New Motorcycle Day is the best.
HD has been having a lot of Electrical /Electronic problems with the Pan American.
HD is garbageeeeeeeeeeeee and expensiveeeeeeeeeeeee, Africa twin the real deal forever
It would be interesting to have a hidden microphone while talking to those finance people at the dealership. This way the public gets informed about how much it actually cost to take one off the showroom floor.

I agree with you, they pop chrome acorn nuts or bolts on black when it would be just as simple to go with black.

Those Pam Am s are scary as they are! Can’t imagine Zipper’s mods! Question: why can’t HD put suspension on their baggers as good as what’s on that bike?
I have Harley and Indian but these bikes keep getting too expensive. Its definitely a exclusive club now. Going to keep my old bikes.

happy trails - where is this dealer ? I visited the Chattanooga HD dealer 3 weeks ago - that dealer had a huge selection of motorcycles . enjoy all that tech - safety equipment . ~ JDS/CT

I always walk out with nothing after full intentions. The nerve these dealers have in my state is unreal. $1700 set up fee on top of msrp really for what? What Harley dealer actually deals can somebody recommend one?
bike is to big and HEAVY for any type of dirt/gravel ect BUT looks good for asphalt. I've owned Harleys all my life and i think they are going down hill fast! The mystic is over sad to say, congrats on your purchase, see you on the trans America trail

There’s a difference in feel between the front brake lever, and the clutch lever is because people today , to put mildly, , cannot remember which lever is for which action.
love HDs but that black on black BMW GS is pretty darn goodlookin for an ADV bike
Absolutely incredible bike with so much power and innovation. What a tough choice when shopping at the Harley store, so many beautiful bikes. Congratulations!
If you need to finance a harley, never go with their financing. It is horrible. Walked in with an 800 score on both credit bureaus left with a crazy high rate. Called my credit union and got half the int rate, and slid the HD loan to the credit union.

The automatic ride height adjustment has had several issues in the 2020-2021 models. Hopefully they worked out the kinks.
Considering they are the first to come out with it, I think that's to be expected.

I thought I would buy a Road King, Loved the Road King, especially the Classic. Then......I road an Indian Springfield and the bloom was off the rose. Seriously, I still like RKs but the difference in the ride between the two for me was dramatic and totally change my mind. A couple years later, the Springfield's Thunderstoke 111 with Stage 2s and TABs pulls like a bull. For me, it's the perfect big cruiser.
That’s true it has a lot of technical innovations. I do hope those filter down to the HD lineup.

Good luck with it, but H-D still has to work on the Gremlins of this platform/Engine. It's still too new IMO, perhaps another year or two to let this engine develop and prove it' reliability.

I am gonna say this. Harley Davidson needs to put the Pan America engine in a touring model asap. I think the Heritage classic would be a good start for the Revolution Max platform. There is more to an HD than a paint job.
Right now in its current configuration it's not practical... it makes the horsepower and torque way too high in the RPM Ranger... the dyno test that we've done revealed the detuned version makes 115 horsepower and 82 ft lb of torque however it makes the horsepower at 9200 RPMs... it is our guess for those of us that work at the motor company that we will see these into remodels eventually but it will be probably a turbocharged option

I was kind of interested in the beginning as to which Harley dealership you went to. But once I realize that you were in Elkton and I got a good look at the dealership, I figured out it was Baltimore HD.

We have several panamericanas at our dealership and we actually did a lowering kit on one to drop it the Adaptive ride height still works

I've heard a lot about Pan AM buyers having to bring their bikes in for software updates and other software issues......not for me but I wish this young man good luck.
If your talking about the clutch feel they have cable and hydraulic and the hydraulic clutch has a harder pull and the friction zone is harder to find

I think those to which you're referring were the new Fat Boys. I really like them, too! I thought I was going to end up with one, but instead found a used 2007 Black-Cherry DELUXE in beautiful condition ($7K OTD)

What are you thinking... A traditional Harley sound? Never going to happen without a traditional Harley engine.
Good platform, but the spokes on the outside of the rim are exposed to rocks etc when off roading. Do they make one with cast rims, or more central spokes? Have fun riding the “dirt glide”, it’s nice to see Harley going into different markets.

You can adjust the clutch and brake levers if you look on top of the levers there are adjustments 1 to 5 I think

So you know the texture on is the clutch and smooth is the brake so when your riding you don’t use the wrong one
I think the Pan, America and all other motorcycles that Harley-Davidson puts this 1250 engine into are going to revolutionize and change the motorcycle industry. I think there's a lot of potential with this engine. I also like that green color on this Pan America.
I agree it’s really a very efficient and powerful design. Of course I was huge fan of the V-Rod engine too. I’m ok with the M8 but the epa has really made Harley tame that motor. Thank goodness we can mod it and get it straightened out.
On the Hoka hey Motorcycle Challenge we rode 10,000 in 16 days and 11 of the 12 guys out of 180 challengers broke down because they still have a lot of bugs to work out!!! I have NOT reached the end of your video.

One is textured, the clutch bc you don't want to slip it during off-road. The brake lever can be used while using throttle at same time hence no texture. Imo

the pan american may be a mistake for a 5-8 slim guy. To get on a taller bike, step on the peg and then lift your leg over.

I thought the same thing about my Road King special's turn signals. I've looked at removing them but the Custom Dynamics website doesn't list those lights for it but you think they would work?
