A small zip tie would help keep it in place too. Thanks for the video

I would do both as zip ties often get hard after a while and break.

Wet your knife blade and it should cut easier. What a great idea and video, I didn't even know I had such a thing.

I have sport suspension too but the link you provided in the description isn't for the ones you're using in the video. Can you please provide the link for sport suspension bump stops?

great tip thank you..wish I saw this months ago!!!! I paid about $1500 to have all 4 bump stops on my 996 turbo replaced. They also did the front strut mounts which was a few hundred more in parts and done within the 8 hours of labor charged.
how has your fix held up? even if you did this once per year its much cheaper than the route I went down! cheers

Sounds good and I just did my 987 boxster both rear and front. Removing the old bump stops were difficult as well as getting the boot align.properly with those bump stops, especially the rear ones. Posted the steps on planet-9.. If this can last a year or so I would be happy as I expect the Krazy glue to dry out....

How has this held up so far???

This is the wrong way of doing this. It’s a very bad idea !!!!!! The crazy glue stick to the seal. Then as you let the car down the seal of the shock lets loose. It cost me two shocks!!!!
Again, bad idea. Don’t do it !!!!!
