For starters thank you for the reception of this video and the engagement. I appreciate everyone and all your comments are welcome. But... So we can get some things straight, I uploaded the video with very good intentions, this is the hardware I use and this is what I could test. If I had an RTX 4070 I would put this card in the mix too. I am no pro in color correction and it shows, but I am certainly going to use this video as a start in trying to become descent. You do understand and has been stated the colors are off in both videos. As a proof of that, you can check videos professionally edited on the Digital Foundry Channel where all colors are the same across every platform (Xbox, PS, PC). Since the video has been even quoted as a proof of Playstation's superiority over the RTX cards, which is at least laughable and totally not true for the upper range of the cards, I have to clarify that the colors are off and you should not be taking this video as a reference for any discussion over how each platform handles colors and HDR. Also, there is a thing called optimization which is totally on the developer and not on the hardware. Claiming a card with 24gb of vram does not have enough to load a bunch of red bushes during the intro proves you don't know what you are talking about. Now I know this is a controversial topic for many, but not everything has to be divisive and used without context, in a totally wrong and manipulative way just because it suits our "narrative". Misleading your audience is never a good thing. Having said that, you may think it is the thing that will get you more engagement, but it's not right, you are only exposing yourself. Quoting my video to bash on Digital Foundry which is a really very informative, knowledgeable and professional site about gaming software and hardware is not a good look really. Like I said, you just have to go there and see if there are so huge differences in colors. If I wanted to make the PS5 Pro I just paid for look bad, I would not choose a game that was so optimized on the PS5 Pro and is really so "easy" on the hardware. I could just pick Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3 RT or Hogwarts Legacy on which the Pro is really bad. Please be rational and try to see things objectively, my intentions were not to diminish any hardware and if my video is one reason some can use to claim false things, I will happily take it down.
Why are you answering literally every comment that compliments the console with negativity? You made a video to talk bad of ps5 pro, turns out everyone that watches, likes the ps5pro image, and now you gonna answer every little comment about how good the ps5pro is? You need to work that on your brain buddy. Good luck with your channel
@@Tomairipa Did you not read my post? I literally say I made a video to showcase two hardware pieces that I happen to own. I did not do it so every fanboy can come on the channel or use it to claim the PS5 Pro is better than the 4090. I like them both, why do you think I bought i? I am answering almost every comment, I want to keep it real and not mislead anyone. If it bothers you, sorry mate but it is the truth. I am not going to be spreading the wrong information here.
the only advantage PS5 had over PC was the Alloy character detail but it seems fixed here, your PC video shows higher resolution than what PSSR can resolve, even with DLSS it will look better. that said I played the game on PS5 performance mode and this game is the best graphics the PS5 can show I didn't feel the need for more detail, maybe when it goes on sale I'll pick it up on PC but honestly PS5 Pro can only show good graphics on sony's own games, the rest are meh. I rather invest on an open platform that is getting these games too, I don't mind waiting for a year or two, I played forbidden west on day one and it was a bug fest, can't run faster than the quest NPC or it will break the quest and so many weird things.
Wow, just the fact that the PS5 Pro is being compared to a 4090 is already a huge leap for consoles.Personally I like the way the ambient light looks in warmer tones on the 5 Pro.And to think that there are still people who say that there are no differences between the standard PS5 and the Pro version, of course there are and they are quite significant. Thanks for sharing
That is a mistake on my part, it looks better on the RTX 4090 on the original videos but they both look great on the OLED. This game is a prime example of how games should be on the consoles from now on. I mean if you cannot give us good raytracing performance give us that.
Not really thats just them showing its to a high end pc. IF I compare an electric bike to a car doesnt mean they are close I could just show you how it looks like compared to a car. The ps5 pro can't even run this at real 4k lmfao how are they gonna compare fake 4k to real 4k? Its just s side by side and its on youtube so unless you pause it to look at details in the 4090 that are taken out of the ps5 pro you can't see the quality difference.
