I didn't know it was reformulated and I just opened a new bottle of the old formulation that I had in my stash. I'm so relieved they are very similar. Thanks for the video ❤

I thought both sides looked great! It's amazing how expensive it is now. I'll be using my backups before buying anything new. I don't want it to go bad. (I may have a make-up buying problem😂)

LOL I get it though...I keep thinking wow a couple of dollars maybe we wouldn't notice the jump in price but almost $10...those lab people and testers must have really gouged Lancome? I mean I'm sure it was all the lab and testing on the new foundation that increased the price or I hope anyway LOL

👍👍 up from me as well. I agreed with you every step of the way. At the 4 hr mark I was 100% for the new formula. But in the end they both looked pretty much the same. Still going to try the new one. I want to see what my skin will think about it. You keep things moving and interesting. I’m never distracted away from what you are saying. Ugh!! I sound like a broken record. lol. Hi Mary I AM MAD ABOUT IT because they discontinued my shade and do not have an equivalent in the new formulation. They made much better shades for darker skin and olive skin (which is great), but my pasty pinky white Scottish skin is no longer catered to. I'm happy for the others, but surely making it more INCLUSIVE does not mean stopping carrying a shade for pale folk? I was fortunate my local Lancome Rep gave me the heads up months ago and I managed to get a back up (plus she gave me the samples she had in my shade as it's discontinued). As with the concealer and the care and glow it is too dark for me now and I wore it for years. I have enough to do me for over a year, but the search will have to start for a replacement for me. The reason it worked on my super dry skin was because it wasn't really matte, so I don't need something more matte anyway. All in all it was a disappointment for me. Don't get me wrong I understand brands reformulate products, but it's the shade thing that's the problem. My Lancome Rep said she doesn't understand why they got rid of the pale shades they had, as they were popular here in Scotland. Worldwide the sales figures may be different of course, but here in Scotland and in Ireland there are plenty of pale skinned folk who wear makeup lol. My previous shade was 008/090 for reference and beige opale was the colour. i'm glad you're not disappointed with it. Best wishes.

I read this last night as I was going to bed and I've been looking for it since I woke up...whew LOL I REALLY thought they had brought BACK the lighter shade and you would be getting it back but NO? :( I thought I saw a picture that showed 009 on it but YOU would know this best :( I'm thinking that you must be 2 or 3 shades lighter than me then is that right? Have you ever used Essence foundation? I'm trying to think of something here I can get my hands on that is super light on me. I think you told me one once but I can't remember what it was. I agree with you...to make a more "inclusive" foundation and drop out shades of more FAIR complexions is NOT inclusive at all and I'm disappointed
@@GlitzyFritzy I'm probably three shades lighter. My perfect skintone matches are 00 in Dior Forever, 03P in Sephora best skin ever and 0.5 in Revolution. The Lancome wasn't perfect, but it was good enough to wear in the warmer months and just a smidge of white added for the colder months (not enough to alter the formula). Essence doesn't do a shade suitable for me that I know of. I'm 008 Beige opale (pink undertone) and not 009 or 005 (the warm and neutral undertones in the previous versions). If I wear a yellow toned foundation I look jaundiced. I was talking to my local Lancome Rep today and she is struggling with the new shades to match many of her regular customers. None are as light as me lol, but it's proving tricky and the guide from Lancome seems to be off re matching the previous shades. She had found more samples and gave them to me (which is a bonus), as they would have gone in the bin otherwise.
The three matches above are perfect shades, but the formulation doesn't work for me - the Dior forever is SO DRYING, the Revolution doesn't sit well and the Sephora isn't great on me (although I can make it work with a lot of prep). i see Givenchy has a fairly new foundation with a ton of shades (including some really pale shades), so I'll check that out next time I'm in the city. x

Oh I could talk about Lancome all day Amanda...been with that brand for over 40 years but sometimes I think people get tired of hearing it so I TRY to keep it to NEW things but you just ask away and I'll do my best to help you. Lancome is the one brand I feel like I know enough about them to actually be of assistance. I've had more than one manager at the counter ask me to join the team ;)

