Maybe two suggestions. A fire extinguisher handy, and to make sure key is off when dis-connecting the plug to the pump, or dis-connect the battery. Wouldn't want your garage to go up in flames. These are great videos ! Very helpful.
Great question. No, you don't need to cycle the key on that test. Continuity is measured without any power going through the circuit (usually the part is disconnected/removed from the circuit). All you are doing is making sure there is a complete path for power to flow through. So if you don't have continuity or if you have high resistance, then you found your problem. -Charles
I can’t see the comment got a notification of a message but cannot see it. It goes up to 25 miles per hour in high gear low gear stays around 10 miles per hour
When I tested my pressure it went to 80 psi on 2 separate gauges. Mine wasn't a passive set up like yours just straight to the gauge. I did hit the button and purge it 3 times but it still went to 80 psi. Is that normal?
I have a 2015 rzr xp 1000 my fuel pressure is at 30 when i turn the key on and it drops down real fast to 0 as soon as it hits 30 psi it drops to 0 fast
2012 Polaris ranger 800xp we changed fuel pump, starter, battery and it still won’t start. It clicks and after the key is out you then hear a clicking by the actual starter?!! Help
Hey Charles, I have a rzr4 900 eps 2015 and i did the 3 turn of the key and got roughly 195-200. I guess I'll put the gage on it tomorrow. It once died going slow up steep hill due to traffic. And couldn't get it started for a few hrs, just a little paranoid of dying out on the trail. Anyone got a clue any info would be appreciated. 🇺🇲🇺🇲

10/10 exactly what the do it yourselfer needed to know and see. Thank you so much.
My 2014 RZR XP 1000 has a Schrader valve fitting on the fuel rail. Why not check the fuel pressure there?
My thoughts exactly, I checked mine on the shearer valve
Would this cause it to bogg down then jump up again
Question regarding continuity within the pump. When you tested this at leads 3 and 4 do you have to cycle the key on/off at all?

So if I don't have consistent reading holding at this test fuel pump bad?
Hey Charles good video will that pressure stay at 58 PSI while it's running even though you test it when the machine was off?🇺🇲🇺🇲
My I ask u something about poraris 900cc rzr
I have the code 66028 on my 2020 Rzr Turbo s you think it’s the fuel pump when I step on the gas petal it dies
What if you have power at plug and relays cycle but Pump doesn't cycle when key is turned?
Would this be the cause of a vehicle not taking off like it ahould
When it’s driving does it rev up but it won’t gain speed past 5-10 mph? Kinda stalls out?

Where can I get that quick connect adapter you are using on the fuel pressure gauge?
That was part of the fuel pressure gauge that we got from the local Polaris dealer.