Also the differences are actually very minor. They even stated it mostly improve performance. minor ray tracing that the ps5 had just shows up little bit better and shadows that isn't significant that's turning on one minor setting that if turned on impacts your fps anyway.
claro con un juego que no utiliza el ray tracing y es de sony, cualquier juego que utiliza el ray baja a 30 fps, no llega ni aun 4060, este video es un engaño
It's because the video was recorded via the capture card with more saturated colors. It is definitely missing details and around 40 fps which you cannot watch in UA-cam videos since the videos are capped at 60 fps.
No, it's the saturation, the brightness and the contrast. I check the original recording and it's much better looking than this, in fact it's brighter than the one from the PS5 Pro. Maybe it has something to do with the way Davinci processed the two videos. The first video came from a capture card the other straight from the game on PC. Besides you are missing the point here. Pause at any moment, see the difference in detail and resolution. Everything is more blurry on the PS5 Pro. I may consider to reupload the video once I find out what is wrong with it.
@@pietroscarpa2384 There is more detail and a better resolution along with the around 100 fps you get on native 4k. If you pause and check you can see it. About the colors, maybe it's something I did, maybe it's something about davinci resolve that does not work with both videos the same way, the original videos I recorded look different and way better.
@@DsLmaNiaC I definitely see a lot more detail on the 4090 than the ps5 pro. It just looks much more crisp and sharp. I'm sure the difference is an even wider gap seeing it in person than on a video in UA-cam. I have both the 4090 and PS5 pro myself, but I don't have the same games on each system to compare. Thanks for showing the comparison. I've been trying to see the difference between my PS5 and PS5 pro, but there isn't a way for me to play them side by side. In most games I barely see a difference. Framerate is the biggest difference I see so far. Hopefully the list of games will get bigger for optimized games or maybe the biggest impact will be in future games.
@binhnham2512 frames are the most crucial though. Playing at 60 fps should be the minimum today. That is why I disagree with the developers still offering a 30 fps mode.
I loved the first one and Alloy's theme always hits me. I haven't completed the second one because I thought it looked awful on the OG PS5 and I just cannot stand 30 fps mode.
For the price and the little difference between the 2 machines, I much prefer the PS5 pro. The gap between these 2 worlds is getting thinner and thinner now, the video speaks for itself.
Yes the gap is getting thinner. To buy a PC. Your ps5 pro costs 920 with disc. It cant do 4k its 1440p. A gaming 4k pc with 7900xt will cost you less than 1100. You decide😅
The difference is not minimal. In this game the PS5 Pro is doing pretty well and is still far behind. Please do not mislead people. It is a very good 700 dollars piece of tech and that is it.
What is the point in this comparison? $700 console vs a $3-4K PC. To be fair, it really doesn’t much look better on the 4090. I’m sure it is, but the difference is small enough to negate the need for this comparison
The point of the comparison is not to bash one or the other system. It is to show the differences. I wish I had a 4070 to set up a more even and fair comparison.
@@dandy20ana What I actually meant is I wish I had a 4070 also so I can post a better comparison to similarly price products, my second PC only runs a 3060. But thank you for the proposition and for commenting.:)
It’s crazy just how close these are… especially considering that a $700 console is competing with a PC setup where the GPU alone costs more than twice as much as the console.
1:33 Colors on the pro look much more realistic imo. Now ask yourself this, do these minimal differences between the pro and a 4090 justify the $3000+ price tag of a 4090 build?
Again, there are not minimal differences and it is one game that is not even heavy enough to push the hardware. 60 fps on performance mode vs 100 fps in native 4k is not minimal. Sony has done a great job in Horizon and the God of War games but they are optimized for the Playstation and feature no raytracing implementation. The colors are an issue of the video encoding procedure.
