Monique - Ask ur son to forgive you, what you have done to ur son is absolutely WRONG!!! You kept talking about Oprah and Tyler for this long because they hurt ur feelings, what about ur son feelings? The fact that you responded to ur son on media by itself makes it easy to see ur son’s point. He was responding to u but u let his step-dad respond- come on, that is just wrong!!!

    • @beewoke
      @beewoke 8 місяців тому +2

@Ninasee19. @@StephanieBorder-r2g. Monique is narcissistic and manipulative. She’s looking to friends to resolve her conflictS⁉️ The very fact that she tries to make a 14 year old issue a test of friendship tells you everything you need to know. She needs to move on. No one needs relationship ‘advice’ from her. That was a backhanded swipe at Oprah. Not every woman wants a daddy for a spouse and THAT should be respected. But what should inform us about her character more than anything is the public way she and her enabler Daddy mistreated her son. That’s the relationship she should be trying to fix. And, calling grown folks baby is a put down, a way of softening her harsh, hostile tone🛑
I wish you well Don🤗❤️. Thank you for doing what you do🙌. Protect your energy. These social media screets can be draining.

May be a lonely road for her, but it’s the road she herself, chose. And that’s the core accountability issue I think Monique struggles with. In her mind she believed that because she was justified, after declining to promote Precious for free at Cannes, momma believed that things were automatically going to go back to business as usual for her career wise.
I can’t for the life of me figure out why the hell neither Tyler nor Oprah offered to compensate her just for the sake of promoting the movie, but her refusal to promote embarrassed both Monique and Tyler. And that’s why they made her pay.
People don’t seem to understand that justification doesn’t absolve one of inherent responsibility. We all know it’s the principle with Monique. You won an Oscar and so just like everyone else who won one before you, you were obligated to the exact same expectations & respectability politics and everyone else, even if that meant you temporarily had to work for free. Just because you’re right when you piss off other people it doesn’t guarantee that there won’t still be consequences waiting for you. 🙋🏾‍♂️My $.02

    Mo’Nique= Respect 👏
As a child protection social worker of 18 years who was raised in foster care for 18 years I can tell you first hand that Monique’s portrayal of Precious’ mother was a gift from the goddess’s.
Other than this role I don’t know any of her work, but I can tell you that the honesty and passion with which she talks is a conviction from the soul.
She is real and she is raw and her crime is that whilst those sisters and brothers who sold her out also lost something of themselves along their journey to being,Mo’Nique clearly refuses to - for the sake of posterity.
Bless her and her hubby. An entertainer of the highest calibre 🙏.

It takes people like Mo'nique to kindle a conversation that will break any stereotype and culture that’s been prevailing and flourishing for years. The struggle continues, the feminist movement is not done yet. Ill treatment of women in this industry has to come to a stop, and Mo'nique is fantastic and needs our support especially men.

The misconception is that it's one sided. It's not. What can be said about the other side can be said about this side. We've gotten support as well as mistreatment from the other side and the same can be said amongst the group itself. We ignore and overlook people when we paint them all with the same brush and that is what keeps the pot stirring. Some people do right by you and some do wrong to you and they can be from either/or.

@da1kid101 I did watch the whole interview, his weak commitment to calling them in no way addresses the question she asked him earlier on how he could not hold his friends accountable, how he could still be friends with people who acted by throwing people under the bus, and how he or anyone else, could not openly call then out for lying on her after admiting they were wrong. He's not new to what's been happening to her, and it wasn't his first time hearing those Tyler tapes, again, him saying that he's going to call them is in my opinion, him still completely avoiding accountability.

You don't know what you are talking about. In the film industry, actors get all their expenses paid so they are not out of pocket for anything, but they don't get a salary for promoting the project. Oprah, Tyler, Lee, Whoopi, Will Smith, The Rock, and countless others tried to tell Mo this, but she refused to listen. That was her choice to make...but 15 years later she is still whining about the consequences of, essentially, trying to extort money from Oprah, Tyler, and Lionsgate. She was the star of the film and figured they would cave to her demands. We see what happened.

She needs to look within. Who do we know who’s had this many public beefs⁉️She gives angry, argumentative, unreasonable and, yes, difficult to work with. She slings racist and other nasty insults. I wouldn’t dignify her claims with a response.

@@robertbrown7051 YET Monique's insistance got Lee Daniels to PUBLICLY APOLOGIZE to her plus work with her and produce a successful movie. Not my type of genre but there were good reviews.
Some people like Mo and Sydney realize life is about holding on to your principles NOT about taking the easy road.
They need to be like Katt and create their own productions.... Unfortunately they don't seem to know HOW to create their own lane. For me this goes back to when she lost her show on BET

Monique is very talented, but I’m sorry, all I see is a woman who creates conflicts when she doesn’t get the answer she wants. And she goes out of her way to make It public. She has made a brand out of all
These beefs. That’s what she is now, a beef brand.

I've heard Monique and Sydney give their accounts several times from Shannon Sharpe to their own podcast. This was the FIRST TIME I ACTUALLY HEARD AND UNDERSTOOD THEIR PERSPECTIVE. from a very human and humble perspective. That's Don Lemon's work. Monique and Sydney are relaxed with him. Love how he asks questions. Good job Don!

Why should she have to get over it? Why are black people always supposed to get over it and let horrible shit go!?! They fucked in her career. That is insane. These powerful people lied on her and it cost her money and jobs….wtf.

I really like the straight out unapologetic honesty that comes from Monique. Some people just can't handle the truth or facts. However for the people who can, isn't it so refreshing.🙌🏼💞. I hate phony anything.
