I've traveled for a good portion of my life living in different places, and countries (from the US). Having been in Thailand for 13 years, ups and downs is a good way to describe it. It can be stressful, but also extremely easy, depending upon the direction you take and how you manage the issues. The stresses come from two primary parts A. Relationships. B. Ordinary experiences, such as 'getting a haircut'. Best advice I can give (in short form). 1. Have higher expectations for the women in which you meet than you would at home, and don't sleep around. If you allow those temptations, you'll suffer the same consequences as you would and should expect. 2. Don't "expect" anything. You'll notice the standard operational procedures to be... opposite of what you'd expect. This is in part the way it works. Don't fight it, just learn to live with it. Don't be confrontational. It doesn't work. Thailand is all over the place, and kinda crazy, but the vast majority of people have good intentions, it just doesn't work the same. Don't try to change it, just go with the flow and you'll find your way. Meet people normally. Stay off the websites. Thailand is a good place to live once you let go of your preconceived notions of how you think it should be and allow it to be what it is.

@@Jam.thebam that’s true but there’s a certain type of bad person that goes to Thailand because it’s easier to get away with said bad thing. Hence my original point of people who go there need to be viewed with mild suspicion. It’s like a person moving into a crack den but saying they don’t do crack to sort out their life. Yeah the rent is cheap but…we all know what goes on there
Don’t be silly. It’s a beautiful country, it’s cheap, the weather is amazing, the food is mouthwatering , great nightlife, amazing beaches and most importantly, the people are friendly. Why not go there? You have an uneducated view of the world. You really need to spend some time travelling instead of sitting in front of your tv.
