Man 2:03 blood fury tooltip from tbc I almost had a heart attack cause I doubted myself for a second that i've been killing myself in retail for years as orc by using it. that -50% heal reduction god damn.
Definitely, ele shamans get way more damage from a crit due to their passives. I swapped out haste for crit back in 9.0.5 and my rating immediately skyrocketed. Getting an earth shock crit is a big win condition for ele. Echoing shock into earth shock is your best damage and if just 1 of those crits it can be what you need to secure the kill. If both crit you can instantly kill someone from like 60% hp
@@benkipgen646 You see them casting stormkeeper before this happens, when you see that you know you gotta respect it with a cd of your own or using los.
As someone else in the comments also asked. Is crit really ahead of haste? -> Now that we use skybreaker's. Haste helps with flame shock ticks, let's you cast everything in your toolkit faster and crit has no effect on lava burst damage. I've also gone through many many of the top rated Elementals early season and I only see haste stacked, balanced stats or some with mastery stacking (restoration mains probably).
Ever since the earth shock buff and lava burst nerfs crit has been on the rise. Getting a 17k earth shock can easily change the game or straight out win. I haven't seen anyone talk about it too much but the new flame shock talent also helps insta lava bust procs reducing the need for more haste
@@shaunf302 - But the legendary was even before this liking haste. If you want more fire ele up-time. If you want crits from earth shock then ye. I'm personally not fond of fishing for earth shock procs at the opportune moment, when it can just end up being less dmg than a single lava burst at times. Edit: When I say opportune moment I mean that getting two back to back 15k earth shocks doesn't matter if the target has 40k+ hp and then some defensives on that. Not sure what I think about it.
@Soulbinds: Why should I pick something that spreads 5% (FIVE!!) of dmg over 5 seconds, but ONLY if this dmg is dealt over(!!) 80%(!!) HP. Rofl, that's the worst pick in the entire tree. If it would be below 30% it would make more sense (a tiny bit) but it would still be bad. This Soulbind would only be good if something would kill you in a SINGLE blow (dealing 100% of your HP as dmg) and now it deals only 95% and you survive with 5% and a dot. In ANY other case this shit is completely useless!! It don't absorbs dmg it just transforms it into a dot. It only does that to the dmg over 80% so in most cases it's 5% from 0-20% (5% from 20% is 1% of your total HP). And all that when you aren't even close to death xD You are almost full HP when this crap happens! And why the hell would you recommend that crappy finesse slots over Refreshing Waters??? Even Condensed Anima Sphere is better that that garbage paws with a 1 minute CD, lmao. GREAT GUIDE!!!
lol and what about if im NF? u should keep in mind for players who plays mythics and also want to do pvp, lol sry about my english but u got it xD ty for ur guide
Why is everyone that hyped about control of lava "dispell protection"?? I see it a pretty piece of shit... its damage is really low (6k with 226 ilvl to equal geared players), and its stun has the same duration as the global cooldown needed to dispelling it.... Im just seeing it a shit -.-
Mate, it’s 8k, and it can absolutely reck games and make healer swaps much more easier. I’ve played with it, and I will never play without it. You cannot dispel flameshock consistently without getting destroyed throughout a match.
@@jonathanpaxevanos2830 I still feeling it is so weak...at least compared with shadowpriest or UA. In my opinion control of lava should do twice damage or twice CC to make dispellers think twice. otherwise it is still better to dispell it than eating a truck of lava bursts
Firstly you are playing sky breakers legendary which gives +25% tick speed. With control of lava it’s up to +40% and most of those hits are going to crit. Flame shock is doing about 20~25% of my dps in a game. If the healers are stupid enough to dispel a lot it’s even more with huge control of lava hits that can crit for over 10k. Having dispel protection allows you to keep flame shock up on all targets for most of the game which does a lot of damage and gives constant control of lava procs for more dps and maelstrom to spend on earth shocks. It makes a huge difference. Patch 9.0.5 I struggled to output large dps as ele compared to some other classes. Since 9.0.1 I’m typically doing the most damage in arena with control of lava and skybreakers
Hey guys, we'll be back tomorrow with our resto druid guide. Enjoy!

Is the Shackles of Malediction trinket not a good option? Thing seems busted if you use it immediately after the opposing healer dispels
hey is that really legendary of choice? i just leveled my sham to lvl 60 but i don't see people playing it.
Mic volume is a bit low. Vid is awesome as always
plz make an arm warrior guide so confuse now. Love you
Why Crit over Haste?
Are we sure crit is better than haste?

I still dont understand elemental shamans. Sometimes I’m fighting them and then I just die.
It simple mate. Our main form of dmg comes from echoing shock, earth shock, fire elemental meteor, 2x instant lightning bolts from storm keeper.
Ikr. Die in seconds. Don't even see them casting 😂
@@benkipgen646 You see them casting stormkeeper before this happens, when you see that you know you gotta respect it with a cd of your own or using los.
@@TGShunai yeah I learnt that the hard way lol
they require 2-3 gcds of setup, it's not a melee mongo that just facerolls it's way to 1800
I think you guys used the TBCC description of the orc racial Blood Fury, retail BF does not reduce incoming healing effects.
i was in shock for a second because i use it in a macro so i thought im trolling my team

Why cannot I find these last few 9.1 class vids in the paid skillcapped site? Wtf
As far as i know, you can not get the Adaptive Armor Fragment if your class has no tank spec :/
I thought embrace of earth was a resto only conduit?
it's not, ele and enh have access to earth shield vía talent
Is it any good in 9.1?
Ele is always good recently
Def good but not as easy as playing any melee and mongoing it down, however at the top end it is better then many melee.
Love the vids! But yeah are chains not viable at all 😭

Remember it also makes flame shock tick 15% faster to more procs, and yes the damage isn’t great but in damping it starts to really shine
The 15% faster tick is just too good to not pick it
