Thanks for posting this! There were so many memorable races from the late 80's through the mid 90's. I'm thankful this is the NASCAR I grew up with! That shot of Terry pulling into victory lane that night is an iconic moment in this sports history...
not a problem. I will have a couple of more to post hopefully this week. As you may have noticed, the races I post had Terry Labonte winning the majority of them....he was my favorite driver since the mid-1980's.
Hell of a race, action packed from beginning to end!! I remember watching this race live at age 10, it was awesome!! You just can’t compare this to todays racing or the stands would still be packed.
DW finished 4th in this race while pitting on the back stretch. Back stretch pitting used to be a death sentence at Bristol, Martinsville, Rock and Darlington.
My favorite time in Nascar. What Earnhardt did to Wallace is what the #3 did and God forbid if someone put a bumper to him they were the worst driver in the world. If the #3 drove clean he would be lucky to have 3 championships.
2:50:40 at the start of the coverage Dr Punch said a batterd up 3400 lbs stock car will make to victory lane well.... he didn't expect this to happened
Sounds like this race could have doubled as "Saturday Night Fights" (Dale Earnhardt slamming Terry Labonte just before Terry took the checkered flag as the main event; with a post-race incident between Dale and Rusty Wallace {who had been beating and banging earlier; with Rusty tossing a water bottle at Dale at one point after the race} and an undercard between Brett Bodine and Bobby Hamilton wrecking twice, with Bobby being black flagged for 5 laps)
Modern NASCAR races suck compared races of the 90s. I hate the chickenshit burnouts everyone now days when they win a race. The only time someone should do a burnout is 1) win their first race 2) win the Daytona 500 or 3) win the championship. If you didn't do any of these, drive your happy little ass to victory lane and celebrate there.
Ethan Benfield for rain? Not always the wisest thing to do. If the cars are rolling around, and the rain isn't that heavy, especially on a concrete short track, it's a great way to keep the track dry.
Old Bristol before three times resetting the race and now the hop in car and go smash up like ANTIFA no good!!!!!! The rubbing is racing deal. Texas Terry LaBonte says, "I win race with Dale putting me in wall." Today Chase Elliott puts Logano in wall after Kyle Busch puts him in the wall and Chase goes in pit road with 2 laps to go. Eeek!!

Great old school racing. Love the Speedworld theme at the end of the video.
Actual NASCAR is old school racing too
Terry was my driver growing up. I remember watching this race and going crazy for him winning and cursing Dale Earnhardt ( which I did often ).
Ahh old Bristol before they ruined it.
Terry Labonte. the man with ice in his veins. He's never rattled..
That’s when racing was real 8 cars on lead lap

What a crazy race.
i hate how in the late 90's they rushed people out the cars at victory lane
Well, in this case I totally understand it because the race had already gone well over its slotted time after the rain delay earlier in the night.
#3 left his run just half a lap late
How could Nascar let them race with pit road soaked like that? lol
Very funny what Benny persons said when terry Knocked the hood off the Chevy after he won

what a race ty
you would think they would red flag the race and not just run around under caution forever

Wall job and Terry still won
