What's your handwriting like? National Handwriting Day is 1/23, so we wanted to make a fun video to celebrate. Let us know if you enjoyed it by giving us a like and comment!
Medium size, hard-handed, right slanting, condensed, and connected letters. (Hilariously, writing in my journal using a Pentel EnerGel right now!) I also use circles to dot- but I had a good laugh at the reaction to not dotting i's at all! How many times did those i's in the video get dotted out of habit?
In college, I got called to the guidance councelor's office because of my handwriting. There was a speaker that day who was studying handwriting and how they interpret you as a person. Well, apparently my handwriting goes every each way, and he needed to talk to mw about it LOL
My handwriting is neat and small, I don’t space letters too much, I prefer medium and small tips, I also prefer gel pens for their flow and vividness. I don’t tilt my letters, I dot my I’s with a simple dot, but I’ll add hearts here and there. My signature is in cursive with a connected heart at the end of my name. I also love adding cute accents. Loved your video JetPens!
I match my handwriting to my pen, not the other way around! Most notably I almost exclusively use cursive with fountain pens and unconnected letters with all other pens and pencils, but size, slant, and spacing also change based on what I'm using.
Almost the same here. Fountains for neatness and showing off my handwriting and other pens for efficient and fast writing and I recently found myself using single letters for fast writing. How ironic huh!
My handwriting is small in size, and the letters are connected (as I write cursive). I don't space letters too much and also tilt my letters to the right. I also prefer gel, pilot, and fountain pens for their smoothness. I dot my I's with a simple dot, But in projects or at times when I am feeling creative, I use shapes like hearts and stars. I don't have a legal signature yet, but I have been practicing and it is somewhat legible. Loved your video JetPens!
Hey, I'm super into hand writing analysis! And I love getting materials from y'all!! This video is more positive than I'm used to with graphology but I understand why. This was a really fun video, great job y'all!!!
I love thick pens, markers, i slant to the right, and i write differently depending on the pen. Usually small to medium writing, i usually write in cursive, but if i am taking notes, its usally pretty organized and neat. Uni-ball air is my favorite pen!!
Yeah they are general, depends on my mood, my stress level, etc. Though I do dot all my i’s and cross my t’s, no hearts for me unless I want to be over demonstrative if writing a note to my family or husband. I also love all pens, cute as well as practical. However, I am responding because I want to know the ink color Kelly Booth signed her name with. I love it.
Small letters, hard pressure, no slant, wide spacing, separate letters, simple dot, legible signature. I really appreciate the pen recommendations for each hand writing style! I swear by the Uni Jetstream and whenever I buy it from you guys I make sure to give some to my friends as gifts (even they love it).
I don't always dot my i's because my letters are so connected, I often can't find them when I finish a word and go back to dot i's and cross t's...I leave tons of letters out...it can be hard for even me to read. 0.7 needle tip energel is the pen for me and i'm so glad i found it this year! Also if anyone reading this wants a tip on making their handwriting neater...buy expensive/really nice paper. I started using the mnemosyne notebooks and the paper is soooooo nice I write a lot slower because I want the writing in them to match the quality of the notebooks, lol.
I write medium to small; sometimes no slant, sometimes slant slightly to the right; somewhat condensed; connect some letters but not all; simple dot for the i; and I prefer fine-tipped fountain and gel pens (anything bigger than 0.38 might as well be a sharpie LOL). I'm also left handed and while I don't use a lot of pressure, my arm/hand tend stiffen up and feel fatigued pretty easily.
Whelp according to jet pens I am now both disciplined, chill and rebellious (cuz my handwriting slants in every direction and sometimes it doesn’t slant. It just depends on the notebook and pens and desk height and all that )lmao.
