Oh my, you're such good salespeople... 😍😍
The redhead actually has a pretty big pooper.
My worst on a plane was when I was trying to get some sleep and the red headed girl next to me kept moving away
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Happy belated birthday, Eric! The cat's already out of the bag on another channel. LOL Y'all got lucky with the empty seat. But you should take a page out of Kara & Nate's playbook, and book the window and aisle seats, because very few people want a middle seat. Unless the flight is very full, your chances of having the whole row increase exponentially. If someone does show up, you can always ask to switch with them so you can sit together. ;-)
On my very first flight EVER when I was 7, we were supposed to take the 8 a.m. flight, but we changed it for the 8 p.m. flight a few days before the trip. Lucky we did because the 8 a.m. flight got hijacked to CUBA!!! (This was in 1970 when there was a lot of hijacking going on.)
10:33 fav thing about BCN the lush greenery farm vistas
I really liked your comments about Newark Airport. I don't travel the real long distances these days (it sucks to get older!), but I do still fly fairly frequently. And for where I live, Newark is the best choice (as bad as it is). I know exactly where you guys were in Terminal C. I have rarely heard anyone say nice things about Newark recently, but it is nice to hear now and then. Enjoy Barcelona and your "water adventure".
Happy Birthday! When I was 13 I was traveling alone to the West Coast. I need to go to the restroom so, I pulled myself up by grabbing the seat in front of me. Not only did I grab the seat, but I also grabbed the mans hair who was in that seat. I didn't know it until he turned around and slowly rose up with this really mean look on his face. You could tell I really pulled his hair because it was sticking straight up. I can guarantee that was not his hair style. Poor man! I do have to say that when I think of that day on the plane I still laugh. The look on the mans face was something out of a movie. Love your videos!
Omg...that would be a great scene in a movie LOL😁
That airport is awesome!!!🛫
Barcelona is one of my favorite cities! The food, architecture, weather, beaches...all bomb!
Belated but Happy Birthday Eric. Also never had someone nap on me but someone did sit on my thigh when on the local train. My friend Jen said it was an awkward as he squashed me and I had to bite my tongue.
Happy Birthday Eric! I'm a new subscriber and totally addicted+binge watching! Your videos are so great, shot perfectly and really make us feel as if we're tagging along :)
Dont have worst flights stories as my hubby always graciously takes the middle seat, mwahaha, but I'd love to hear your road trip music recs! :)
Newark post-security is looking a lot better! A study shows that folks spent on average 90 minutes in a terminal with time to spend, so it's nice that airports are becoming a bit more cozy and user friendly
That descent into the airport at Barcelona is quite the ride.
I found your UA-cam channel by accident, can I just say you two are just adorable and I also like the way you are not scared of eating anything! ❤️😍
Happy birthday!! Hope your jet lag clears soon but brussel sprouts are just little tiny cabbages so counter-productive for avoiding gas. :)
A lot, if not all, airports allow food to be brought into the airport. To cut down on cost, it'd be better to start packing your flight meals.
In regards to gas, you have to have a mix of soft fiber and hard fiber. If you do too much soft fiber foods like bread and leafy greens, your bowels will be too soft to make their way down in a fast manner, which will cause you bloating and gas. You want to have a good mix of protein (meat), hardening fibers like apples. Even though leafy greens and Brussels sprouts are supposed to be hardening fiber, I find them to cause my bowels to be soft.
A trip to Barca would not be complete without a visit to La Boqueria Market on Ramblas. Sit at one of the stalls with the locals and try the food. The fish is excellent by the way washed down with a local beer...................enjoy. Love your channel by the way.
Happy Birthday Eric! Enjoy Barcelona and your sea adventure!
Happy Birthday Eric!! The Way Away let the cat out of the bag about 3 days ago. Looking forward to seeing the 4 of you on the worlds largest cruise ship!!
I'm currently planning a trip to Barcelona so I am really excited to see where you guys go.
Next time you're in EWR with a layover longer than 5 hours (and no rush hour), there is a Portuguese neighborhood on the north edge of EWR. Teixeira’s Bakery and other smaller bakeries sell authentic pasteis de nata and other goodies. There are also some small restaurants if you're craving something savory or cafes if you need a cup of bica :) BTW, a (long) 3pm nap is perfect for Spain. 5pm is still mirienda (try the postres tipicos de Catalunya like brac de gitano, cocas, or turron). Tapas hour doesn't really start until like 8p-ish and dinner for locals starts around 9p.
Ferry St. BBQ Awsome BBQ!!
