The Chinese can build a MagLev line in just under a year. Yet it seems here in the States it's taken my hometown just as long to upgrade a piddly road intersection...and they're not done yet.
Why Germany does not have commercial Maglev train todays? Why Germany does not have invisible fighter ? Why Germany does not have the fastest computer? Why Germany does not have the fastest smart phone?
No, the US could totally have a maglev in one or two of its cities. It's just that we like to spend nearly all of our money on our millitary. Then we complain that our millitary isn't strong enough and increase millitary spending.
Futuristic concept unique in the world... maglev trains as we know them with linear motors created in the UK in the 1980s where it ran a small airport line but never took off
Underground trains like in London should be build on this technology, why aren’t they? The costs of this would sink dramatically, the main problem with this is that you have to build all these huge columns and bridge type of constructions throughout the track on the underground it would be eliminated.....
+Dechosen Pen it's just strange that they are bragging about how unique and revolutionary it is. it might be new and nice but it's not really that ground breaking.
TheLegoEngineer well, the shanghai one is the first commercial meglev in the world which began operation since 2004. treat this video as if it were 10 years ago...
Damm 9 month? Our 22 miles and 45 mph rail in Honolulu take 10 years hopefully. And 9.7 billion as of now. And funny even them have better gideway piling base, our is just a deep hole and a pilling mold that cement poured in. They say it’s cant suport 2 train together on the piling but that not going to happen anyway. Great quality control beside we’re having cracked shims problems. Can china build our rail?
@@bazle64 aha, not jealous but it was. Transrapid was made in germany but stopt testing after the crash 2011. Go get some information befor you post something
It will take 5 years to get planning permission in the US and fifteen years to get the necessary fund because America spend 85% of their economy on amunitions and fighting stupid war.
could anyone tell me what's the difference between this and the Shinkansen? Since they say it "floats" doesn't the Shinkansen floats as well? A genuine question.
Not exactly. The Japanese do have Maglev systems in research, the Germans also have their own Maglev technology, they both use the same principle as their Chinese counterpart (magnetic levitation) hence the name, but the way they were engineered is a little different. The Shinkansen is a high-speed railway rather than a specific set of trains. The Chuo Shinkansen is the Japanese maglev railway which have being receiving tests with Maglevs since the 90's if I'm not wrong, but they still are in research. On another hand, the Shanghai Maglev is already operating and is the first true Maglev system to be launched commercially whereas its Japanese counterpart is not in commercial operation yet. So, the famously Japanese bullet-trains are more or less a traditional train being powered by electricity rather than diesel, they also have more aerodynamic shapes which also helps in reaching higher velocities. The Shanghai maglev is operating since 2004. The first commercial Japanese maglev is expected to start operating in 2027 between Tokyo and Nagoya.
It's an ego project. The cost per km is 100x that of standard rail. Standard HSR can be run to 500 kpm so this is not economical at all. It's just an item of national pride -- it also only serves the rich and tourists -- the locals don't use it.
DerMetzFetz Do you have evidence to show that this was stolen? If you can't prove it you deserve to be sued.Probably that's your mentality to steal anything you can not afford. Almost anything in this world can be bought that includes you.
Travelling 40 kms in 45 minutes means that the Average Speed of the Car is 50 km/hr and this speed is more than enough in traffic. In India, speed of car in traffic hardly reaches 10 km/hr. #chutiyachina #bewakoofchina
Why Germany does not have commercial Maglev train todays? Why Germany does not have invisible fighter ? Why Germany does not have the fastest computer? Why Germany does not have the fastest smart phone?
+Evan murphy Such a typical and stupid stereotype. This maglev train came to service ten years ago, back to that time, japan didn't own this. Chinese bought the technology from German. They paid for it, not copied.
Martinski Egtgeheim OK OK TGV the best...But there are over 20,000 KM conventional high speed railways in China, and the commercial is speed is around 350km..you do know that, right?
And a Maglev is just a monorail, not a train! A real train drives on railtracks, diesel engines or electrified! Not a fucking Maglev wich is very ugly, harming the landscapes with those ugly concrete tracks who are high above ground! TGV commercial speed is by the way 350km/h, no one can beat the guinness book of records speed 574,8km/h jet!
Can we all just take a moment to applaud and appreciate the amazing demo that man thought up to demonstrate the water coming to the surface?
It's a shame that germany developed and testet it already in 1985, but still doesen't use it because of politics.
Edmund Stoiber's famous speech about the train tells us, why Germany does not use it🤣
European Airline Companies lobbing governments so hard, not to Transrapid went into real service.
Sounds like her english accent is choking her.
lol 😂😂😂
That's not an English accent, but whatever
This Transrapid is completely Developed in Germany in the 1990s not a Single Chinese has Developed anything here ...
Well, the Chinese invented the gunpowder *shots fired*
The Chinese built the train and the track
China only build the track. The train was built in Germany and exported to China.
It is/was a joint venture project between Germany and China.
Larry Bran China invented gun and canno also
Sour grapes.
Amazing , I'm going a trip in China next week , so excited now! Can't wait!
Put it into an evacuated tube and you have the Hyperloop
someone give her a proper microphone please
They could have used a light on her and/or a reflector.
This has got some of the most over the top dramatic music.
That's why civil engineers are awesome!!
The maglev isn't a new concept. It made it sound like it is.
40 kilometers in 45 minute is slow? Seriously!
You can't check on all your underpaid factories if you move any slower than that
With all that hating time maybe you could have used some of it to help improve the transportation infrastructure of your country. Just sayin.
+Nishant Agarwal Well that's an average of around 30 mph. I would say that is average for a city. I think they were worried about it getting worse.
The Chinese can build a MagLev line in just under a year. Yet it seems here in the States it's taken my hometown just as long to upgrade a piddly road intersection...and they're not done yet.
this is like a downgraded version of Japan's bullet train
how is it different from jew