The first one about the size, those zebra clicker marker pen things are the best to me! There so easy for my to, write with, draw, and trace!I just got them for Christmas this year from Santa too!🎨 (btw, I love your videos!) This vid= a like!❤
Medium(sometimes small), light pressure, no slant, condensed spacing, connected and separate letter(depends on type of note-taking paper), circle dots, legible signature.
handwriting aside, watching this video is such a delight because i can see some of the pens i've used in the past and some i currently use! feels so personal. it's nice 😄🖤
Medium to hard pressure, right slanting to upright (depending on my mood), condensed and connected letters (a hybrid between cursive and print), dotted or slashed i, and illegible signature (my signature hasn't actually changed much in 30+ years and 3 last names). My preferred pens are: fountain pens, Rollerballs, ballpoint, gel, in that order.
I’m block print writer except for when writing in a rush. Small, no slant and condensed. I value clarity and neatness and I’ve been using the pilot hi-tec for at least 10 years now xD
Super fun video, even though I missed handwriting day. Glad to know I'm not a monster. 😅 Efficiency of letter connectedness also a benefit of cursive writing. Makes me wish I had learned shorthand when I had the chance too.
Small, neat handwriting with slightly embellished tails of f, g, j, y letters. Cursive or print depending on what's easier to understand for the intended reader. Uni Signo 0.38mm gel pens have been my personal favourites for almost 20 years now, and Uni Jetstream for work where I can't choose the paper quality.
I've always bubbled my i's, but when I was in middle school one of my teachers would take off 1 point for every bubbled i on my papers 😱 it only made me more rebellious though 😏
medium, light pressure, no slant, condensed words, separate letters, simple dots, legible(ish?) signature. i used to write circles as dots when i was 9
😂I was in the middle of something while listening this video, what caught me off guard and made me look at my screen was the comment made about not dotting the letter i. I gasped. 😂 I also want to say you all are great. I got my most recent order fast too! You all are on it! Keep up the great work.😁
medium size, light pressure, no slant, condensed, unconnected, and i like drawing hearts for my i's unless it for school work! my signature is just cutsive & is legible :)
Small letters, hard pressure usually right slanted but I sometimes write in all 3 :D in one paragraph, condensed words, a combination of connected and separated (when I was a kid I first learned cursive and after some time I started to learn separated letters :D ), simple dot, and squiggly signature
So according to this I am focused on details, have an intense personality, am disciplined, value neatness and organization, have a lot on my mind, value efficiency, am straight to the point, don’t care about embellishments, keep to myself, and only reveal what I need to. *How do you read me so well?*
Focused (small letters); Intense (hard pressure); Neat (no slant) 'part of the handwriting community online and enjoy showing off how neat your handwriting is' ... That's so accurate about me!😂 ; Efficient (connected letters) 'likes gel pens that write smoothly like the Pentel Energel' ... That's absolutely my favourite pen!!!😱; Fun/Direct (shapes for dots/simple dots); Transparent (legible signature) ...... Ok this generalization fit me so well all in all!✌🏻😄
I write small , left slanting letters and am apply hard pressure. The words are condensed and I actually both seperate my letters and connect them(alternatively) . I simply dot my i's and my signature is sqiggly .
Small, light pressure, no slant, separate letters and Pilot Hi-Tec C3 (among other pens, ofc) user here~! Funny thing is I used to be all of those types since my handwriting used to be a copy of whoever my seatmate was from from elem to high school. 😂
I'm ambidextrous, so my right hand is faster, typically cursive, everything joins up and it's slanted to the right, whereas my left is always print, every letter is spaced out and there's no slant. (I'm predominantly right-handed and learned to write with my left when I was 13-16 because I kept breaking my fingers from karate so I think I just learnt good handwriting from the start). I think the two sides of my brain are having a fight, but it is was useful in my exams to have a spare hand to write essays with, though I was accused of cheating multiple times because there were two drastically different prints on all my pages lol.
My handwriting is a hybrid: I'm right-handed with neat, small handwriting that has either connected or separate letters (either cursive or print), with no or light pressure, no or simple dots, no slant and/or right-slanted text, my signature is legible and my notes are always filled with really condensed words.
