Mary! I loved this! Walking down memory lane, I remember the first time I went to the Lancôme counter planning to buy makeup, only to be told that French women spent their money on skincare- which for the 80’s was unheard of! So off I went to a Lancôme Day Spa and learned that makeup is not to cover up, but to enhance. Such a shocker to my teenage acne prone skin🤣. I’ve been a skincare freak since, and I still use Génifique daily. I use many high end brands now, but keep Génifique for the morning, with Retin-A in the evening. I always keep at least two of the foundation sticks in backup, as a fallback although I have many many other brands. I love La Base and the eyeshadows as well as their mascaras. Such a quality brand, I’m so happy to see it getting some well deserved love. When someone comments that I don’t look my age. I credit my mums genes and lifelong use of Lancôme ❤️❤️❤️

I sold Lancome back in the 80’s at the King of Prussia mall In PA. Stopped using it for a long time but I was trying to replace a discontinued Prescriptives foundation stick and eventually got the Lancome one and love it. So I’ve been buying more Lancome since that and got the Christmas special with the gold case. Really enjoying all the products. Thanks for another fun video.
Good showcase of some really good Lancôme products. I’ve had Lancôme lipsticks and various foundations over the years (decades, actually), but the product I’ve repurchased the most and love is the Definicils mascara. Thanks for sharing, Mary.

The first Lancôme product I got was from my brother. I was 15, and a female friend of his gave it to him, but he gave it to me because he had no use for it. I started buying their skincare after that, and then by the age of 18, I was buying foundations, blushes, powders, eyeliners etc. I wore some Lancôme makeup on my wedding day. I also used Lancôme on my mother and sister-in-law. I later worked for Lancôme. I wish they’d go back to their old cleanser formulas. They were much nicer than the ones they’re making now. Lancôme definitely does some products right, but I couldn’t say I enjoy everything. That’s with any brand. I enjoyed this video a lot. Happy New Year!🤗❤️🥰

You know it…actually I was talking to her …her pictures anyway. I talked ALOT more about Tara but had to cut it because I kept crying! Tara knows many of the things I do since she was so close with so we could lean on each other when she passed and that we did…she has a special place in my heart and I trust her opinions. She will tell you if she doesn’t like it even if it flies on n the face of opposition 😉

They don’t get enough coverage. Loved that Star Bronzer. Wish I bought backups. Though their 01 Lumiere shade is my favorite.

My Mom only wore Lancome so I started out on Lancome then added MAC and then found UA-cam. From there, I added so many types of makeup to my gigantic collection that is embarrassing! I loved the lip glosses, which I forget what they were called, but I know my color was raisin. Juicy Tubes!!!!! They quit making Raisin!!!!!

Mary, I had a successful mission to the downtown SF Sephora. They actually had a nice selection of shades in the Haus Labs foundation!! As usual, the floor person wanted to do my "color match," but I refused because it was so easy to see which shade I wanted to try: 120 Light Warm. I tested one of the fair shades, because sometimes they work for me, but the fair shade looked like I just wiped flour onto my hand. When I put on 120 Light Warm, it disappeared into my skin, so that's a good sign that it will work on my face, too. The big New Year's party coming up isn't until January 13th (it's a fundraiser ball), so I have time to try another shade if 120 is too dark. However, generally I do better with light-shade foundations because the fair ones tend to make my freckles look weird (I don't try to cover them). Will report back!❤

Hey Mary, fantastic video! Lancôme was the first eyeshadow palette I ever bought, many moons ago. Could the Effacerues concealer be used between the eyes? That’s where I have the most darkness. Yes I know it’s under eye, lol, just hoping. The only product I currently have is the Teint Adole mascara. I’ll try to catch their next sale. Thanks so much for this. Hi Mary, When I started really wearing foundation in my early twenties I used exclusively Estée Lauder foundation and eyeshadow. You get me all excited about using Lancome cosmetics. I just have 3 Lancôme palettes (Taupe Craze, Rose Fusion and Terre de Sienne), 1 Blush (that I just realised I don't know where did I put it), Lip pencils, lipsticks in all the formulas 🙈, Definicils and Monsieur Big, the Brow Shaping pencil and the Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation and Concealer (remember I said about which counters our local Boots have??? Yep Lancôme it's one of them 😅 What I like the most??? 🤔 Probably the lipsticks and the mascaras and the eyeliners ☺️ I almost never use a full face of makeup but Eyeliner, Mascara and lipstick it's a must before rushing out of the door 🙈🤣🤣🤣 (As a side note, tomorrow gonna see if they have that palette here 😍) Love You!!! 😍😘 PS : Oh I almost never use powders... Especially in the winter, my skin its dry so I don't use nothing that makes me look more dry 😬

