Summer Species: Bass, Codling, Pollock, Dabs, Flounder, Plaice, Mackerel, Coal fish, Common Eel, Sea Scorpion, Common Blenny, Sand Eel, Herron, Gurnard and Weaver.
Winter Species: Codling, Whiting, Pouting Coal fish.

+Tyler Robb no I don't think we get them around here. You would be best off heading up north or over the west coast for them.

What would you recommend as a good spot for beginners?
Any where from the brigade hut up to the first gate or round about marker 44 up near the top.

No probs mate. Aye its a canny place to fish you been catching much?
Gary wood the first day I went bought a cheap 9ft rod and caught about 8 mackeral decent size as well, I live about a thirty minute walk from the end of the pier can't think why I have never started.

where is the best part for bass
+Tyler Robb A few have been caught off the end over the last couple of years but you would have more luck getting one from the big beach next to the pier.
