  8 років тому +1

      i also will try to solve the Problem with the lagging while recording painting digitaly....that i can Show sketching process there too in the future

    it is really beautiful! What watercolor brand you use?
    I used the Winsor and Newton! It's a good brand? (Sorry for my bad english)

    • @iraville
      @iraville  8 років тому +2

      you can find the watercolors i use always in the description box (i use a lot of diffrent brands). In general Winsor and Newton is a good brand. but they have diffrent quality watercolors. like the professional once are very good and high pigmented Artist quality and the cotman watercolors are medium student quality not that high pigmented like the professional once but still way better than school-watercolors and perfect for lerning because they are not so expencive like the professional ones :)

    Blown away. This is one of my favorite by yours (+ that half circle forrest illustration). I love the style, the motiv, the back-turning character, the umbrella and the whole color scheme.
    Thank you for recording this : )
    A very VEEEERY tiny nitpick, but really absolutelly everybody does that: A speedpaint is usually a very quick painting. But I don't know a good english word for a sped up video of a painting process- i would maybe use "Timelapse" or "sped up process". Timelapses are usually only photos that are then cut together : / But please, stay with the word you feel comfortable with, because everybody seems to use "speedpaint" as "sped up video" nowadays. Sorry, if this is a bid pedantic.
    Thank you for making this video. I love your art and am so happy that I can see you creating beautiful drawings!

    • @iraville
      @iraville  8 років тому +11

      haha, i know what a speedpaint really is. but i use this word because everybody here on YT is using it for timelapse Videos and i think they also search for the word speedpaint when they looking for Videos like that. and no, not pedantic. you are totally right :D and thank you so much for your comments

    Ich finde das Bild wunderschön:) Ich liebe alte Buchläden, die haben so etwas Geheimnisvolles, und den Regenschirm mag ich auch-und den Rest natürlich auch! Und es sieht am Ende sehr schön aus, wie du den Regen eingeblendet hast, das verändert nochmal die ganze Stimmung des Bildes, denn davor im Video sah es eher sonnig aus, was mir auch gut gefiel. Der beste moment war, als dieses Masking Fluid runter war, ich benutze das auch richtig gerne^^ Hoffentlich komme ich mit diesem Kommi nicht zu schleimig rüber xD

    Ira, I always love and enjoy watching your videos. You are a great illustrator!!! However, I feel like the white balance on your vids is always off, I don't know if that is on purpose ;) but I think your awesome illustrations deserve realistic representation and I'm sure the red/pink tint makes them a little different than the original
