the reality of lost phone apps is so sad, with most "lost" media there's still a chance of a physical copy found in some basement, attic, storage unit or closet surfacing but how does one rediscover a lost item that only existed in an ephemeral digital marketplace on devices that are the epitome of planned obsolecense? tragic.

You forgot about flappybird as well as this one autotune app that was out back in late 2009 to early 2012. Basically the latter was an app where you rap, sing or talk and it'll autotune it over a beat. It was promoted on an older annoying orange video from early 2010.
Flappybird isn't lost though. You can find it easily online still.

Imma a put in a honorable mention of sorts. There used to be this game made by Halfbrick Studios (the guys behind jetpack joyride, fruit ninja, etc,) called Band Stars. Where you make music and you had to pu together the right pieces and genre to make a #1 hit. It was my favorite game 2015 but sadly I broke my kindle that I played it on and wasn't able to play it anymore. I tried to search it up a couple years ago but I couldn't find it. Turns out they took it out for unknown reasons iirc sometime in 2016-18.
There was another halfbrick studio game about some fish in the ocean where you try to jump over the ocean or something like that

i always have this vivid memory from 2007 about this one app that was controversial called "baby shaker" where you.... shake babies. seemed to be a small controversy though because the app was quickly taken down and never talked about again. there is one video of the report i've seen but that's about it. not sure why this random app controversy still comes to my mind at times
Hearing you mention Jurassic Park Builder brought back a wave of nostalgia. I remember spending hours playing it on my Kindle Fire and begging my dad to buy me some of the stupid micro transactions so I could make my park better.
Me too and I understand I had always played it but then it sadly shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic

Damn, I actually HAVE Interactive Buddy 2 on an ancient iPad, one of the few paid apps I bothered getting back in the day, had no idea it was lost.
Sadly I stopped using the iPad because it slowed down to such terrible performance over the years that getting past the lock screen after boot sometimes took up to 30 minutes.
My iPad was never jailbroken or anything like that, so while I'd love to preserve this media, I think it's trapped on there for now.
Ive heard sometimes you can acess your iphone/ipad's files through a mac computer, not entirely sure though.

Speaking of the Ludia company, they also removed another app which was also part of my childhood known as Planet Fish. That game just had such a unique mechanic and I still miss it to this day

I was a huge fan of the Future is Wild doc but I had no idea there was a mobile game about it. Especially since it was supposed to come out in 2015, years later from other media and 13 years after the original doc aired.
Jurassic Park builder is so nostalgic to me. It was the only Jurassic park game at the time since it had been years since a new game was made for the franchise. Really cool that people are bringing it back from the dead!

I use to use Zoobe All the time back in 2015 and were really hilarious. Even one of ny twin sister’s videos I semi collaborated from the same year with has a short clip of Slimer from Ghostbusters, recorded from Zoobe.
Does anyone remember kawaii pet megu? It was a kawaii type game and you raise a little pet. When you charge your phone and play it would cause the pet to evolve! I used to play it so much, and it randomly went offline one day and never heard about it again. Even had merch and stuff.

There was this game I loved to play on my iPod back in the day. It was called something along the lines of Zombie Parkour or Zombie Park out I'm not sure. It disappeared from the Appstore maybe around 2014.
It had a really fun mechanics and there was hidden lore hinting to a sequel. I'm not sure what happened to it or the devs :(

i remember this one game when I was 3-4 y/o from 2010-2012 (it could've been older but that's when i played it) about those blue scrubbing bubble thingys. It was kinda similar to the sense of talking tom as in, you push a button and it does stuff, but thats it. More sandbox-ish. I tried to look it up but couldn't find a single thing about it, one of my favorite games as a little kid

I remember the App Store having Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. It was up until Disney bought Marvel. I still have it on an old iphone, but it’s sadly forever dead due to the charger port no longer working

I remember Qubi and the Ads for it but I remember something when I was younger. (There was a game that let’s you play as a male/female astronaut who saves people from flooding by a evil fish king and the ways of getting these peoples is by using blocks kinda like Minecraft since you can build houses and other structures. Anyways the survivors are the goal to make sure they are safe in space away from the flooding planet.) Idk why it was brought up but I was wondering what the name of the game was called.

Does anyone remember Battle Monkeys? It was this awesome app you could get on computers and phones where 4 monkeys would be placed on a board, and each plate of the board does something that can help you attack the other monkeys, your goal was too kill all the other Monkey's until you're the last one standing
Interactive buddy 2 was my childhood.
I believe zoobe stopped the servers is because of a certain kinky scene (that shows the pig character getting spanked by a machine whilst having a ball gag in his mouth in the background) not only that but the bunny was just made so foul-mouthed by the community

I don't know if anyone remembers Cause of Death: Can You Catch the Killer, but I have no idea where that series went. If I remember correctly, it was a 6 game series that followed the two main characters catching different killers in a choose your own adventure style. It was developed by EA in the late 2000s, but one day just quietly left the app store without a trace.
There is no game based on "The Future is Wild". It's a fan mockup of a sequel to "Evo: Search for Eden".
I looked up that Wii U game and I’m pretty sure it’s made up. There’s only one google result for it and it looks like a host for someone’s fan concept.

My old iPad still have the app but it doesn’t really work which it says “error” when I open it since it got deleted so it essentially just shell of it former self as all I can use for it is looking at the app icon for nostalgia.
