India does not have a free trade deal with USA, si it cannot be abusing free trade. It means that Indian tariffs are set by India in the absense of any trade deal. A free trade deal means the US must also completely remove trade tariffs and restrictions on Indian goods and services.

Well harley davidson is a premium bike.only those from high income group purchase such bikes and r immune to taxes and tariffs. They buy such things because they want to own an international brand. This way its sale can't go down lovally based on tariff issue only. Average indian buyer is smart and takes his decision after through thinking . Indian bikes r very nice in quality comparatively cheaper and r getting exported everywhere.
This company could have used less costly manufacturing in india for exporting its bike abroad after the upper crust of its customer base in india got filled up. U know made in india made for the world.

I'd honestly like Trump to put this treaty in place. USA has a higher cost of manufacturing and labour, along with higher costs of transportation. If Indian companies can't compete with USA with all these disadvantages then maybe we need more innovative companies. We'd need someone who can actually allow our companies to fairly compete and innovate, and maybe Trump is the only one who can pressure Indian government into doing it.
