Today I got my sketch book and made a new character and made a whole page full of her stuff where she lives and made her in different poses I just had so much fun! I named her Rain and she lives in the forest and I just loved it and having drawing wife waffles playing really inspired me truly I just enjoy and love her art and vids. I hope one day I’m able to show my work more and be proud of it like her. One day I also want to meet her in person but until then I’m going to keep drawing! Edit : so sorry I said and so much I know that’s bad grammar.

Chicken Head Faerie the only time it’s acceptable to use black/grey is in all black and white drawings or it the line art is black and you to like cross hatching

*sad story time:* i had one purple pen that i accidentally stole from my therapist (sorry elizabeth) and i used it for EVERYTHING. she wrote so smoothly and the color was pretty, i named her kitty for some reason and i loved her! but sadly, one day, kitty started to run dry on ink. me and my mom searched long and far for the correct ink to fill her up again,but no luck. so i stopped using her so i wouldnt waste ink. but on another day, i had her in my pocket and i had the most amazing idea for an art piece. i had to write it down and kitty was all i had. i wrote my idea down as i saw the last of her beautiful ink leave her tube. i was very upset and my mom asked why. i said "my pen died". my mother laughed as i held the pen in my hands, mourning and thinking of the great times me and kitty had together. r.i.p purple kitty pen 2020 - 2020

Honestly I switched to sketching in pen and have improved much more quickly. I still outline the shape of a full illustration in pencil but you should try pen! No one has to see it but you and it forces you to improve and now be so critical whereas with pencil I found myself getting frustrated easier and focusing on minor details.

Now that ive grown a little bit as an artist and a growth mindset, i draw in non erasable color pencils pencils/pens. Its so much fun. Everyone should definitely try it out. Personally, i got more loose and figured out a style i lovE as well!

I thought I was the only one who used these pens to draw, I get them in packs of 8 all the time, except they come in 4 different colors (i prefer the light blue one). I've always loved ballpoint pens, and I've always found myself coming back to these exact ones to mess around with them. another thing, the light blue in the Round Stic Grip Xtra-Comfort pack looks great with an Ohuhu Pastel Blue brush marker.
And now I’m obsessed with drawing with purple pen, I drew with pen while watching the video and just on the spread u can see the improvement as it moves down

i used to compare myself to other artists when I was younger. it stopped me from wanting to try. its okay to check out other peoples art and find inspiration, but when it comes time to draw. don't put them side by side. it isn't healthy. 💜

Tip for anyone with cheaper alcohol markers!!!! I found that with the ohuhu markers colors didn't work, but with the brush ones, the colorless blender had the same affect!!! I got really into it and it was so fun!!!!! You should definitely try it out!!!!
I do this too! But I'm addicted to light blue and turquoise.. so I drew in light blue and dark blue pen with pencil color and blue highlighter.. (I don't have alcohol marker..)
