I heard someone mention it on the radio and looked it up. I've never heard this song in my life - but even if I had, it seems utterly unmemorable. It's like the George Michael equivalent of someone mumbling a tune to themself.

Isn’t it ironic though? He released this Christmas song 6 years before his death. During that time he must’ve dreamt his mother had come to visit him, yet he died on Christmas Day. Perhaps, it’s likely his mom had actually come for him that day.

a lot of people don't know about it especially the the new generations
2022....I'm crying and sad because so many memories are connected to GM through this song. GM remains magical and an integral part of my life. His passing affected me deeply , that such a beautiful Earth Angel chose to return home but left us with not only the most beautiful healing songs but also songs for every event in our lives . GM always triggers so many emotions for me but mostly I remember the day he passed and I was determined to pay my absolute respect at his home in Highgate. I was overwhelmed with sadness and disbelief! I needed to place my pain and tears somewhere.
I stared for long periods at the large windows and felt he was there watching the many many people who genuinely wanted to say farewell and place their sadness and pain somewhere meaningful too, but more importantly, letting GM know HOW MUCH HE MEANT TO SO MANY , Even though he may not have known the true depth.
I wasn't just a fan I was a true fan like so many many many many people around the world who connected with GM. Thank you my fellow human being for being a part of my life and for so many others.

I can't listen to this tune without crying and I'm not a George Michael but his lyrics oh wow. I was at the Freddie Mercury concert in 1992. I did not dislike George Michael but was rather indifferent to him. However, among all the artists who performed that day, George Michael was far and away the best singer. Utterly superb. I have since bought a lot of his material. To me, 1990's 'Listen Without Prejudice' is a masterpiece. He seemed like a lovely man.