@XCaPTainClipzX given the outcome you can get in games and the fact they you can play anything with all the sliders to the right yes. No hardware should cost that much but this is the reality. I would just simply say that I would go for a 4070 super or 4070 super ti PC, that difference would make more sense. The point is the video is not to bash either system though.
No it's not. This is not the way it looks on the screen. This can happen in videos. I can upload a video with PS5 footage and make it look blueish or greenish if I increase their values. But you are right on the HDR from Microsoft.
@DsLmaNiaC I'm a pc gamer myself for many years. HDR implementation is horrible on PC, for example Dragon Age The Veilguard. I prefer HDR implementation on PS. Gran Turismo 7 has one of the best implementations of HDR
You are too quick and eager to jump into conclusions. The clips have been altered for the same amount of brightness, contrast and saturation yet they produced different outcome so maybe this is my fault. Both versions look great like I stated, the game is very easy to run, the game is well optimized for the PS5. If you want I can post a Cyberpunk full path tracing video and then we can talk about shaders and performance for the 2000 system vs the PS5 Pro, so you can see the real differences.
@@DsLmaNiaC from your experience, did the game look better on pc or console? Sometimes some graphical effects get lost in translation when a game gets ported to pc unfortunately...
@@Gustaviustwinkelberry Definitely the PC is the way to go. This is my opinion and please know I love both systems. The PS5 Pro is the best way to experience console games, especially if your whole library is on the PS store or you just want to turn on the console and play and is certainly at least 200 euros or dollars cheaper than any PC you can build with similar specs. There are some issues I cannot overlook though. First the cpu is really old compared to even a Ryzen 5600, that means it will hold games from running at 60 fps with full effects even if the graphics card can support them. Secondly, the gpu is not that competent for today's AAA games, especially in the raytracing or pathtracing sector, which is the way to go in several games today and will only increase as time passes by. An RTX 4070 even with the 5600 on blows the PS5 Pro out of the water but it will cost a bit more. Finally, the cost of the games and the subscription. While you can get a lot of games on physical or digital forms, even on very low prices or on sale, you are still depending on just Sony and its pricing and on top of that you have to pay the subscription too. On the PC, you get unlimited amount of games for free or for a very low price.
4090 rig running native 4k is obviously going to look better than a PS5 Pro running performance mode. But the difference was less than expected. Lets not forget. A 4090 rig cost x3 of the PS5 Pro. I would love to see a comparison in a game where the PS5 utilizes PSSR to the fullest. Should be interesting.
@@redferne4576 Absolutelly. Hogwarts 2 aswell. I hope the PS5 Pro is not fully being utilized quite yet, and that PSSR is going to do wonders on coming games.
@JavierArochoVega raster performance with fsr3 or xess which is better and frame generation will be certainly better even in games with raytracing but it seems that the Pro had a better performance in ray tracing because it may have some features from from RDNA4 which 7800xt is missing or just does not have yet. I mostly had AMD cards in the past up until the 5700xt but since the 3000 series launch i always go for Nvidia. They are just better and more fully featured.
So I assume if the console is running performance mode the detail, resolution etc will all be lower. So if it was on quality mode and it still wouldn’t be quite the same as the pc will be a lot less fps.
What I notice is the PSSR resolving during movement, compared to the 4090 (is DLSS on?). 4090 is noticeably sharper during movement, with higher res over all. However, the PS5 pro definitely punches far, far above its weight class here
This game does not use PSSR, but instead uses a custom upscaler built by Gorilla Games, specifically for PS hardware. Watch the Digital Foundry video where they discuss the amazing image quality of Forbidden West.
@aichan5235 you got a point, I would still go for a PC on the same amount of money, but it is a game that is not pretty heavy and is very optimized for the Playstation and it looks great. If you try something with full raytracing or path tracing you will realize why you spend the extra amount of money.
@DsLmaNiaC if a rtx 4090 build didnt cost too dammm much, sure. People have money to pull on a $700 unit, people dont have thousands to spend on a high end pc. I never cared for ray tracing. I only always cared about fps.