My hand writing is usually small, hard-handed, small spacing with the letters, literally buy only gel pens bc of the flow and how vibrant the colors to see, I dot my I's with a circle and my signature sometimes has a fancy heart at the end and I love to use colorful inks when writing notes in class and during my middle school days we have a class that can improve ur handwriting and when tried to change my handwriting to my usual handwriting today, I was like: " yeah this is even more better I'm gonna change it from now on".
Medium letters, hard pressure, no slant at normal writing speed but right slant when I'm writing quickly, condensed words, separate letters, simple dots, legible signature. Pretty true overall! :D
I write fairly big but I prefer finer tipped pens. I also have a heavy hand but prefer gel pens to ballpoint pens normally. I can’t really tell on spacing, but I think I put more space between words and the only letter I connect is the letter “e” to certain letters. I just do a simple dot for the “i.” My signature is very simple.
My handwriting reflects my mood when I'm writing. If I'm happy I tend to showcase my writing. But when I'm sad, I tend to just write. Oh well, everyday can be different. 😘♥️❗
my handwriting fluctuates between small and medium sizes (generally medium cuz that works for the paper), i've been getting lighter-handed, right slanting (even though i'm a leftie), small spacing but i connect numbers more often than letters, if i'm taking school notes i just put a dot but i like putting hearts in my journal cuz they're cute and if the other letter could line up with a dot i just don't dot it. generally though i just focus on legibility
My favorite tip is .5 both in pencil and pen. My best pen is the Pilot Precise V5RT and have actually gotten the other accountants in the office using the same one after they’d wander off with mine 🤣
I write small because I feel I can write faster and neatly the smaller I keep the size. I also condense my spacing and connect the letters to fit more words per line when possible 😁
I've got light pressure, medium size, no slant, condensed spacing and not at all uniform print! But with hight school "write" around the corner, at least I have something to improve on.
Does anyone know what planner that is at 0:17? I've been looking for something like this for ages - I usually just end up drawing my own in my bujo and it's really time consuming!
Hi there! That's a Kokuyo Jibun Techo Planner. Unfortunately we're sold out of 2022 planners, but they'll be back this fall for 2023. You can learn more about them in our comprehensive guide here: www.jetpens.com/blog/Kokuyo-Jibun-Techo-A-3-in-1-Planner/pt/949
My handwriting changes all the time, my print is never uniform, I write in cursive all the time but some letters, especially the S changes often within a sentence between print and cursive styles, no idea why I do that. I love my Frixion pens in single and multi pen because I like to erase mistakes. I’m afraid I don’t fit in any category here, 😂.
Wtf this was spot on In case you're wondering, I have the smallest handwriting you've probably ever seen (my poor teachers can't read it), I dot my i's, I don't slant my writing, and whether my letters are touching depends on how much of a hurry I'm in or how much I care about the neatness. My signature is completely illegible. My writing is very condensed, and I put medium to light pressure on my writing. Lol
Small print with a Uni ball Signo UM-151 is my recipe for a good day. Increasingly I'm using a Pilot Prera with a very fine nib borrowed from a Kakuno for basic writing (and a Pilot Pluminix with italic nib for special occasions) but it's hard to top those wonderful UM-151s!
A small letter printer here and I do loves me some fine tipped gel pens, though I don't know if a junior high school drafting class caused it, or just brought out what was already there as I sometimes used to rewrite things I found in books, unknowingly forming a habit of practicing my handwriting a bit before that time. Lol, my budding stationery addiction phase.
