  • Here's some of the braiding hair I love to use to do my twist. Which includes Marley twist, Senegalese twist, and Havana twist. From my understanding Marley twist are twist that are done with any time of Marley, kinky, or course hair which usually are small to medium in size and thickness. The Senegalese twist is done using kankelon hair or the braiding hair used on box braids or singles. The Senegalese twist are usually really thin and dense. Lastly the Havana twist are twist done with using usually Cuban twist braid hair or any course Marley hair. These twist are very large and thick. Hopefully my description of each type of braid made sense and was helpful to anyone reading.
    For anyone wondering:
    My Cuban twist braiding hair that I am wearing was purchased on wigtypes.com and is the color T30 (Auburn). I used s total of 6 packs and I did not cut the hair (24inches).

    Just now realizing there's no emoji's with braids, twist, or dreads/locs. 🤔🤔🤔 As always thanks for watching 🤗

    What is the brand name of the kinkier marley hair you use for your buns (that is not the cuban twist)? I am not a big fan of the softer marley hair and the cuban twist is just way too rough and uncomfortable for me so that hair would probably be a great in between texture for me.

      kamawi96 yea I have . I’d say to go with the kanekalon or Xpression hair that’s used for Senegalese twist . It’s a lot lighter than the kinky textured hair when wet. The length and fullness of the twist is also something to consider but the Xpressions hair is lighter when wet. Hope this helps ❤️

    Thank you so much, this is the video that I've been looking for. I'm planning to make some twist but couldn't decide which hair to use. I don't want my twist to look to perfect, but after seeing the differences between the hair textures I think I'm going for the Cuban twist. What I would like to know is how many packages I would have to use if I want a medium thickness and that they reach my waist?

    • @UVTV
      @UVTV  7 років тому +1

      Krystel Wright I'm so glad this video helped you out. And Cuban twist are my favorite hair texture to use. The twist I have in used the Cuban twist in the 24 in pack and they reached right above my butt I used 6 packs. If you want your twist around the same size as mine I would recommend 6-8 packs but if you want them a little thicker I would get 10 packs to be safe. Order them off wigtypes that come it's cheaper ❤️

    for the Senegalese twist how does the kankelon hair feel?

    • @UVTV
      @UVTV  7 років тому +1

      danay conner the xpressions kankelon hair is the best hair to use for Senegalese twist. The hair is soft, doesn't tangle, not itchy , and it's easy to burn the ends or seal them with hot water

  • @Tific55
    @Tific55 4 роки тому

    How did you prevent your natural hair from coming out of the Senegalese twist using the kankelon hair? Mine came out great the first day, but moisturizing my hair has brought a lot of my natural hair out of the twist. I think doing it over with Marley hair will be better. Any information will be helpful. Thank you.
