This is why I use the headphone out and a seperate IR loader. But I have it going through the Digitech Trio+ for the backing track/looper. It’s a whole lotta fun, I really hope they come out with a newer version some time.
@@Chucksguitargeekery hi. Thanks. I have the trio+. Would be interesting to see how you connected all that equipment. Btw: this month xsonic will update the ulooper. Than you have fx loop with the mk50!
Interesting, the trio+ has pretty much negated any other looper for me, it’s more fun with a “full band.” But the way have it set up (took me a while to figure this out), is guitar going into the input-> effects loop send to the amp-> amp headphone out to the M-Vave IR Box -> effects return on the Trio+ -> headphone out to recording. This way I can “train” the trio+ with unaffected signal, different loops can have different tones, and the drums sound best on the headphone out. The tricky part is there is a “cab sim” on the headphone out you can’t turn off, but it really is just an EQ curve. The IR box has a good parametric EQ, so I boost around 5k, high pass around 6-7k, boost a little around 2k, cut around 500-700hz, and low pass around 100hz. That pretty much counteracts the trio+ “cab sim” and I can use any IR I want, and have the better drum sound.
Are they gonna make it so you can share your presets with other people. Like some kind of internal discord or something
Does the Airstep works for the gen3?
What kind of looper are you using. Since the 50mk2 has no fx loop/send-return

@@Chucksguitargeekery sounds very complicated. I wait until the ulooper gets the katana update. Thabn i will try to combine it with the trio 👍
