    I worked for Jay Z's publicist in 2007 and I was a production assistant in 2009 and Jay was my first client. I worked for Jay Z in 2010 but didn't last long because I was too outspoken about the treatment of employees. I was fired within 4 months. For those blaming her, please know many of us have tried to speak out but the press and police think we're nothing more than hired help. The police won't take anyone's claims seriously unless it's documented and these men have paid off law enforcement MANY times! Diddy was pointed out by the woman he shot in the nightclub and told the courts Shyne didn't do it... and Diddy still walked! So what exactly is it that you expect her to do? Most of you have never been around these people and don't know shit.

      It sounds like you did the right thing. ❤ Unfortunately, it cost you your job. But at least you can rest better knowing that you lost that job by standing on principle. You are right. Many of us have no idea what that is like because you could become a victim trying to get involved, but silence is still worse. You may have sparked bravery in someone you worked with to stand up after you left, you never know. I do hope the universe rewarded your bravery and those who spoke up as you did.

      Sorry, I think that any decent man or woman would step up. That is not worth the job in that industry. Save the day and then peace out. There is no excuse for not doing the right thing when it comes to this poor young girl being beat by ascum of the Earth man.

    • @WokeOne75
      @WokeOne75 28 днів тому +12

      I think issue some of us have in regards to all of the people that knew and stayed silent is that they STAYED AROUND!!!! If I was working for someone who procved themselves to be extremely violent and abusive, that would be the day i had to let the job go. But what we hear are peopel that knew what was going on and still worked for or with Puffy. As the one employee that he beat to a pulp and had to pay off police to not report, Capricorn, she said, " You have to be willing to walk away from the money". Seems to me that many of these people that are now coming out to speak about what they witnessed stayed around for the money, the fame, the access and proximity to celebrity. I can see why it took Cassie so long to leave, but for these others that were on Diddy's payroll in some manner, what is their excuse? Sure its scary, but that's why you remove yourslf from the situation. But to stay for the parties, the get togethers, the events, the music.....knowing that this man is evil is weird.

To stay around stars because its your career is ridiculous - This is how abusers get away with it. Make an anonymous phone call.

    The interview was difficult to watch - recounting traumatic situations, attempting to protect one's own self and respect other's feelings about it while simultaneously feeling somewhat accountable for whatever one did or did not do is a lot. The reasons for staying in an abusive relationship are too numerous to get into but fear is a major aspect of getting free. Women are in far more danger when they leave than if they stay, particularly if the offender is wealthy, powerful and able to reach out & touch you at any time. There is no adequate protection or preventive measures from "the system". It comes into play AFTER something has happened.
    Hearing Mylah Morales say, more than once, she didn't understand him beating a beautiful woman was distressing! Would it be less of an issue or even OK if he was beating women that aren't labeled beautiful (inside or out)? I'm pretty sure that's not what she actually meant. However, anyone can be a victim/survivor of interpersonal violence. In future interviews, Don Lemon, if you're going to be discussing this type of violence, please consult appropriate resources because there are many varied layers and connections, a lot to understand. Peace...

    I’m a victim of abuse, women go back because their self esteem is gone, they are to embarrassed to tell others they are being abused because they believe it’s their fault, and because a women loves deeply it take a lot to strip that love but it does erode over time hopefully before a catastrophic event, but if this woman heard her friend being beat why didn’t she call the police, why didn’t she step in!

    She doesn't want to freely speak, she should just not do interviews. Since you took the stance that it was none of your business, you have no reason now to hold back and now would be the time to speak up for the victim or victims and you still are selective on what you say regarding this man. Smh. Now we can see why everything he did was given a blind eye to, because of people like her.

      She was not her friend she was a makeup artist paid by Diddy. She's the staff you can't do shit in that position against a rich and famous man. Plus Cassie always returned with him and I don't blame her she was his prisoner with her music contracts but people won't lose their job when they know it won't change a thing. I witnessed DV in my own family with my aunt and wanted to call the cops but she never let me. All I could do was to protect her when I was with her but that's all. Humans are complicated.
