    The new Tonic Pad Player is live in the App! 👉sundaysounds.com/pages/sunday-keys-app
    To get started first update the App in the App Store to App version 2.0, then use the Sound Downloads Manager in the App to download the newest version of the Sunday Keys Sound Library.

      Or when I’m running sound and the band isn’t using a pad I’ll play the tonic pad from front of house.

    This is fantastic! This will give me the flexibility to pare down and simplify my patches to be less cpu intensive, have fewer components to adjust, all the while allowing me to dynamically shape the sound of the tonic pad to be more or less complex to fit the moment!! Bravo!
    Perhaps in the future can you make it possible to midi map the individual channels in the tonic pad? This will give me more flexibility to shape the drone without having to adjust my playing on the physical keyboard. Just a request for future updates.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  4 дні тому +1

      hmm, we’re not really as focused on time-based chord playback here, we’d tend to recommend opting to use tracks for that context. part of the appeal of the way Tonic works is that each Layer and Voicing has its own unique length and evolving pattern, so even as you let the pad run over time you’ll never get the same exact results as the Layers interact with each other.

    The only thing missing in the app now is knob or fader that controls the high shelf (low pass filter) in the EQ on a per channel basis. This would help us be able to control the warmth or brightness of an instrument. It's the only thing holding me over from switching from Mainstage. Love everything else about Sunday keys so far!

    Absolutely amazing! Thank you for continuing to innovate and provide new features & sounds. And your demos are always incredibly helpful. One question… if you make changes to one of the preset pads but don’t save it as a user preset, will it revert to the factory settings the next time you select it (or have I changed the factory setting “forever”)?

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  6 днів тому

      Great question! Those changes will only be temporary and will persist only in that Setlist until you make further changes or select a different Preset. Any settings you dial in that you'd like to be available in other Patches/Setlists should get saved to your User Presets library for easy access in the future.

    A layer to the pad that actually plays some piano underscoring. Some of our keys players struggle with the concept. Even if it is sparse, it would be enough to add a little life and movement to the pad, when we don’t have someone to play that.

    Love this so much, thanks for the flexibility! One suggestion I have that would solve a significant level of tweaking on the part of our sound guy is being able to define the volume of an overall patch rather than just one individual sound. Love the flexibility, but once I get a patch mixed the way I want, sometimes it doesn’t match the level of the next patch. Is there a way to incorporate something like this?

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  5 днів тому +1

      Thanks, Jesse! This is something we've discussed internally off and on, because we can definitely see it being valuable in cases like you describe. We haven't quite cracked how/where to make this an option so it's easy enough to get to, and especially to *remember* you've made changes, but it's not fundamentally moving or getting in the way of primary UI components.. we'll keep thinking on it and come up with a solution!

    • @jessechristman1471
      @jessechristman1471 4 дні тому

      @ Agree it could be challenging to remind users of the overall volume fader if it’s buried in a menu somewhere. When I’ve gone looking for this feature, I’ve often searched in the Patch Settings, so I think there may be opportunity within that menu or one level above in the patch context menu. To remind users what the level is, you could have a thin indicator bar under (or even within) the main volume in the top right that shows where the active patch overall level is set compared to max. Just an idea!

    Anyone have a great set of settings to simulate a bass guitar? Our team doesn't have bass player.

    • @SundaySounds

      We just released a new set of electric bass Sounds in the January SK library update! They were designed specifically for the case you're describing. Search for "Stock Bass" in the App and check them out to find the one that feels best for your context.

    Nice pad upgrade, is it possible to have midi mapping to the controls now over the pad's:
    1. on/off,
    2. volume,
    3. brightness, and
    4. shimmer?
    (so we can select from our keyboard or midi controller)

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  7 днів тому +2

      Yes, for sure! All of those controls are Midi Learnable. Just enter the Midi Learn view from the Dropdown Menu > Midi Learn.

      @@SundaySounds with this robust feature now, definitely recommend
      1. putting a fav button open for pads and
      2. emplacing a fav button for setlists up above near the patch lock
      -- so someone can midi contol pulling a "go-to" pad or setlist they setup for ease of using during a live performance.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  7 днів тому +1

      You can always use a Program change message to hop to a 'go-to' Patch that you could include your favorite default Tonic Pad settings in, that's probably how we'd recommend achieving something like this.

    • @pcgambit
      @pcgambit 6 днів тому

      @@SundaySounds I've not done a program change message before, will read up on it.
      Last suggestion: consider an octave change button for the pad. Some of them get to be too high to be a background contribution imho (why I've used the Prime app pads until now).
      If can change the octave back down to keep the pad mid-to low, it'd be awesome..

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  6 днів тому +1

      @@pcgambit okay cool, program change is def. the way to go.
      For your last suggestion, the new Tonic Pad has this. All of the Layers have different octaves available as Voices. Most all of them feature at least "Low", "Mid", and "High" options, so you can easily voice up/down for whatever key you need to dial-in.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  День тому

      You can easily dial in the right amount of harmonic complexity with the “Voice” control for each Layer, to make sure your songs don’t clash!

    If they can just add the possibility to play simple loops in the app . It doesnt have to be complicated just simple ones like for worship or a 4/4 beat..it would be perfect and I would definitely drop my Ableton set for it.
