every band has a secret weapon, and Pentangle's was Terry Cox. such an underappreciated percussionist and vocalist.

Absolutely. Tricky to play drums with this type of music.

I think every 'great' band has a secret weapon but it's unusual indeed when every member adds virtuosity like what's happening here 🔥☯️🔥

It’s hard to believe the incredible wealth of talent the 5 members of Pentangle possessed. Not too many other bands could claim that, or even come close!

Bert’s always slightly uncomfortable when talking but couldn’t be more relaxed If he tried when he’s playing. What a bloke

Fantastic ... I wonder if these guys made any money. Jansch died at 67 in 2011 .... that's really sad. Why did he die so young? In a hospice, and his wife died just over two months later.
Jansch died on 5 October 2011, aged 67, at a hospice in Hampstead after a long battle with lung cancer.[1][73] His wife, Loren Jansch (née Auerbach), died of cancer on 9 December 2011. They are both buried in Highgate Cemetery

Why died he so young? 67 is a respectable age if you’ve been a heavy smoker all your life.

Yes I spoke with both of them about a year before they passed away. Bert had played here in Portland Oregon, at the Mississippi Studios in the north side of town. It was a great performance he gave as a solo act. The concert was opened by Neil Young's wife, Peggy.
I'm going to the end of the concert, I had carried My Pentangle Sweet Child album cover with me. There was a woman, I thought was working as a roadie on the stage and rounding up all the equipment to be stowed away. My friends had already walked outside to leave. So I asked the woman on the stage of Burt would come back out and autograph the album cover because hearing this music at age 20 in 1974 changed my life.
She said yes just a moment and she kept working.
Then my lady friend came back inside the theater and said Mark let's go he's not going to come out. I said just a minute this lady said she's going to ask Bert if he'll come out.
So I asked her again, are you sure Bert will come out? She said yes I am sure, I'm going to go right back now and ask him, because he's my husband.
I said oh my gosh, what an honor to meet Burt's wife before I met him.
He came back out in a few moments. As I shook his hand I showed him the album cover, and explain to him how this music changed my life at age 20 when I bought the double album in 1974. He was very humble and spoke about how his favorite banjo player lived here in Portland Oregon. Then he signed his name under the photograph where all four of the group are in with the album cover center fold-out.
Some months later I was driving in my car at night and listening to pentangle music from UA-cam posts and saw the comments mentioning that he had passed away.
I was so humbled and honored that I got to meet him and spoke with him for a few moments.
I also saw John Renbourn perform here in Portland a few years before that, but didn't realize that he had also soon passed away.

When music and its musicians were the REAL DEAL. Not like today's totally talentless impostors relying on their computerised synthesisers and artificial false machinery.

Bert Jansch states quite clearly in his introduction how it is spelled.