Medium, hard, right-slanted, condensed, connected, squiggly signature, and I switch between dots, slashes, and no dots for my i's depending on how fast I'm writing 😅
I have small lettering style and I do like my fine and extra fine lettering 😌 had my entire year of geometry notes in just a small handful of pages and my teacher legit had an issue reading it she’s like, “did you need to write it this small.” 😆 I take the fit as much as you can write on a notecard seriously and I don’t slant my letters. I don’t show off my handwriting but it does feel nice when someone notices it and compliments it and I write very lightly always in sweeping strokes 😌
Well I don't actually have a go-to handwriting so I do all the writing mentioned in the video. I use fiff handwriting for diff subject. I'm still trying to find my style which I can call my go-to !!
I have curated different signatures for different purposes: I sign electronic signatures with just the first three ketters of my first name with a period after - Otherwise it looks like a serial killer's. I have fashioned my signatures for legal documents, business memos and casual letters or cards very differently. I even have a autograph that I designed when I was a teenager - it's larger capital letters are styled and there is a bigger slant. I have never, ever been asked for my autograph, but I'll be ready just in case. I also use fountain pens almost exclusively because I have built up a callous on my middle finger from using to much pressure for too many years. A friend asked me why I was "punishing my paper". She said that if you leave indentations on your next page, you are using way too much pressure. Now I love my paper. Fun video - keep up the good work!
I use copperplate script to write! Sometimes spencerenian! I love my handwriting, people say it looks printed a lot of times too! Don't know what that says about me 😅
I have a quite large handwriting, I use a strong pressure whenever I write, no slant and less spacing, my writings are semi-connected too. For dots i just use simple dot. Based from this video I'm extroverted but in reality I'm introverted as heck lol.. no worries, i know this vid it's just for fun😆 my fave pens are actually roll pens and gel pens, since I really the the smoothness of the ink flow and I can apply pressure without worrying I might bend the tip
That was fun. For me it depends on what I am writing, who is gonna read it - other than myself, how tired I am, what I'm writing on (differnt papers need different pens) and what I'm writing with. I'm used to writing cursive as that was what I was taught from third grade and it's quick. (I love both fountain pens and have quite a few, as well as a ton of gel pens) I only write print when I need it to look extra neat - but that takes longer and a lot more attention. My cursive slants, my print usually doesn't *shrug* I'm versatile I guess? XD
my handwriting is Mid size my I is dotted or a circle or no dots depends on how fast I'm writing usually none I have a combination of connected and separate letters and have no slant to a slight right slant and usually press hard for the body light for endings
Well, let's see... So I am a focussed, intense writer who likes to keep his writings neat and ruminative, showcasing my efficiency and directness. It certainly hits the mark :D
I used to have slanted dots for my i and then I started learning Spanish. And it was just easier to not dot my i so you could tell the accented i from the regular i 😅
What if you’re right handed but have to hold your page to a 90 degree angle to write? When I taught I floored my students by the fact I could start at the bottom of the chalkboard and write a straight line Of words to the top. Very neat, precise letters. But to write straight across my letters were large and blocky
I was the last person in all of my classes that still uses cursive. No one seemed to care about it though, expect my Social Studies (yes Social Studies teacher, not my ELA teacher) who was really the only one that seemed impressed.
What's your handwriting like? National Handwriting Day is 1/23, so we wanted to make a fun video to celebrate. Let us know if you enjoyed it by giving us a like and comment!
Graphology? Moar pleaseee
My writing is a combination of connected letters and separated letters!!
Large letters and right slant but I tend to use fine tip gel pens.
Says lot.
I write with very hard pressure but gel pens are the way to go. Maybe it's just preference to do that
Medium size, hard-handed, right slanting, condensed, and connected letters. (Hilariously, writing in my journal using a Pentel EnerGel right now!) I also use circles to dot- but I had a good laugh at the reaction to not dotting i's at all! How many times did those i's in the video get dotted out of habit?
...more times than we care to admit! 😂
OMG SAME!!!! Now I believe in Graphology!! Hehe!!
Sameeeè! Vóilaaa
Never considered using circles to dot, but I kinda like it. Especially as with some pens (mostly ballpoints) it can be hard to put down a good dot.