@aichan5235 I agree but all I am saying is using Horizon Forbidden West to disregard a PC build is not realistic. Using Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake II, the Witcher 3, Hogwarts Legacy and basically the games with heavy raytracing is the way to do it. And besides this is not about rtx 4090 vs PS5 pro. I just happen to own them and thought I should make some videos about it just to see how much difference there is. You can make a 4070 build and will still look better than the Pro.
For those who say that a 4090 is not worth it: this game is basically a port of a PS4 game. It doesn't squeeze the PS5 and not even a 4090. It's an intergenerational game. Where the ps5 pro falters is in games with ray tracing. Alan Wake 2 on PS5 Pro with ray tracing goes at a measly 30 fps, while with a 4090 it is easy to exceed 80 fps. Silent Hil 2 Remake doesn't even support ray tracing on ps5 pro. For a graphics lover, who wants the best of the best, a 4090 will always be your winning horse, hands down. You can't compare a Fiat with a Mercedes. Let's be serious.
For those who think PS5 Pro looks better…I ask, why does the Pro image look so pinkish? Look carefully. It’s not natural. Also, anytime the settings for either system are not shown at the start of the video, something might be off. It would be appreciated. No hate, just sayin. Respect for taking time to make this though. I could be wrong.
The footage is taken from the console running on performance pro mode and the PC running on 4k native DLAA. For some reason the colors are off although I applied the same settings to both, I may reupload but I think anyone that does not just want to take a side can see what this is about.
@@DsLmaNiaC Got you. I know exactly what you mean. Good vid. I too have a 4090 and made vids comparing it to Series X. This is why I tuned in and dropped a like. The quality of the vid is clean but I was wondering if the color accuracy was perfect or not. I will be checking for more of these vids for sure. Some people are out here trying to trick us with Biased intent. I appreciate you keeping it REAL. Much respect! Oh and I like the colors of the 4090 image as the sunset/sunrise lighting seems natural to me. This is why these videos are fun.
The advantage of PC is that you can use Full RGB whereas on PS5 the HDR mode is YUV422. Also DLAA on PC looks pretty good, even though I wish it didn't have to rely on TAA that makes images look blurry! Both versions are great though!
So I'm new to pc gaming and in the process of building the best possible gaming pc .Even with Black Friday deals. It's gonna cost between 3-4k depending on the price of the rtx5090 on release. I have a pspro already. I wondering is there any point in spending all that money for what. A little better lighting and sharpness.
If you have the money it s worth it definitely. You won't return to the PS5 except for the exclusives. The difference is huge. Make sure to combine it with a good oled monitor or TV.
The fidelity is clearer on the 4090, which is to be expected, but for the price the Pro is doing just fine. Plus why does everyone look like they have jaundice in on the PC version?
This is a video comparison of the Horizon Forbidden West between the most expensive console at the moment and the most expensive graphics card. The game is no Cyberpunk like heavy and it performs greatly on both systems, although it is more detailed and way more fluid as expected on the PC. The issue I have is it does not seem to be totally optimized since as you can see in the into some flowers pop up out of nowhere while this is not an issue on the OG PS5 or on the PS5 Pro. Like or share if you do like the video, consider subscribing for more gaming content and walkthroughs! Thank you for watching!
Impressive performance from the PS5 Pro, but in the gameplay not the cinematic scenes, it is quite easy to see the sharpness, the detail, and the framerate compared to the 4090, but still it is not 5 times better experience from the 4090 PC as it will be the price
Based on many of these comments, you might want to go back and re-edit your video for proper color correction on the PC. I assume the PS5 pro or 4090 have nothing to do with quality of colors as it just reads a digital representation of the color and sends it to the monitor or TV. The quality of the color would have more to do with the monitor/or TV as it takes the digital date and translates it to what we see. As far as the PS5 pro and 4090 are concerned I'm sure the hexcode for the color red is #FF0000 on both. I guess the software itself could also make the difference if the developers changed something in how the colors are coded on each system. That's also a possibility. I could be wrong, but all I know is that the colors look great on both my PC and PS5 pro when I play on my OLED monitor.
