All of the guys have got great and distinctive vocal character. I've loved listening to the changes in style as they have gone through the albums, it never gets stale and I can always go back to an album and enjoy it again. The albums from Call of the Mastodon to Blood Mountain scratch the heavy itch, and the mixture of prog, hard rock and psychedelia going from Crack the Skye all the way up to Hushed and Grim is amazing.

Thanks, Captain, for this wonderful interview. I had heard of Mastodon but never really knew much about them. But after listening to the entire interview am going to go check them out. Bill seems like a great guy and a real down-to-earth person. I really appreciated this. Thanks again.

He's so right about guitar sound - and I think its something people who teach guitar to people should help people understand; there's by yourself-enough-gain-to-level-a-city-block sounds & how a guitar needs to sound within the confines of a mix/group

I never, in my wildest dreams, would have imagined Bill K would be a guest on Andertons TV. Amazing.

In the mid 80’s every Saturday night California university (PA) had a punk show and you could call in and make up a name , send a song out to some other people who would call in and ask for songs. We’d record them on cassette decks. If we weren’t out driving around looking for a place to skate. I think The Accused are who influenced me the most to play an instrument. Among DK’s, Fang, DOA, Adrenaline OD, Minor Threat, Misfits! Discovering that there was this whole thing that was kind of hidden from the world was like finding Pandora’s box .