My favourite thing in Spain was the aioli, most restaurants served it with nice crusty bread and you just dipped it in the aioli so yummy, it’s similar to garlic mayonnaise and that can’t be bad! My other favourite thing was churros and hot chocolate as the hot chocolate is so thick and yummy!
So jealous of you guys travelling the world. Dream job! Keep it up. I love watching your videos 😍
Casa Gracia's bar is very cool!
Happy birthday! We just went on a 12 hour flight in sardine class. This was the delux plane which means every seat was 17 and a half inches???? When i came home my husband looked at tbe side Of my thys and exactly where the the side arms would be diwn were black and blue marks. So i had a total temperary souvenir from the flight! Enjoy your next adventure!
Isn’t it 4 hours from St Louis to New Ark Liberty in NJ? I think that’s how long it took the last time I flew from JFK to Kansas City. Happy Birthday Eric 🎉
It's like 4 hours to everywhere by plane from STL Lambert. I love it
Missouri weather is so unpredictable yesterday it was 50’s today no joke is 86° like what the hexk
awesome travel video guys 👍..go some plans soon watching you guys at the airport and on the plane ..my flight is only 3 hours though ..best of luck in Spain its a fantastic place to be 👍😀
We fly out of Newark sometimes as it's often cheaper than Philadelphia. I don't think we've stayed there for an extended amount of time, but if we ever do, I'm happy to know it's not terrible.
Happy belated birthday Eric! :)
I didn't really have horrible flight experience, just a few annoying ones. Once I was seated in the lane next to the emergency exit and it seemed I would have pleasant and comfy flight, but then a huge overweight man was seated next to me and took over half of my space. Luckily, he was really kind and it was short flight from London to Ljubljana, so it could be worse. Then on a flight from Japan to Istanbul, I was seated behind spoiled German kid/teenager who kept playing with its seat way too many times during the long-haul flight. They were few other annoying experiences, but overall, I think I was quite lucky. :)
You people are hard core. Love the music, btw.
Happy Birthday Eric.... The Wayaway already gave it away.
I am so glad that you are going to Japan ! Japan is such a great and beautiful country ! enjoy and have fun there !
by the way , since you are in Spain , way not visit Portugal as well , Portugal is a place really worth visit !
You didn't want to spend more time in Newark? -You could've gone to the Museum of Muggings, or fish for cadavers in the Passaic River, or go to the shooting range near the oil refineries. Don't know why anyone ever seems to want to stay.... :-)
Happy birthday, definitely should check la boqueria in la ramblas the best food market I’ve ever been to also check out ciudad condal they do amazing tapas
Great to see you guys coming back to Europe 😀👍
Congrats on 62+k subs! You guys are doing great. 😁
Happy late birthday, Eric!! Worst jet lag? 1989, the trip back from Hawaii after 10 days there. I was 22 years old. I adjusted quickly to the the time difference in Hawaii. Trip back, left at 5 p.m. Hawaii time. I absolutely have never been able to sleep in a conveyance of any type. Four hour layover in St. Louis. Had to watch our bags because my sister fell asleep in the concourse. By the time I made it home (Georgia), I had been awake for 38 hours. And random hallucinations began at about the 30 hour mark. Have read since that jet lag is worse going east. Sorry guys!!
I really want to go to Japan!! From what I have seen and have been told it is an amazing place!! Can’t wait to see the video’s 😀
Do you guys always travel economy? If so, could you do a video on how to best create a comfortable flight when on long journeys in economy? I always dread long haul journeys in economy. I haven't got much choice though haha.
take a nap until 10 and then go out -- it's Spain!
That's true - the people have long siestas in the middle of the day and the fun only starts at 10pm ....
Especially Barcelona in Spain
I'm SO excited you guys are going to Japan!!!!
I'm always looking at what aeroplane type is on each leg of a booking... CRJ's are tiny with no real space for carry on...
Bring on the Mash-up "Endless-Way-Adventure-Away"... ;)
Happy Birthday, Eric!
Nice travels
are you guys going to go to Australia? That would be awesome. I have been to a lot of the places you have, but never Australia.
omg you guys are finally coming to japan! i hope there will be meetup!
Okay, so we are wondering how to decrease gas and discomfort... and then go for a venti iced coffee and salad... sounds like a recipe for the runs. I do the same thing, though. Can’t blame ya!
In all seriousness though, I would suggest that if you are worried about gas on the plane, then take some beano or gasx if you are going to eat any gas producing foods within 16 hours of your flight. Also, consider fasting on your travel days. You might get the runs on the day you break your fast though.