The recordings are fine, in fact the 4090 one has better colored than the PS5 pro one. They are both looking great on the oled. It has something to do with DaVinci Resolve, it reads the two videos in a different way. Maybe the capture card recorded it in a different color space but the obs records in 10 bit always except from the times I am streaming. I will try to fix it if I can but it is what it is.
The 4090 is priced at around $2000. The spec I want is over $5000. I can build one for $3000, but I can't drive a Porsche with Chinese tires. The console is really reasonable.
I platinum’d HFB on PS5 at 60fps playing it again now on PC with a 4080 Super at ~135fps.. looks close in quality but prefer that higher framerate without compromising image quality
Shows how good the PS5 pro is.....😂 And a testimonial to the programmer pushing the ps5 hardware. The game is from a SONY studio, so I would not expect anything less.
Comparing the Pro to the 4090 alone speaks volumes. Then you look at the footage and the difference is thin. For a $700 console going head to head with a 3K - 4K machine? I’d always take the $700 console
Actually it's the DLAA. If you check the black man during the intro, the light that is on his back on the PS5 version does not exist in this one with the DLAA. I checked on the PC by activating TAA instead of DLAA and boom it's there. So TAA may be the game to play this on PC.
@@DsLmaNiaC the very thing is that console players came here to justify their pro version buy. Nonetheless differences between PS5 pro and PS5 are diminutive/non existing with additional case of not matching raw power of flagship graphics card, but only different in $$$.
Would be dope with an offscreen comparison since the Pro loses an entire step in capture…the TV and specs required are mandatory not an option. So to capture before that step isn’t telling the true story. Good vid tho not a $2000 justifiable difference…
Not in this game details wise, but you will definitely notice 4k native gameplay at 100 fps vs performance at 60 or fidelity at 30. Besides the point is not to compare the RTX 4090, but what a PC with a good graphics card can do since you cannot see the frames but can see the difference in the resolution.
I have done this comparison with my 4090 and ps5pro. At the exact same time on two lg cx side by side. One a 77in and a 55in. The difference is literally night and day. The fps and detail in the image of the 4090 is light years ahead, i tell you no lie. It is not even close. The fidelity mode on the pro which runs 30 fps, does not touch the graphical fidelity of the 4090, and the 4090 is doing it at 120 frames. The performance mode on the ps5 looks like trash to get to 60 frames, so there is not even a fight there. The pop-in is another issue of its own on the ps5pro, which is not present on the 4090. These two should not be mentioned in the same sentence. The console is good for what it is. But it is far, and i mean far, surpassed by the 4090. I keep telling people that Fidelity is useless at 30 frames. The moment you move on screen is smears and becomes ugly. Superior graphics must be combined with good fps, or else you get a bad experience......
@DsLmaNiaC I would say 4060 at best, the quality of the image is good but it's still well behind. Like I was saying it doesn't matter how good the image is, if you get sick trying to play it or it's a blurry mess. That's the only problem with consoles, the power is not there for good frames. Which is 70% of the gaming experience.
Same quality but I like the hdr is brighter on pc but some stuff look overblown I liked the fire it was bright and realistic the ps5 pro looks like a game during the cutscenes vs pc looks sharp pssr is barely noticeable sometimes
People saying the PRO isn't worth the money are just wrong. It is worth it, unless you can't afford it. But many good things are not affordable. For 700 bucks it outperforms everything in that pricerange.