Medium size, hard pressure,no slant, condensed, separated, simple dot and I use Pop Bazic TM and Pentel Energel
In college, I got called to the guidance councelor's office because of my handwriting. There was a speaker that day who was studying handwriting and how they interpret you as a person. Well, apparently my handwriting goes every each way, and he needed to talk to mw about it LOL
LMAO WHAT
What was the outcome?
My handwriting is neat and small, I don’t space letters too much, I prefer medium and small tips, I also prefer gel pens for their flow and vividness. I don’t tilt my letters, I dot my I’s with a simple dot, but I’ll add hearts here and there. My signature is in cursive with a connected heart at the end of my name. I also love adding cute accents. Loved your video JetPens!
Omg mine as well
Love how much JetDo has been showing up in the videos - especially this one!
I match my handwriting to my pen, not the other way around! Most notably I almost exclusively use cursive with fountain pens and unconnected letters with all other pens and pencils, but size, slant, and spacing also change based on what I'm using.
Same here i use gel pen in english and write very neat small cursive handwriting while i use ball pens for sst science and write it very roughly
I love it.
my handwriting used to be a lot smaller, but now it’s been gradually getting bigger, i wonder what that says about me
Small letters, hard pressure, no slant, wide spacing, separate letters, simple dot, legible signature. I really appreciate the pen recommendations for each hand writing style! I swear by the Uni Jetstream and whenever I buy it from you guys I make sure to give some to my friends as gifts (even they love it).
The “jumpscare” for the no dot for the i scared me lmao
I don't always dot my i's because my letters are so connected, I often can't find them when I finish a word and go back to dot i's and cross t's...I leave tons of letters out...it can be hard for even me to read. 0.7 needle tip energel is the pen for me and i'm so glad i found it this year!

Literally my twin
Whelp according to jet pens I am now both disciplined, chill and rebellious (cuz my handwriting slants in every direction and sometimes it doesn’t slant. It just depends on the notebook and pens and desk height and all that )lmao.
I am a mix of these. I write both cursive and print in the same paragraph. Dual personality. 😆
PLEASE make more videos like this one. I LOVE these kinds of videos
This was pretty spot on actually, except the part about connecting letters, they do just because I write in cursive not for fast writing.
This is actually very true!
handwriting aside, watching this video is such a delight because i can see some of the pens i've used in the past and some i currently use! feels so personal. it's nice 😄🖤
"Sweeping generalizations!" 😄 That was fun!
Can I just mention, I love the animation with the channel mascot! They're so cute and funny😄
Medium to hard pressure, right slanting to upright (depending on my mood), condensed and connected letters (a hybrid between cursive and print), dotted or slashed i, and illegible signature (my signature hasn't actually changed much in 30+ years and 3 last names).
My preferred pens are: fountain pens, Rollerballs, ballpoint, gel, in that order.
mine’s medium letters, light pressure, left/no slant, condensed words, connected letters, simple/slash dots, squiggly signature
I’m block print writer except for when writing in a rush. Small, no slant and condensed. I value clarity and neatness and I’ve been using the pilot hi-tec for at least 10 years now xD
Oh my gosh, so spot on!! Love this video!!
When she said the first one about the big letters, I just knew I was introvert since I write small 🤣😅😂
You can write small, but it's the backward slant that tells about introvert personality.
Cursive or print depending on what's easier to understand for the intended reader. medium size, light pressure, no slant, condensed, unconnected, and i like drawing hearts for my i's unless it for school work! my signature is just cutsive & is legible :)
They're me. They're all me, depending on the paper, pen, ink, and how I'm feeling at the time.
Hats off to the humor and charm!
