I’m over 70 years old. A lot of my generation didn’t make it this far. We’re rapidly getting down to where our numbers have very little effect on the whole. I can say that I reached the American Dream that I formulated as a young adult. If I want to drive a big, gas-guzzling car that floats down the road like a cloud, live in a big, oversized house that takes up a fair amount of land area and burns real wood in its fireplace, eat steak and mashed potatoes every day, take trips whenever and to wherever I want and enjoy what I consider the finer things in life that don't conform to the new perfect world; so what? Why not let me? We’re going to be gone before long anyway. Let us have the things that we worked for over a lifetime for the little time we have left, and you can have yours. Our little consumption isn’t going to make any difference to the planet anyway and soon it will be gone. To the younger generation: you have your lifetime to strive for the dreams that you have formulated, whatever they are. Good luck on that.
BEAUTIFUL, EXCEPT TAKING OFF THE DOOR HANDLES, SHOULD HAVE LEFT THEM, ALL THE REST IS AWESOME, LOVE THE COLOR. MY GOOD FRIEND HAD A BLACK 4 DOOR, IT WAS LIKE FLOATING ON A CLOUD TO RIDE IN IT, That design is timeless, truly a work of art compared to all the new cars now that were designed to look like a suppository.
Beautiful car. Can't really see the paint fade in that lighting to appreciate it, but the paint is beautiful nonetheless. No car beats a 50s-70s Mopar!
It's got my vote. The paint reminds me of a Winfield fade, and that's quite the compliment. Nice and subtle. Until you stomp on the loud pedal I guess.
I love the big 'ol boats too. I believe the original motor was a 413 putting out a little over 300hp. What does this one have in it to make it over 500?
The motor got worked over by a local machine shop, and tuned by a pro, don't know what all went into it. I do know it's a hole heck of lot faster than it was before the rebuild.
340 horse and 470 torque..with a small 595 cfm 4bbl and single exhaust it jumps to 360 hp with duel exhaust and a bigger carb.Other 413's had a 750cfm carter..Though 850's work perfect on a stock 413 & 440.. I even ran one on my stock 383 and it worked perfect and you notice a jump in performance. 500 hp isnt hard to do from one of these, basically some head work and a cam swap..
The car has been customized, in the car world we refer to it as a "custom" Not restored to original, thus the custom paint, wire wheels, shaving the door handles etc. Thanks for pointing out that wide whites came on 50's cars, super helpful.
With all due respect, this is absolutely not the “world’s nicest Imperial Custom”. It’s anything but original - engine, paint, trim, etc - and all sealed with a set of period-incorrect wide whitewalls.

Welcome to the channel brother.
The Beverly Hillbillies Mr. Drysdale always had Imperials.
Quite unique. Not the original conception, but it’s tasteful. (Does need a hood pad, but I quibble,)
That's a beautiful work of art!
💯 %

The Imperial chariot only used to transport the princess during her outings to the parks and museums within the kingdom.
GORGEOUS , I wish it still had DOOR HANDLES .

So how do you open the doors if the windows are up?
Push button on the remote, activates a solenoid, plus an emergency release under the car in case a the battery is dead.
YAYYYYYYYYYYYY
Pretty color but not on an Imperial.
The wide white wall tires didn't exist in 63 imperials, that's from the 1950s,just saying.

@@davescott9062 The wide white walls MAKE THE PAINT COLOR POP ,I LOVE THE WIDE WHITES
Those white walls have got to go.
They are too wide for me as well, the owner is a boomer, he loves it, so he rocks it.
very super witty comments
We aim to please around here.

The word in " quotes " in your comment to pay attention to is "custom"
I leave it there for you to ponder.
F..k that is nice. Cheers from New Zealand 🇳🇿
The only thing that is wrong is that it's not mine!😢
