Totally agree with your definition between Niche and Designer fragrances Chris, I'm stumped as to where these "new" definitions are coming from? Excellent choices as usual! 👍👍👍
Glad to see the Gucci Elixir featured, and to hear what you said about it. For me it was the best smelling Elixir from last year. Unfortunately stil not discounted enough, but that is one I would like to get, as well as Amouage's Reflection itself, for an all encompassing combo. Additional fragrances for this category of designers smelling like expensive niche could be Bentley for Men Absolute, and Zara Antique Brown.
@@ryany2882 Yes they are similar, in fact the Gucci could stand as a sort of denser/thicker flanker of Reflection. A good night-out or colder weather option, staying close to the same scent profile. I see the pair as a sort of potential signature "combo". A pricey one at that though.
iam not into designers that much but Boss Bottled elixir was shockingly good very masculine and old fashioned, same for Womo signature very good scent 100% agreed on these 2
For me Boss the scent elixir smells so interesting and so wildly different from all the others in the line that I couldn't believe it is a desiger scent, the spicy pimento with that sandalwood creates such a unique scent it's a masterpiece
Great that you mention Guilty Elixir for weddings. I thought for a while which fragrance to wear to my niece's wedding and decided on the Gucci. Most compliments I've ever received, including from staff at the venue. The hotel reception man stating 'you smell amazing can i ask you what you're wearing please'.
To me Encré Noire by Lalique is a very affordable, high quality and very different smelling fragrance. It suits me very well. My other ”niche smelling” ones are mainly Tom Fords, so hardly ”affordable”. I am wearing Oud Minerale right now. Also different in a way that suits me and ofcourse high quality, but costs more.
Def appreciate this one bruh! I luv to smell good, let’s be honest here quality of oils makes all the difference! And GGA is my favorite fragrance of all time as well how cool is that
What a really enjoyable video! Thank you so much and keep going with the fantastic reviews. For me Gucci oud Oud Intense is another great scent that is more niche, for me of course.
"I'm always trying to give you a good recommendation". Well let me just tell you that you are doing Wonderful job on that frontier. That UOMO signature was really nice to lift to this list. Been wanting to add it to my collection but some says that it has a rather synthetic, burned-sharp coffee smell. So it has been on the wishlist way too long. Any opinions about it?
Chris, If they took Le Male Elixir and made it more "niche" , I think you would end up with something like Bentley for Men Intense... Seems to fit that profile
After a few months, Im still adjusting to Golden Oud 😂 I have/had all One Millions from EDT to Elixer, and this one def stands on its own. BTW- Check out Lattafa's Natural Oud. It's pretty close interpretation of Golden Oud.
Can’t believe you have missed Toy boy from the list, the journey from the opening Pear note and Parma violets to the Rose at the end for the price you pay.
Some usual suspects in the list. Let's mention some unusual suspects, that few (if any) reviewers talk about: Alfred Dunhill Agar Wood, Caron Yatagan, CoSTUME NATIONAL Free d'Homme and Kenzo Jungle Homme and Mauboussin Homme. All are still produced and highly available. Cheers!
Just began the video, and I dont know whether you include JPG Le Male Le Parfum or not, but that smells way more expensive than it is. I think JPG offers the best bang for your bucks.
It’s very nice but I don’t think it’s going to fool anyone into thinking that it’s niche. It smells exactly like I would expect a Le Male flanker to smell like.
Golden Oud is absolutely amazing! Wow after wow when i first got my nose on that one - definitely a niche one! And i think you could call it like that because it was a limites release and directed for the middle eastern public.. LOVE IT! And i think Dior Sauvage Elixir could’ve made this list aswell! One love from Brazil, keep it up Chris! 🙌
Ombre leather is unwearable for me. Too overpowering, nobody needs to smell that strong of leather. I’ve literally never thought “you know what I need to top off this outfit? A really strong smell of a leather”
I think the distinction between designer and niche is not always clear for most, but the more you dive into niche, the more creative and complex the fragrances become. Also, the ingredients are better quality, especially from amouage their fragrances contain lots of ingredients and are clearly not for the masses. For me, this is the difference designer fragrances are good but predictable except when something like golden oud comes along BRILLIANT
Designer fragrances are shite these days none of them come close to niche apart from maybe luminous night from dolce and gabbana that one is fantastic. The best desinger fragrances were all discontinued years ago. Gucci envy, dolce and gabbana pour homme vintage ect
@kjjr3270 absolutely not 😂 I'm not saying niche are anything special these days either IFRA have pretty much killed fragrances I much prefer older stuff but come on. Amouage, creed ect are well above designers. YSL are an embarrassment now.
I’ve been using uomo signature for a few seasons now and I absolutely love it
It’s cracking!
I hear the new Boss Bottled Absolu is even better and more niche than elixir
Niche? Maybe not, it goes in a more designer-y direction and is more wearable as such. It is definitely a higher quality blend, though.
@@LordDunknah elixir is better