Mary that foundation looks very pretty on you, but I think your gorgeous no matter what foundation you use. For me, nope it’s too expensive plus I have the glow one that is almost new, I thought they would have left the price the same since everyone is suffering with the rising cost of groceries and just trying to make ends meet. @@GlitzyFritzy when they have a sale I need to try it, I finished the old formulation and decided to try the glow one since I have dry skin and I really like that way better for my dry skin but the older version gave me more coverage on my age spots. I’ve heard ladies saying they are having problems getting a good shade match. You know I had heard horror stories on the Estée Lauder double wear and had never bought it and when Ulta had it on sale for half off I got it, I’m surprised how pretty it looks on my dry skin.💖

I wasn't a fan of the tiente idole formula; it ALWAYS looked cakey on my dry patches. I live and die by the estee lauder doublewear, but im def going to try the new formula. The new side looked better

Mary! I finally tried the 'old' Lancome foundation to replace my Peach Perfect foundation. It was already $65.54 CAD here! Now you are telling me they reformulated it, and it's more expensive, as well?? Dang, I will now have to pay $77.57 CAD?? I am not impressed! I thought they looked very similar on both sides, honestly. I'm not going to lie; I am wondering if there is yet another foundation that I could use that isn't as expensive! Thank you for comparing both! Need to wait on this one. Have way too many foundations in my stash. Trying to find just the right amount of coverage that does not look dry or heavy on my skin. It gets really hot and humid here in the summer months.

Hallo Mary, so happy you reviewed this comparison. I still have some in my current bottle but very pleased when I replace it it will be same quality. I have recently rediscovered my love for lancome eye liners. i found my new water line liner! Only have in black but want other colors this is by persona so far holding up longer than my UD waterline liner. Great review thank you ☺️

Lancôme has such great products. It’s not talked about as much by influencers, especially the younger ones. Same with Estée Lauder. I have really liked the Tiente Idole but wanted MORE from it like LONGER WEAR(I have to wear a mask at work since I work at a hospital)and better coverage WITHOUT feeling HEAVY. The right side looks smoother and pores are less noticeable.
I think it has a slight edge over the old formula so maybe you will find it fits your bill :D
I agree that both sides looked great and held up well, but to me it seemed the new formula did just a wee bit better at pore-blurring. Plus, more SPF, yay! 🙂

I'm not exactly cheap but I can buy Gemstones & Swarovski Crystals for the price of that foundation& I can enjoy them, or my customers can enjoy them long after the foundation is gone. Priorities are just diff. Plus in the Summer I use my sunscreen as foundation.

I sure haven't and I really should tell you guys WHY I've not tried it or the new triple serum sometime but I do tell Andi...tell me what you love about it AND have you noticed any lightening of dark spots with it? I'm interested in knowing if it actually works. I felt like Dreamtones sure did nothing and I poured a lot of money into that one only for them to discontinued it not long after they brought it out (I felt) so because of that when Lancome brought these out I just side eyed them and thought "I'm waiting to SEE what you do with it Lancome" LOL
@@GlitzyFritzy I haven’t noticed any fading yet, but I’ve only been using it for about a week. What I do love is the increased radiance and brightness of my skin, with no glitter! It’s also supposed to be great for reducing the appearance of pores. Hoping I’ll see that with continued use.
Foundations are getting pretty pricey. I have no life right now so drug store is where at but hopefully someday I can go back to higher end. Chanel is still my fave but I’m living on a beer budget lol 💕❤️😍

I'm thinking that all the testing and lab costs HAD to play into this price hike...that's what I'm telling myself anyway but man do I get it. They honestly could have raised it by $2 and I would have thought to myself..."oh I thought it was $48...oh well" LOL but $10...noooo that made me go WOW that's almost as expensive as the most expensive one I have (I think) which is the Armani...and guess what? I’m going to go to Belks (no Nordstrom in middle GA 😢) and see if I can get some samples to try of it. Money is tight. If I fail at shade match’s or don’t like a formula in a few drug store foundations I’ve wasted time and money. So I’m going to the Lancôme counter and probably save money in the long run. This 64 yr old face can really use it too 😂.
