      I agree with you! Before I filmed this I didn't realize mules could do this. But Ty Evans (the mule trainer who is Featured) Even helped us get our mule over a boulder!

      My quarter horse did all this, but he was up for anything, only issue I had with this vid, and that’s just a personal preference really, is that I would have liked to have seen protective boots and leg wraps to ensure no cuts or grazes on the rocks, couple there scraped the fetlocks of their front legs

    Sou de 1960, Porto Firme, MG, Brasil.
    As mulas foram presentes em praticamente todas as nossas tarefas diárias, locomoção, lida com o gado, transporte de mercadorias e lazer, animais tão versáteis que é muito difícil encontrar par em entre seus similares, é difícil imaginar a vida naquele período sem os muares...

    What do you do when a mule gets injured?

    • @rusty2998
      @rusty2998 6 років тому +2

      Evi Marioli I think they'll check where the injury is and how bad it is. If it's a leg scrape they'll still move along but if it's worse they would walk them back most likely

    I weigh 265 lbs. Although I'm working on my weight, I've been a big girl my whole life. I want a mule that can ride through this type of terrain, but have been looking a draft crosses for the ability to ride and keep my equine safe. What can you tell me about this? What crosses are able to take me on? Do you recommend horses/donkeys that come from this area? Thanks.

      if you haven't already, contact TS Mules, to talk with the trainer directly. I am sure they can get you set up with the right mule. Some heavier riders who learn to ride in balance do a lot better than a lighter rider who flings their weight around. Also, a big animal is not as critical as you might think. Big farmers ride the little Icelandics with a lot of success, for instance. That is just a good drafty, gaited small breed. So a smaller, maybe 15 hh, with good bone density and conformation might be easier to find, and also to get on and off.

      MsGroovalicious . you probably want to get a draft. make sure you check out the confirmation. if you are not sure take a mule person with you. no short necks, nice straight legs, nice personality, one that wants to be around you. mules can carry a heavier rider than a horse. if you are a good rider with good balance that is a plus.
      I love mules and would love to get one but I have an Arab that can be hot. Selling her is not an option because I do not want to see her go to a bad home or auction (that is where her mom and her baby ( my horse)) came from.
      Good luck on your search

    Mules are stronger although making them to jump like that is dangerous they can brake their from legs is not necessary to do that I guess

      Mules live in rocky areas so their hooves are sculpted for doing this. They seem to be enjoying it and they're around other mules so they stay comfortable

  • @flparrotz1

    Why at 1:27 would you make this mule do this? Spinning your whip around to make the animal think you will beat it so it will jump up on the rock.......shame on you! And then if that isn't bad enough, at 1:34 you do the same even with your extra 200# on the animals back! My gosh.....No consideration for the animal whatsoever and its safety but all about showing what you can make this mule do thru FEAR!!! What comes around, does indeed go around...and the day is fast approaching and you will see why that saying was said. Good luck friend!