By the way, I was also pleasantly surprise by the Newark airport. It’s one of the best airports in the US!
PS One more thing, when you are in Japan, consider making a trip to Guam. Guam is expensive and difficult to get to from the states but is much easier to get to from Japan. Guam was a pleasant surprise for me. The snorkeling is incredible. Beaches are gorgeous. You will not regret it, as long as you can get a good price on a flight.
Way Away from Barcelona on a cruise ship sounds really fun
Happy belated birthday, Eric!
Brooklyn's Lager is a good one!
A very Happy Birthday :-)
Best tips for jetlag is to never let yourself think about what time it is where you last were and also Neveeeeerrrrrr lie on a bedddd you guys, haha.
happy birthday to you!!!!!
Worried about gas and farting and goes and picks up Brussels sprouts
Not to mention cauliflower ....
At least they didn't have any beans, lol!
Took the words lol hahahaha
Usually, we don't have an issue with the passengers on the plane, but once we were on way to Prague a guy next to us was so so smelly. Even other people in the plane complained. He was sitting next to us and it was a busy flight, there was no other seat to move him :((((
Happy birthday to you!!
Let me guess: on a cruise ship with The Way Away
Hi, guys! I've been subscribed to your channel for some time now, but this is my first comment. I once had an experience very similar to Allison's, but with a twist. I was in the middle seat, and there was quite a large gentleman in the aisle seat to my left, who took up some room in my seat as well, pushing me to the right -- and the passenger in the window seat happened to be extremely airsick, constantly looking out the window and then heaving into a barf bag every time. The worst part was this passenger handing her filled barf bag to the flight attendant reaching across me.
At least my daughter's memorable experience turned out a lot better, and coincidentally involved something you've recently mentioned. Her Chicago to Tokyo flight developed trouble over the Pacific, and had to make an emergency landing in Anchorage, where the passengers had to spend the "night" while the plane was being repaired -- it was just about the summer solstice, and she absolutely loved her unexpected side trip, despite having to find some sleep behind the heavy window blinds ...
Ya I sat next to this couple. They do UA-cam named the endless adventure. Jk it was awesome
Hi guys. Love your videos! What video editing software do you use?
I sat next to a gentleman from South Africa to Dubai who was no gentleman. He took up my arm rest, leaned on me while sleeping, and didn't acknowledge the flight attendants existence. I'm sure I've had other bad ones but this was the most recent. :)
I was on a 21 hour flight, and there was a man next to me, and he wasn't large, but he fell on top of me allllllll the time. And he snored like nothing you have ever heard...... it was a very long flight.
Belated happy birthday!
Very nice video
Happy birthday 😀
I’m 32 too
Let me guess: on a cruise with The Way Away?
Pssst, that's a secret!!! hehehe ;-)
They already gave it wayaway :D
The bunch of stuff coming off the trees is spring blossom.
I went to a hostel in Madrid called toc good location and the rooms were class
Whoa, Eric, do you really want to know what our worst flights were ? Oh, so many, with over 3 million miles in a lifetime.. Worst one never acturally got off the ground. United DC8 stretch (like a 757) Chicago O'Hare taxiway. Pulled up to close to a 727 rear engine plane and overheated the inboard engine on our left wing. Engine carboned up, set the wing on fire and we had to evacuate the plane on the slides. Slides on my side blew under the plane because of the high winds and were useless. I was next to the rear side exit and had to fight 10 or 20 passengers to keep them from pushing me into a burning pool of jet fuel. I slapped the first passenger behind me in the face as hard as I could and acted like a mad man to turn the crowd towards the safe side of the plane. We all escaped safely but had to run across active runways to escape the fire. Lots of adreneline.
Never worried about flying again. The odds of having to escape from a plane twice in a lifetime are incredibly low !!!l
Or maybe not ! Just 16 years later, almost to the day, same thing, same runway, I was NOT on board. American 767 catches fire on runway in 2016 and passengers had to use slides to escape.
Couldn’t help notice Casa Garcia. Just saying. Sounds like some sweet travels planned. Stay safe.