Medium letters, hard pressure, right slant / no slant (depends on the day), separate letters, simple dots, and legible signature. 🥰
I change my hand writing depending on the subject I use italic cursive in literary subjects and more of keyboard style for scientific subjects
Small letters, hard pressure usually right slanted but I sometimes write in all 3 :D in one paragraph, condensed words, a combination of connected and separated (when I was a kid I first learned cursive and after some time I started to learn separated letters :D ), simple dot, and squiggly signature

Woo..Everything said about my writing style and its link with my personality is absolutely true to much extent....😇👌
I write in slightly slant medium letter legible signature and with light pressure
My handwriting is a hybrid: I'm right-handed with neat, small handwriting that has either connected or separate letters (either cursive or print), with no or light pressure, no or simple dots, no slant and/or right-slanted text, my signature is legible and my notes are always filled with really condensed words.

Can we get more kawaii stationery videos?
Medium letters, hard pressure, no slant at normal writing speed but right slant when I'm writing quickly, condensed words, separate letters, simple dots, legible signature. Pretty true overall! :D

When my writing varies depending on how much effort I’m adding or time I have
Wtf this was spot on
In case you're wondering, I have the smallest handwriting you've probably ever seen (my poor teachers can't read it), I dot my i's, I don't slant my writing, and whether my letters are touching depends on how much of a hurry I'm in or how much I care about the neatness. I have medium letters, hard pressure, no slant, condensed spacing, connected letters, slashed Is, and legible.
Medium size, light pressure, left slant, connected letters , simple dots, squiggly signature .( Going to buy the one's which are not suggested for me)
I recently stopped dotting my i’s because I think it looks good xD still have to dot them when writing cursive though
Signo DX for life. But maybe not for long, Mitsubishi is focusing on ONE.
Arapaima Gold -- Noooooooooo! That would be terrible!
My handwriting changes like every letter-
Like everything seems alright then suddenly I look back at what I’m writing and go
“How did it go do wrong”
I have small hand writing, and those 2 pens are the actual pens I use and love rn
All of the above ❤️ super fun 👌 👏
The only thing my handwriting says is "this person holds their pen in a weird way" lol
XD
I have tiny, cramped writing that slants heavy to the left ✍🏽🥷🏽
I have a legible signature ✍🏽🤔🧐
IT is spot on, Well done
my handwriting is Mid size my I is dotted or a circle or no dots depends on how fast I'm writing usually none I have a combination of connected and separate letters and have no slant to a slight right slant and usually press hard for the body light for endings
Hi Jetens !!
Can u make a video for drawing tips plzzz🥺🥺
What about crossing 0?
Well, let's see... So I am a focussed, intense writer who likes to keep his writings neat and ruminative, showcasing my efficiency and directness. It certainly hits the mark :D
Go to the schools in the US right now, they have around 5% of student body that actually can write a complete sentence in 4th grade.
2:53 what pen is this?
What if you adapt your handwriting/ change your handwriting every now and then? I just change my handwriting depending on a lot of things
I used to have slanted dots for my i and then I started learning Spanish. And it was just easier to not dot my i so you could tell the accented i from the regular i 😅
Hi! Is it able to find all this information in written format? I’d love to include it in one of my journals 😊
What if you’re right handed but have to hold your page to a 90 degree angle to write? When I taught I floored my students by the fact I could start at the bottom of the chalkboard and write a straight line Of words to the top. Very neat, precise letters. But to write straight across my letters were large and blocky
I don't dot my i's when I write in print, only in cursive. I don't remember why I stopped or exactly when, but it's been years and years now.
How do i get an internship at jet pens?
We're currently not offering internships, but you can check out our careers page: careers.jobscore.com/careers/pcowinc
Ummm yes. All true for my writing- small, no slant, don't dot my i's, connect my letters. All the accompanying character traits seemed on point. 🤔
I was the last person in all of my classes that still uses cursive. No one seemed to care about it though, expect my Social Studies (yes Social Studies teacher, not my ELA teacher) who was really the only one that seemed impressed.