Germany technology
Why Germany does not have commercial Maglev train todays? Why Germany does not have invisible fighter ? Why Germany does not have the fastest computer? Why Germany does not have the fastest smart phone?
Henry Germany has and had a good and close rail network, no need for a Transrapid.
Sammel Surium would be good if that network was reliable and on time.... which is known it is not
Kamil M. So, I tried to write an ironic comment and I failed^^
Because they are making profit :D
I love Yewande's accent!
Why does she sounds like she going to cry at the end?
The only commercial high speed maglev so far
This would allow to live 200 miles away. But be at work in 45 minutes. Utilizing outer rural areas for urban housing.
How hasn't this been already implemented in all major cities? Start off with replacing
Amtrak in the East Coast.
+Rick Sanchez its very costly the technology is very new remember when steam engine was new it was very costly today it is cheap.Give it some time.
The Transrapid runs first for over 30 jears in Germany on a Testtrack, it was engineered and build also in Germany. This is the german Transrapid 07

in germany it failed due to a citizens' petition still cant believe it

are there any other youtube channels like this?
Seriously she thinks 45 minutes for 40 km is long. Looooooooool.
Come to Mumbai. I travel 45 minutes for 4.5 km in Bandra kurla complex
I'm still not getting it....currently I'm scratching my head and thinking of how Foolish that presenter is. Maybe she should clear her facts again.
Futuristic concept unique in the world... maglev trains as we know them with linear motors created in the UK in the 1980s where it ran a small airport line but never took off
Wasn't the WEDWay PeopleMover which opened at Walt Disney World in 1975 an example of this technology?
BurningtunaDC that one caught my intrigue, certainly linear motors on the Wedway but not magnetic levitation
the japaneese build the same thing quite a long time ago?
And in Europe we need 20 years to build such a track with normal rails -.-
You made a video on it, but you didn't even go inside it? Some kind of budgetary measure?
Judging by how empty the Maglev is most of the time.
I guess honey bunny..you're wrong about most people not having time to wait in traffic
Underground trains like in London should be build on this technology, why aren’t they? monorail ...monorail.. monorail:)

Shanghai Maglev as Lagos State Monorail
maybe I'm mistaken but isn't this just a bullet train? something that's been around for a while now in Japan.
yea but whats ur point..?

Oh, that would explain it. That and a little cable TV hype that is. :)
dude this is the fastest operational train in the world.

Very nice

It was built in 2002......
India would also be like this today. If there was no Reservation in seats, Promotion...

great
Sir China Shanghai maglev trains project 25000 kilometers have in India not even 500 kilometers also not have

A bit unfortunate to see this train so hard
The Maglev is from Germany
Sir China only develop Shanghai maglev trains project in India. India always love s China
This is just the monorail from Disney
I think the People Mover in Tomorrowland is a closer cousin.
Why don't we have this in America? Please answer.
It will take 5 years to get planning permission in the US and fifteen years to get the necessary fund because America spend 85% of their economy on amunitions and fighting stupid war.
Public transit = socialism in the view of many in the US.
+BurningtunaDC What's even wrong with socialism (I think every country in Europe has a socialist party which is at least top 3).

They bought it from Germany. And Germany ditched it long ago because it's uneconomical.
Pff... I made maglev trains back in 1994 on TTD

Why the fuck didn't you metion that this technology is stolen from germany?
DerMetzFetz Weil sie nicht gestohlen wurde. Sie wurde in Deutschland gebaut und verkauft

then why doesn't Germany have one? Germany came up with the concept but it was china who perfected it and made it work.

Japan started its Maglev-programm 1962. BEFORE Germany. The Japanese train differs from the German one in terms of the drive system.
Everything is built upon something else. Can you simply applaud the fact that China actually built one commercially viable Mag Lev train?
