I LOVE how this piece came together! The "gross" starfish came out really pretty once you applied the white details. The rainbow sea urchin looks like a skein of yarn I'd totally get. The lovely colors you chose for all the clams, and the shadow pops! That was a good choice. Especially the sharp short lines at the very end.
The shadow is everything! It really makes everything pop!! I would have never thought that adding a simple element would change a composition so much! Your 'gross' starfish turned out beautiful too. You have a great eye for color!!

Beautiful choice of color palette! I love the blues with the burnt sienna! And Moonglow.... perfect with the Potter's Pink as Moonglow spreads, granulates and has tints of pink and purple in it. The gold circles were a beautiful, striking contrast and the shadows were the perfect touch!

Your shells turned out amazing, but I like anything related to the sea and shore. I just happen to have Potter's Pink by W/N, because it works well for painting old buildings/stucco. It's an obscure color, and for those who don't have it on hand I believe by mixing some shell pink or a touch of a light rose color with Buff Titanium may be able to duplicate Potter's Pink. I can't wait to try and paint these beautiful shells!