Well if this wasn’t my dream video 😂 it was yummy haha and gave me all my you saying Lancôme asmr 😂 the stick foundation is one of the only foundations I have ever gone through! I love it! I don’t care for the brush on the end of it either. On my wish get list is the amethyst eye palette this year. I love the Laura Mercier translucent powder over their stick foundation too.
This Mulberry color on you is absolutely Gorgeous! I only this year got my 1st Lancôme palette… in the big Gift Set box…that UPS broke by sandwiching between my neighbors heavy as heck boxes! I managed to press the shade back into it and so far, OK. I told myself I didn’t really buy the set for the palette (I was investing in the skincare). I still don’t wear any foundation, so I also don’t wear primers. I know (what?!?). Oh My, they discontinued Absolu powder. I have both the coils booster and the lash idole.. I need to try them together, I haven’t yet used them together. I am happy to see you like the semi matte liquid lipstick. I hate tube lipsticks! Hate em! My favorite product so far from them (I can’t really say I know a lot abt Lancôme as their prices are a bit out of my price range) but so far, I am liking the Génifique and the Cils Booster.

Oh your makeup looks amazing. Maybe Lancôme is just reformulating their powder. You had such a good idea about mixing the serum with the foundation, it never occurred to me. I never met a Lancome product I didn't like but I wasn't crazy about the Lash Idole mascara. I prefer the Definicils over the Cils Booster. As a young adult, the only blush I used was the Blush Subtil in Rose Ivoire. They make amazing products but now my budget calls for drugstore makeup, unfortunately. 😕 I wish you and yours health, happiness and prosperity in 2023! ❤

I came to you out of curiosity after I watched Tara Lynn and she recommended you. Left as a subscriber and looking forward to future videos. My favorite product is the Teint Idole Mascara. I also used the powder eye shadow pencil for many years but as I lost most of my eyebrows with age- it’s simply not enough anymore. I may give the eyeshadows a try though. The formula sounds like something I would enjoy. Happy New Year🎉. PS. May I ask which Génifique product you used to mix with the foundation or do use use it before a base?

I hope you do try the eyeshadows because I think they are fabulous. I love Lancôme❣️ I just bought the Teint Idole on sale at ULTA for 30% off! If I want to make it more glowy ~ I can just mix it with the Hollywood flawless filter- or the L’ORÉAL version of it. I adore the Monsier Big and the other mascara you have. Ive been wanting to try the Idole mascara but seen too many bad reviews to risk wasting the $30…. 😬 They’re mascaras are just so good, though…❤
Hi Mary I like Lancome makeup, but my sensitive, rosacea and eczema prone skin doesn't get on with the skincare at all. Of all their foundations the teint idole is the only one with a shade that works for me (008/091), but both the newer concealer and the care and glow don't carry this shade and I think they may be phasing it out. I like the eyeshadows and the lip products, but their mascara has always been excellent. I think I've used this brand for at least 30 years lol and my mum bought me bits and pieces from lancome, EL and Elizabeth Arden in my teens. I've been using makeup for just under 40 years - what a scary thought indeed. I am in the netherlands and we do not have any kind of powder bronzer in Lancome selection. Scandalous. Lancome please bring back powder bronzer to european market.
I never got to try high end makeup as a kid. My mom would only buy what she wanted to get me such as foundation and compact powder from the drugstore to cover up my acne and oily T zone, and a very natural colored lipstick and blush in HS. Wasn't supposed to wear eye makeup she always said it made me look "cheap", that was her favorite word to use for dark lipstick or any eye makeup or any earrings that dropped below the earlobe. And her mother didn't wear makeup and my dad's mother wore very little, just foundation and lipstick. Nobody really treated me, would have loved to get taken to a makeup counter at the mall by a grandma or aunt. My mom to this day will just put lipstick on and that's her idea of makeup, which looks silly to have pink lipstick and nothing else, and bright red cheeks from rosacea. But they are set in their ways. It really wasn't fair to put all her old fashioned and ancient mindset on me, my mom had big round eyes she didn't have small hooded eyes so she didn't understand I needed definition. So what had to happen? I tried to steal a mascara at the drug store since I had no means to make money to buy it and of course got caught, arrested, etc at 16. Put on 3 months of probation, a $200 fine, and grounded and punished endlessly by my parents. I had endless chores to work off the $200 fine and was grounded from all school dances, friends, the phone, etc. All for trying to get a $5 mascara since my mom wouldnt get me one. Fun times! Had to learn the hard way.
I love Lancôme & I don’t know why I don’t go back to it. I when I was younger went to the Lancôme counter & was talking to the girl that was working behind the counter. I was talking about how much I knew & she went & got her manager & she offered me a job. I was excited but it wasn’t worth the money because I lived to far away. Out of Estée Lauder, Elizabeth Arden etc I had bought a lot of products & always loved Lancôme more.

