It's 2019, watching this from many many years back... goddamn, those pulls! Was so obsessed with this car back when I drove a Z31 300zx.. upgraded to Z32.. then moved over to BMW E36, now I've a 2004 E46 M3 with the S54 motor. The sheer raw power from such a high-strung I6 with incredibly sensitive throttle response is such an amazing drive, especially with the mods installed (full suspension rebuild, VANOS unit rebuilt, intake/exhaust, Conforti shark injector chip tune, etc) it's absolutely incredible.. but I'm also absolutely certain that the R34 GT-R Vspec w/ the RB26 motor is even more of a blast! To have both parked in my driveway.. I wouldn't want any other cars, not an M2/M3/M4 of today's shit BMW, not the new GT-R, not even a Ferrari (if you're talking about a 430 Scuderia, that's tempting ;)). The original Godzilla is KING in my book still!!
@crzygutrsnobrdr I agree *sigh*. It would have been interesting to see Nissan develop an rb35 or something greater. From what Ive seen out of the VR38, there is nothing to worry about. We already know that the VR can make 1000 whp on OEM block and liners. Tuning wise, it seems like itll surely surpass the good old inlines.
@crzygutrsnobrdr Aye, Hennessey has that and the GTR800. The fastest in the quarter mile is currently the Greddy SPE1000, it did a 9.6@150. Check out dragtimes and look at the various modified R35s. AMS is almost finished with their 1000+awhp build, so we will have to see what kind of times that car sets.
I'm not a car person, I'm a mountainbiker, so a bicycle person, but this car has always made me fall in love with it, very similar to when I saw my MTB the first time, I was like a 13 year old seeing the "hottest" girl in reality (Not in real life, everything is in real life, just some things not in reality)
One thing about the rb26 and 2jz is that both their gear ratios from 1st to 2nd is real close. They're legendary motors, but getting out of 1st gear is a hassle. lol
The MPH gauges is aftermarket parts and some special models like the v-spec v-spec II, Nür came with this gauges and the ratio in 3rd gear can reach almust 110mhp. This car fully loaded is dam faster.
@oneshotcon yea but the vr i did a LITTLE bit of research and to me.it seems like it would be a challenge to get it to 1000.but yes a rb35 would of been awsome.because a 2.6l its so small and then to pay liek 6k for a stroker kit thats only .25 liters is stupid.the supra you pay 5k and get .4 liters.
@nitrousboy0311 it was my friend that said that comment,but he heard somthing about boring/stroking it to 4.3 which would be highly unlikly unless you made your own kit.but i know that you can stroke it out to 2.85

@oneshotcon i did see a 700hp 1 tho i beleive it was a hennesy? or hefner 1 of the 2.but i just dont get how there are still cars that can out handle the gtr.its not the fastest off the line car.but you get power instantly from it.only if they made chips for it :D you would get like 150 more hp

@crzygutrsnobrdr I think the learning curve has been passed by the big tuning houses at this point though. They've pushed the VR's OEM limits, and even developed many forged parts. In a few years, what the tuning houses have done to the car should be more accessible. Silly Nissan thought their gtr couldnt be cracked lol

i want to get a skyline.make it as my snow car.throw some 255 wide snow tires.gt35 turbo (less lag) stroke it out to 4.3.do some internals.and then a supra as a summer car.of course with a good 1000hp.wouldent that be a nice garage? o and a brabus smart car :D

@oyousef11 Not really, The R35 (2012) is much quicker to 120-130mph from a standstill but with a rolling start it might be quite close.
I think this one has a good bit of work done to it. A stock R35 would get its ass handed to it by this 34.

All GT-Rs have manual trans. Plus you can hear the shifting the car.