In fairness, it comes a lot closer than people wanna give a credit for and in a lot of ways it’s preferable in color when you look at the cost of this graphics card being about $2000. You still need to keep in mind you have to have the chip set to run it. You need a good CPU solution and you certainly need fast memory in an optimized system to get the most out of that graphics card so you’re gonna have an expensive system when you consider that fact alone it’s point of diminishing returns on the PC side really
@Richdadful just to demonstrate how close or how far it is from each other. The PS5 Pro in Europe costs 950 euro if you buy the stand and the disk drive so it is far from the 700 dollars in the US which I believe is the price before tax. In fact, this comparison shows how well the PS5 Pro can do when compared to the PC on this title.
I think most people is missing the point of the video: -4090 is obviously better -still ps5 pro is doing a remarkable job Side aspect: hdr on windows need to be seriously improved
The main difference is the one you can't see on cinematics because the game run way more smoothly on RTX 4090. If you check more GAMEPLAY video, you'll see that the fun run with over 120FPS on 4k while on PS5 pro you'll have max 60FPS x) But sure it's not worth it to buy a RTX 4090 that cost 2000$. The thing is that RTX 4090 is like a Porsche Taycan but you can have the Tesla of the graphics cars : RX 7900XTX that cost half less for almost same performance on this game :) Oops, yeah that's the truth ..... But well, everyone want the best right ? :D That doesn't mean you should buy it
All I see in this video is that you are a rich mada faka 🤣 the PS5 Pro and a monster PC with a 4090 thas like what 5k in total? and not to mention the monitors and TV. Anyway, great video, bro. This shows that whether you own a PS5 or PC, you can enjoy this masterpiece. ✌
Please post a real video of the PS5 Pro's performance while others denigrate the console by making fake videos putting the PS5 slim vs the standard to make us believe that it is the Pro, I have the PS5 Pro and it's a monster the color on the horizon preferably to the PS5 Pro but if we look closely the RTX 4090 gives better details, water plants and more natural colors to the vegetation the RTX is really impressive
Here goes the delusions of grandeur for PS5 Pro owners that think a $700 console is the equivalent of a 4070/4080/4090 😔. If you’re happy with your Pro purchase, cool. However, don’t ever think that console is anywhere close to the level of high-end PC that runs games at NATIVE 4k, Full Ray Tracing, Ultra/maxed settings, all at well above 60fps. STOP IT!!!
I agree with the delusion part but not all games can be run with full raytracing at 4k native. You need to activate DLSS or Frame gen to achieve higher framerates in the heavier games.
@ You misunderstand what I meant. On console, the native resolution in performance mode is not 4k; the final output is 4k, but the internal res is usually somewhere between 1200-1600p. Only the fidelity mode on console is a full native 4k, but limited to 30fps. PC with a 4060 or higher runs games at a native 4k even before DLSS, it’s just the FPS won’t be high without DLSS and/or Frame gen.
@@MistaVauros On the PC it's almost never the native resolution too anymore. You cannot run really heavy games with Raytracing or Pathtracing on at 60 fps on the RTX 4090. And the 4060 can only play certain older games in 4k with lower settings. Let's keep it real here, what distinguishes the specific hardware is their performance at upper settings tiers. You had to get a 4070 super in order to beat the PS5 Pro in performance from the newer cards. I don't know if the 4060 ti 16gbs can do it, maybe it can, but I would think the 4070 would certainly be better.
Since the 4090 probably runs comfortably above 60 frames, it would be very unfair to compare it to 30 frames.. One thing i would love, is to see a game running PSSR though, compared to the 4090.
Both are overprocessed. It is my mistake. For some reason when I added them both they changed colors and I did not pay attention to color correct. Adding some brightness made them worse. It's on me.
@@soumyadipbera3269 I just kept the video on because it was doing well in numbers and you can also see the difference in fidelity but at the same time watch how well the PS5 Pro does.