@raulsaavedra709 actually that one is similar to reflection man abit I don't like the bottle at all though! Whys it so bad?

Glad to hear Bottled Elixir get some props. It's my favorite of the line

that gucci guilty elixir is a slapper

BB Elixir was my best pick up this year. My winter scents are pretty much complete now
Such an interesting video as always, Chris! I would definitely and always say, Dior Homme Parfum🙌🏼.
Nice video, thank you for the indications.. What do you think about Moschino Toy boy in this list?
Err that one was awful. Yuck
Yeah good shout 👍🏻
Solid stuff, my man!
Bogart Pour Homme is my SOTD, and to me it smells way more expensive than the £20 I bought it for.
"I'm always trying to give you a good recommendation".

That UOMO signature was really nice to lift to this list.
Been wanting to add it to my collection but

So it has been on the wishlist way too long.
Any opinions about it?
Boss Bottled Elixir is Zino Davidoff/Guerlain Heritage with the "drunken uncle at Christmas in 1992" toned down, for a more modern feel
For me Encre Noire A L'Extreme is the pinnacle of cheap fragrances punching above their weight, and honourable mentions for Toy Boy and Heritage EDP.
Thank you Chris.
Bentley for Men Intense is goated
Reformulated and crap now! The performance SUX now! 😩
If you don't mind really sweet fragrances , you should try Uomo Signature...very nice, cheap and it last for everrrrrrrrrr

Love 1 Million Golden Oud. My wife doesn't like fragrances, but even she thought this was a nice one.
Mercedes club black
Would love to pick up 1 million Oud and Boss Bottled Elixir, but maybe more the Absolu
I love Gucci absolute. I now have 5 bottles ready for when it’s all gone. My Gucci Rush is now impossible to find.
Every Tj maxx here on the Us had like 4 bottles on sale of that one last time I went there .
Where do you live?

Gucci Guity Elixir is 60ml not 50. I love to wear this one.

Chris. Can I layer molecule 01 with Reflection 45 to make it project more?

Why would you write that
Because they thought it was great. Why would you write that ☝🏻
@FRAGMENTAL seems like a bot comment to me! Thats why. Don't see many grown ass men putting love hearts. But thats just me
Gucci elixir was 90 quid at Manchester airport last time I went so 34 quid saving
Free bottles from Gucci this week 🤓

SJP Stash by Sarah Jessica Parker no... honestly
You literally could have picked any Tom ford mate , they all smell niche even private blend ,
💯 Tom Ford is a glaring omission from this list. Maybe they smell so niche, people forget it’s a designer.
Ombre leather is unwearable for me. Too overpowering, nobody needs to smell that strong of leather. I’ve literally never thought “you know what I need to top off this outfit? A really strong smell of a leather”

sprayed Gucci elixir and i thought it was reflection man, sorry both are a no no no, feminine leaning for me
Gucci elixir just a reflection man clone 😅...smells 90% to me.

@John_O_Connor I'll give em a try 😂
Bro honestly toy boy is a banger it’s so unique for a designer
