Not that it's that hard to decipher, but I wonder how many first-time Sonic players will guess that Metal Sonic from the base game and Metal Overlord over here are supposed to be the exact same person.
@@MrTragedious986 Loool nah he doesn’t sound like him at all, but it is a funny coincidence that when you up-pitch the voice it kinda sounds Eggman-y yeah
This fight is the one I'm most hyped to try out Sonic heroes was my first Sonic game so Metal overlord has a huge place in my heart as one of the baddest coolest villains ever! LOVE his Dragon/Sea Monster design! Coupled with the dark stormy waters environment and its a perfect final boss! And seeing my boy shadow take him down one-on-one is just beyond epic 💪
Adding to his sea monster design, in Japanese Metal Overlord quotes a line about Leviathan from the Bible in Heroes. Metal Overlord: I am the one who looks down on all that is proud. The king of all things reigning over proud beasts.
@@shiroutheherotraceon3313oh man that is beyond epic thank you for that piece of trivia. I'm actually planning on playing it in Japanese to see how the voices contrasts with English so that's cool to know. Metal Sonic always did have a very well-articulated vocabulary especially in this monster form 😂
Wait so, Shadow has now canonically defeated Metal Overlord, Devil Doom, NEO Devil Doom, Mephiles, etc - all without Super Form and one after the other in a Gauntlet? Fuck me.
There is a question going inside my mind if Metal Sonic was destroyed by Classic Sonic in the original Generations how is he here in Shadow's Story as Metal Overlord then ????
Its a game about time travel where the character finds himself from the past, stop asking how a creature can survive in two different time periods after being killed.
Time distortion. This boss battle, like the others, was created by captured specific moments in time. Making Sonic and Shadow relive those boss battles.
Ignoring Time eater's actions in this game. Eggman literally just rebuilts Metal Sonic and saves his CPU,with his memories, personality and everything prior to his death. And upgrades him to be stronger
I don't really like Metal Overlord's voice in this. It sounds campy and cartoony making it hard to take him seriously. The original voice fit the artificial aspect about him better.
@Vile_6800 The files of the game were leaked before all this footage came out, which contained text for all of the characters in the game (both new and old). For example, Orbot and Cubot appear as NPCs in Shadow's campaign, so they have names in the files. Bosses like Metal Overlord and Black Doom do too, but there is no text for Infinite. Truthfully, I was pretty surprised Sonic Team didn't make Infinite a boss. Not my favorite character or anything, but I figured they'd want to bring him back as a fight
My guess is they didn't put him because according to canon, Infinite should be stronger than everyone in the game(except time eater) at that point in the timeline, so Shadow would lose if he fought him. I really think they should at least put him as a future dlc though, a bonus non canon boss fight, sunset heights is in the game after all, maybe even including a Super Shadow boss fight with Knight since Chaos Island is also in the game.
If you got the Digital Deluxe edition, you can play it early. Plus, some physical copies are being found at stores, so people have their hands on it early.

Oh so people were wrong, that isn't Mike Pollock voicing Metal Overlord, it's actually Ray Chase. He's even in the credits.
Dang he sounds kinda like Mike.

@@TheCoolguymanly yeah but man I was fooled. It was Artorius from Tales of Berseria voicing Metal Overlord.
@@MrTragedious986
Metal Sonic *like Artorius* : Why do birds fly?
Shadow: According to instinct. Now fuck off.
And think Robbie Daymond voices Mephilis and not Roger Craig Smith.

Shadow solo fight with Metal Overlord truly awesome
When shadow said don’t make me laugh he said that in the sonic boom game rise of lyric
Can you show off the hub world and collection room?
Wait so, Shadow has now canonically defeated Metal Overlord, Devil Doom, NEO Devil Doom, Mephiles, etc - all without Super Form and one after the other in a Gauntlet?
Fuck me.
Yea same goes with Sonic beating Perfect Chaos in base form
Doom Powers are a Hell of a Drug. That an addition to Shadow getting stronger throughout the games like how Sonic can beat Perfect Chaos by Boosting.
There’s a reason why they are called Metal Sonic and Shadow the Hedgehog respectively.
I am now the true sonic! The true Ultimate Life Form!

how long us the shadow campaign would you say
