Hi where i can find the noise suppressor? using adroid phone because its anoying everytime i use a high gain thats why i need to remove the buzzing sound.
On the left side of the app, if you scroll down you'll see "noise gate" in the FX section and then you can turn it on and/or adjust it by pressing the arrow to the right of the switch.
I don't know why I said FX section. It's in the section below Chain. the same section as the Pedal FX and EQs.
@@Guitarnivore thank you
@@welsmit17 Any time.
nice 😍😍
How do you connect it to your Katana?
With a usb and On The Go USB adapter. Search "OTG Cable" on amazon and then find one that fits your tablet, whether it's micro-USB or USB-C. They aren't expensive.
I'm planning to replace the sound of the boost in orange light of my Katana 50mk2 maybe replace it to a fuzz. Can you also do that in Katana Librarian? And can you also update the firmware of the amp using the app?
Yes, you can change the orange to a fuzz, but it'll be for a specific patch. If you want to save it to the panel, you can do it via that as well. The firmware may be Ricky and better to do via a PC. I'm not sure if you can even do it.
@@Guitarnivore Thanks for the reply sir. I'm just waiting for my usb type b and otg to be delivered. I'm also planning to replace the brown sound in variation mode of my amp because I don't like the sound of it too. I'm planning to replace it with a boogie rectifier sound. Can you also do that in Librarian?
@@neilv6077 you can't replace the amps. There is a Mesa Boogie patch out there though.
How do I connect my amp to my phone? I have yhe MKII 50
I explain it all at 1:56 .
@@Guitarnivore Thx, but where on my amp do I plug it in.
You plug a regular USB cable into the USB port on the back of the amp and the end plugs into the adapter that plugs into your phone or tablet.
Can I import a full folder that have many TSL files in? instead of importing one by one.
Not that I'm aware of.
Can you save what you edit back to your katana from this? Ive got a mk2 100 on the way and i really dont want to buy a computer just for my amp lol. Thanks
Yes. It writes them to the amp.
@@Guitarnivore awesome. I imagine it can also set then to the physical footswitch as well? This video helped me a lot. Appreciate it.
@@FatSoundStudio It writes it to the amp bank/channel and the footswitch simply selects the channel. When using the footswitch while using the app, you can see it change within the app when changing banks or channels.
Does it work on MK1??
A lot guys says that they cannot load the files on Mk1 or maybe it will work only in MK2
It's supposed to work on Mk1. Perhaps they aren't loading them correctly, I'm not sure.
Where can I download patches?
There are several places. Boss Tone Exchange .com, guitarpatches.com and there are a bunch of Facebook groups where people upload patches.
Does anybody know if this Librarian app has Bass patches for katana bass? Thanks.
The librarian itself doesn't really come with patches. Patches can be found on various sites. However, I'm not sure about the availability of bass patches at the moment or if the librarian is compatible with the katana bass amp.
Nice overview... a bit rushed... would be good to do several examples.
Examples of what exactly? I showed how to download and import patches around the 8:06 mark. The software I was using at the time to cast my tablet onto the screen only allowed 10 minute videos at a time and there is a lot to take in in this app.
Strange... I have an OTG adapter and cable and it's connected to the amp but Katana Librarian keeps telling me that the Amp is not connected. Wtf? Definitely not detecting / loading automatically. The OTG works in other devices. (EDIT) It works when I connect it to a Samsung mobile but not when I use a ViVo. Arghhhhh I knew buying a digital amp was going to give me a headache. lol
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Librarian app?
@@Guitarnivore Yep tried that... still a no go. If you or anybody else has any other ideas I'll try em... but for now it seems to work on a spare mobile phone I had lying around as well as my misses samsung so at least I now have it working haha. Damn Vivo phone... something is up with it... adjusting permissions etc didn't help either. Oh well :)
@@KaddysJamKave Bummer. Might be something with the VIvo OS. As I understand it's Android, but it's their own version. That might be the problem.
I have the exact same problem with my Huawei Honor 10 running with Android version 10!
The Katana librarian App currently supports the KATANA AIR NOT!😜 Please fix it.
*The katana librarian app supports the following Katana Amps:
Katana-50, Katana-50 MkII
Katana-100, Katana-100MkII
Katana-100/212, Katana-100/212 MkII
Katana-Head, Katana-Head MkII
Katana- Artist, Katana - Artist MkII
I love the whole concept of modeling amps and have and have had many of them but it's gotten a bit insane how crazy it seems that we jump through all these hoops and spend endless $ in order to mimic our favorite tube amps & effects
But now it would likely cost only a fraction of those $s to get a really great tube amp and some effects to have the real deal and save yourself the headache of interfacing your life away in order to play your damn guitar
Not to mention by the time you finally do get things right with your sounds in the amp (if your lucky)
The software will be abandoned or no longer supported or your amps become bricked or has blown a gasket somewhere in it's unfixable printed circuitry