The problem is that some of their foundations, as well as other products, are exclusive to certain retailers. I have been trying to be good and not buy anything. I’m going through the things I have (it’s a lot). My new addiction is finishing products in my collection. Although I’m not purchasing anything, I’ve been enjoying watching others’ purchases and opinions.

I also used Lancôme on my mother and sister-in-law. I later worked for Lancôme. I wish they’d go back to their old cleanser formulas. They were much nicer than the ones they’re making now. Lancôme definitely does some products right, but I couldn’t say I enjoy everything. That’s with any brand. I enjoyed this video a lot. Happy New Year!🤗❤️🥰

Tara is a sweetie and her videos are very thoughtful. I've watched her reviews before, usually based on a specific product she was trying, and like her approach a lot. You know it…actually I was talking to her …her pictures anyway. I talked ALOT more about Tara but had to cut it because I kept crying! Tara knows many of the things I do since she was so close with so we could lean on each other when she passed and that we did…she has a special place in my heart and I trust her opinions. She will tell you if she doesn’t like it even if it flies on n the face of opposition 😉

I just came over from Tara’s channel. So glad to find you; someone my own age that can recommend or use products for my age. I love Lancome. More skincare than makeup. But one of my top brands. They don’t get enough coverage. Loved that Star Bronzer. Wish I bought backups. Though their 01 Lumiere shade is my favorite.

My Mom only wore Lancome so I started out on Lancome then added MAC and then found UA-cam. From there, I added so many types of makeup to my gigantic collection that is embarrassing! I loved the lip glosses, which I forget what they were called, but I know my color was raisin. Juicy Tubes!!!!! They quit making Raisin!!!!!

Mary, I had a successful mission to the downtown SF Sephora. They actually had a nice selection of shades in the Haus Labs foundation!! As usual, the floor person wanted to do my "color match," but I refused because it was so easy to see which shade I wanted to try: 120 Light Warm. I tested one of the fair shades, because sometimes they work for me, but the fair shade looked like I just wiped flour onto my hand. When I put on 120 Light Warm, it disappeared into my skin, so that's a good sign that it will work on my face, too. The big New Year's party coming up isn't until January 13th (it's a fundraiser ball), so I have time to try another shade if 120 is too dark. However, generally I do better with light-shade foundations because the fair ones tend to make my freckles look weird (I don't try to cover them). Will report back!❤

Hey Mary, fantastic video! Lancôme was the first eyeshadow palette I ever bought, many moons ago. Could the Effacerues concealer be used between the eyes? That’s where I have the most darkness. Yes I know it’s under eye, lol, just hoping. The only product I currently have is the Teint Adole mascara. I’ll try to catch their next sale. Thanks so much for this. You look fabulous! 💖

When I started really wearing foundation in my early twenties I used exclusively Estée Lauder foundation and eyeshadow. You get me all excited about using Lancome cosmetics. I just have 3 Lancôme palettes (Taupe Craze, Rose Fusion and Terre de Sienne), 1 Blush (that I just realised I don't know where did I put it), Lip pencils, lipsticks in all the formulas 🙈, Definicils and Monsieur Big, the Brow Shaping pencil and the Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation and Concealer (remember I said about which counters our local Boots have??? Yep Lancôme it's one of them 😅 What I like the most??? 🤔 Probably the lipsticks and the mascaras and the eyeliners ☺️ I almost never use a full face of makeup but Eyeliner, Mascara and lipstick it's a must before rushing out of the door 🙈🤣🤣🤣 (As a side note, tomorrow gonna see if they have that palette here 😍) Love You!!! 😍😘
PS : Oh I almost never use powders... Especially in the winter, my skin its dry so I don't use nothing that makes me look more dry 😬

Well if this wasn’t my dream video 😂 it was yummy haha and gave me all my you saying Lancôme asmr 😂 the stick foundation is one of the only foundations I have ever gone through! I love it! I don’t care for the brush on the end of it either. On my wish get list is the amethyst eye palette this year. I love the Laura Mercier translucent powder over their stick foundation too.

I only this year got my 1st Lancôme palette… in the big Gift Set box…that UPS broke by sandwiching between my neighbors heavy as heck boxes! I managed to press the shade back into it and so far, OK. I told myself I didn’t really buy the set for the palette (I was investing in the skincare). I still don’t wear any foundation, so I also don’t wear primers. I know (what?!?). Oh My, they discontinued Absolu powder. I have both the coils booster and the lash idole.. I need to try them together, I haven’t yet used them together. I am happy to see you like the semi matte liquid lipstick. I hate tube lipsticks! Hate em! My favorite product so far from them (I can’t really say I know a lot abt Lancôme as their prices are a bit out of my price range) but so far, I am liking the Génifique and the Cils Booster.

