Any harshness in person ? I tried GFS 10 years ago and found it was pretty wide spread amongst their p ups w the exception of the big magnet Tele neck.

Did you notice two kind of different layers in the mode where the switch is up? Mine has a cleaner layer that gets dirtier with more gain and then it has this fuzzy almost fizzy layer that basically stays the same. I agree that it’s better with an amp that has some dirt.

I also use the Mooer pedals .I use the Radar on setting #27 and then a US Gold Preamp Pedal I keep on the blue channel running through the effects loop. Its really make your tone so much better also being in conjunction with an EQ pedal to take out any bad frequencies. I use the TONEX going to my amps return with other pedals and I have to say. Some captures people do sound like shit. But then you have thousands of others who are just nailing great captures and they sound just like the real amps. I've not used the Tonex by itself, but incorporated it into my rig is the way I use pretty much everything anyway, for the past 39 years. Its a great unit!

You want a logarithmic pot AKA an audio pot (A250k A500k) for the smooth volume sweep. Despite being called a linear pot (B250K B500k), the RATIO of resistance is logarithmic (in reverse) so it ends up sounding like an on\off switch. So a logarithmic pot actually corrects for that canceling it out being the inverse log to sound linear. Makes it confusing cause it sounds like you're getting the opposite lol

It is simply another Mooer pedal that like 31 other brands are re-branded. In all probability it is the Mooer Green Mile. I suspect the fiery or in the Mooers case the hot mode turns it into the Boss Tube Screamer, better known as a Boss SD-1 Overdrive. With a soldering iron and 15 minutes of your time the Boss can be turned into a Ibanez ts9.

What kind of looper are you using. Since the 50mk2 has no fx loop/send-return

Interesting video with zero scientific information. Too many variables using a person playing a stringed instrument and different cabinets. It only takes minutes to swap speakers. A better way to do this would be with a tone generator and recording at multiple levels and frequency. I go away with no new information. Sorry to sound like Data. lol But fun video.

Pair either of these with an sd1 and your in a Time Machine to 1987 my friend… sd1, ds1 and a rat are all on my board. I had both of these for so long and was ehhh about them till I got the sd1. The rat is on 90% of the time, it’s just magic when you get sd1. The ds1 is magic fully cranked with the sd1 for a lead tone and mwah a chefs kiss of 80’s lead tone. I won’t leave the house without all 3. Great demo!

Peavey is a good amp if you get a goid one. They used to have spotty quality control. I think they are alot better now.