Eric and Alison, I know this video is 2 years old but I just wanted to respond with 2 pretty bad flight stories. The first was with my wife on our honeymoon to Thailand. It was a 12 hour flight with a small layover in Bahrain (as it was with Gulfair). There was an old man sitting next to me in the aisle seat, I was in the middle, my wife in the window seat who had the worst BO it was so bad I had to cover my nose with my shirt. Luckily it was only for the first 6 hours but I was so close to either saying something to him or the cabin staff. My other story was on a flight back from France a long time ago. A couple were sitting about 3 or 4 rows down from my dad and step mum and they decided to open some really smelly French cheese and start to eat like they were having a picnic in a park, it was disgusting, not only that but they had a crying baby which made the already horrible experience even more horrible! @The Endless Adventure
I say it a lot but you guys seriously deserve more subscribers considering the quality of content you put out there. I mean, i have no idea how UA-cam income works but i see some youtubers putting in like 10% of the effort you guys do and actually make a career out of it with having I've 500k + sub's/views. All this traveling must be pretty pricey and you deserve to get most of that $$$$ from the videos you make. What im trying to say is that I enjoy watching a lot, i learn a lot about the places you go , and I'm grateful you decided to video your adventures & think yiu deserve more recognition! Keep it up guys 😀👌🏼👍🏻💜
Happy birthday buddy :)
If you're worried about gas, you shouldn't be eating cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower and Brussel sprouts in which I saw you consume at the Newark food court.
You all travel as much as Nate and Kara? How come you haven't gotten hooked up to the use of VIP lounges like they have. Seems like it would make your travels much more comfortable. just wondered. Happy Birthday Eric, and many many more!
I had someone get sick into a bag when I was 10 right next to me. First flight ever.
Very Nice Video
Happy Birthday!!!
Some years ago I was travelling with my girlfriend from Kiev to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I think it was like a 15 hour flight or so. It was a bit like a charter plane, so not that much room to start with. And I had this big Russian guy sitting next to me. Friendly guy, that was not the problem, but of course as you can imagine, he was often hanging on my seat as well. Not exactly the most pleasant flight I ever had!
Come back to england pleeeeeeeeaaaaase?😁love watching you try our food!
So gald your going to Barcelona, but im gutted as well, because im going in 2 weeks
Although looking forward to the upcoming vlogs to see what I should do
Enjoy
Be sure to give Josh and Ashley a ROYAL hello...and also Jeven Dovey, if you know who he is. I'm sure the trip will be symphonic.
You guys are constantly on the move. I wonder if you ever slow down haha.
My worst jet lag is London to Toronto took me 3 days to recover
Happy late Birthday! 🎂👑🎁🌷🚍
Very nice
My worst flight, the whole way from Vancouver to Osaka had a teenage kid hurling into the plane's barf bags. Sounded disgusting and smelled horrible, impossible to ignore and no way to get any sleep. Eugh.
From Alaska to Catalonia?. Benvinguts/Wellcome. But long travel and big jet lag only for Barcelonianj mass tourism topics, I suspect: fast food tapas, ultra fresh paellas, fake Barri Gòtic Quarter, La Boqueria Market, or Gaudí only and not other Catalan Modernist style buildings.....
I recommend a visit to here Barcelona for a true and not topical celebration: La Diada de Sant Jordi o St. George Day every April 23, the Day for books and roses in Catalonia, with Barcelonian people on streets to watch and buy all two.
I was on a flight from Vietnam to Thailand and the guy next to me picked his nose the whole way there! So sick! Also the woman next row along started the doing the same, how I wasn't sick I don't know lol
Parc de la Ciutadella , Parc Guell and La Rambla I hope to see a video with the three
Worst flight....Boston, Mass to Manchester, UK. I'm pretty near the back, the row behind me only has two seats as the plane gets thinner at the back. The two people behind me (a British woman and an American guy who tells her he is a film producer and she must be a bit dense if she thinks film producers sit at the very back of planes) start hammering the free wine until there is none left and talking louder and louder. I can hear them through my headphones with ease. It's an overnight flight so totally dark. Wine takes the better of them and they start "fooling around" loudly for more than an hour. Clearly at some point he sobers up because just as they are about to join the people in the aisles he makes up some story about having dropped his sunglasses in his seat so she can go on ahead (so he doesn't have to go through customs with her i guess).
At the airport exit I saw her being picked up by her husband. I want to say there were kids waiting for her as well as it would be so much more judgemental but I can't remember.
We would be sooo disappointed if we were jet-lagged flying to Europe. Fortunately has never happened. Only coming home to Seattle. Then it's awful. Lasts for days. Have a great time!
Happy belated Birthday. I wonder how long you lasted until you passed out?
My worst experiance on a plane, a man next to me drunk all flight because he was maybe affraid of flying but when we start to land he vomit on him😣and i was only 14 years old😅 luckly there was i free seat in front and i could seat there
OMG cannot wait for Japan! The stuff they sell in vending machines will blow your minds!
Nice
Have you two ever been to Greece?
If uvever come to England, look me up, would love to show you Round and spend time with you two xx