Oh your makeup looks amazing. Maybe Lancôme is just reformulating their powder. You had such a good idea about mixing the serum with the foundation, it never occurred to me. I never met a Lancome product I didn't like but I wasn't crazy about the Lash Idole mascara. I prefer the Definicils over the Cils Booster. As a young adult, the only blush I used was the Blush Subtil in Rose Ivoire. They make amazing products but now my budget calls for drugstore makeup, unfortunately. 😕 I wish you and yours health, happiness and prosperity in 2023! ❤

I came to you out of curiosity after I watched Tara Lynn and she recommended you. Left as a subscriber and looking forward to future videos. My favorite product is the Teint Idole Mascara. I also used the powder eye shadow pencil for many years but as I lost most of my eyebrows with age- it’s simply not enough anymore. I may give the eyeshadows a try though. The formula sounds like something I would enjoy. Happy New Year🎉. PS. May I ask which Génifique product you used to mix with the foundation or do use use it before a base?
Welcome Kathleen I can’t wait to get to know you better. It’s the same Génifique that I use as my skin care… I just add it to my foundation if I’m going to wear it. I hope you do try the eyeshadows because I think they are fabulous. The one Tara used is their newest one and I don’t have that one yet but it looks spectacular on her and I have been biting my fingers ever since because I want it so bad 😂

I love Lancôme❣️ I just bought the Teint Idole on sale at ULTA for 30% off! If I want to make it more glowy ~ I can just mix it with the Hollywood flawless filter- or the L’ORÉAL version of it. I adore the Monsier Big and the other mascara you have. Ive been wanting to try the Idole mascara but seen too many bad reviews to risk wasting the $30…. 😬 They’re mascaras are just so good, though…❤

Hi Mary I like Lancome makeup, but my sensitive, rosacea and eczema prone skin doesn't get on with the skincare at all. Of all their foundations the teint idole is the only one with a shade that works for me (008/091), but both the newer concealer and the care and glow don't carry this shade and I think they may be phasing it out. I like the eyeshadows and the lip products, but their mascara has always been excellent. I think I've used this brand for at least 30 years lol and my mum bought me bits and pieces from lancome, EL and Elizabeth Arden in my teens. I've been using makeup for just under 40 years - what a scary thought indeed. Best wishes.

I never got to try high end makeup as a kid. My mom would only buy what she wanted to get me such as foundation and compact powder from the drugstore to cover up my acne and oily T zone, and a very natural colored lipstick and blush in HS. Wasn't supposed to wear eye makeup she always said it made me look "cheap", that was her favorite word to use for dark lipstick or any eye makeup or any earrings that dropped below the earlobe. And her mother didn't wear makeup and my dad's mother wore very little, just foundation and lipstick. Nobody really treated me, would have loved to get taken to a makeup counter at the mall by a grandma or aunt. My mom to this day will just put lipstick on and that's her idea of makeup, which looks silly to have pink lipstick and nothing else, and bright red cheeks from rosacea. But they are set in their ways. It really wasn't fair to put all her old fashioned and ancient mindset on me, my mom had big round eyes she didn't have small hooded eyes so she didn't understand I needed definition. So what had to happen? I tried to steal a mascara at the drug store since I had no means to make money to buy it and of course got caught, arrested, etc at 16. Put on 3 months of probation, a $200 fine, and grounded and punished endlessly by my parents. I had endless chores to work off the $200 fine and was grounded from all school dances, friends, the phone, etc. All for trying to get a $5 mascara since my mom wouldnt get me one. Fun times! Had to learn the hard way.

I love Lancôme & I don’t know why I don’t go back to it. I when I was younger went to the Lancôme counter & was talking to the girl that was working behind the counter. I was talking about how much I knew & she went & got her manager & she offered me a job. I was excited but it wasn’t worth the money because I lived to far away. Out of Estée Lauder, Elizabeth Arden etc I had bought a lot of products & always loved Lancôme more.

I loved their Nude Miracle foundation, but they’ve discontinued it and replaced it with Teint Miracle Radiant foundation. I haven’t tried it yet.
I did 12 hour tests on all of theirs a while back but I can’t remember if that one was in it or if they had it yet?
@@GlitzyFritzy I know. I remember that video. That was hard work. I don’t know when Teint Miracle Radiant launched, but I never purchased it. The problem is that some of their foundations, as well as other products, are exclusive to certain retailers. I have been trying to be good and not buy anything. I’m going through the things I have (it’s a lot). My new addiction is finishing products in my collection. Although I’m not purchasing anything, I’ve been enjoying watching others’ purchases and opinions.