Mmm una tarjeta que cuesta mas que el ps5 pro, obviamente deberia moverlo mucho mejor de lo que lo hace y eso sin contar los demas componentes necesarios para que esa tarjeta mas costosa pueda funcionar
PC definitely looks better. Just look at the stars in the sky. There are a lot of stars on PC. I don’t play PC games. I have a very old CPU and old video card. However, if it is not side by side, both look good. I will take Pro since it is less hassle for gaming.
Well, for example here in Greece, the Pro costs 799 euros, no stand or drive, the PS5 slim cost 374 euro during Black Friday and a store had an extra 15% discount on certain credit or debit cards, placing it basically at 317 euros. You cannot beat that, there is not a 500 euros difference. In my opinion the Pro should be sold at 699 euros maximum.
@@DsLmaNiaC I agree with you, the price is quite high, but the same could be said if you compare a 4080s to a 4090, at double the price you don't even get double the performance in most games. Or if you take smartphones as an example, which in Italy cost €1500/2000 and come out every year with new models, where less and less changes except for the price. Often there is no price for what you like.
The 4080 super has a nice price margin compared to the 4090 and their performance gap is smaller than the original 4080 performance gap was. In my opinion today, you are not even thinking about an RTX 4090, except if you find it at a huge price discount, which is hard since it's out of production. Go straight for the 4080 super. But, since we are talking about consoles 320 euros compared to 799 is a huge difference, especially for the masses, the consoles are primarily targeting a different audience. And I still see it keeping the same price : www.germanos.gr/product/gaming/consoles/ps5-consoles/playstation-5-slim-digital-ed-fortnite-cobalt-star/?productId=20436715 Having said that, I agree that the PS5 and the PS5 Pro have a huge difference, a difference that can turn a game from unplayable (HFB Graphics mode on PS5) to playable (HFB in Pro's performance mode).
@DsLmaNiaC In my opinion, for the console players, the best way to pair the Pro is with an OLED TV. I'm running my 4090 with an OLED 4k 240hz monitor, and I'll never go back to anything that isn't an OLED 🤦♂️😅😅
@DEATH_FROM_ABOVE.50 I have been running mine with the LG 42c2 too and the OG PS5 on another 65 inch for some years now and I cannot go back too. I agree they are perfect.
Idk why ur trying to even vs the most powerful gpu in the world and a 4070 laptop gpu console. Turn on fps abd u will see why the 4090 is king bec it can run 4k games well over 100fps
@maxminy5634 of Course. Noone expects to perform the same. The comparison is to just show the differences although youtube compression does not help that much. Regardless the PS5 Pro on Horizon Forbidden West or Zero Dawn can easily produce an outcome that is extremely good for a console.

Guys, I prefer how it looks like on PS5 pro
It's because the video was recorded via the capture card with more saturated colors. It is definitely missing details and around 40 fps which you cannot watch in UA-cam videos since the videos are capped at 60 fps.
Lightning is better and it's not just colirs

So I assume if the console is running performance mode the detail, resolution etc will all be lower. So if it was on quality mode and it still wouldn’t be quite the same as the pc will be a lot less fps.

@ExistentialismNeymarJunior fair enough. If I only had one option I wouldn't.
A maxed out optimized PC is going to win everytime, BUT…unless you’re really pixel peeping the margin is getting very narrow.
Why on the console we look a red color predomination?

Exactly my point. But we need to make everything a vs and somehow call the Ps5 pro a giant killer when it cannot really be better than a 4070.

In fairness, it comes a lot closer than people wanna give a credit for and in a lot of ways it’s preferable in color when you look at the cost of this graphics card being about $2000. You still need to keep in mind you have to have the chip set to run it. You need a good CPU solution and you certainly need fast memory in an optimized system to get the most out of that graphics card so you’re gonna have an expensive system when you consider that fact alone it’s point of diminishing returns on the PC side really
what the point of comparing a 700$ machine to a PC which has GPU of 2000$ and whole PC might be 6-7 times expensive than PS5 pro.
Because ps5 pro looks better then this 2000 machine lol.lightning looks better on ps5😊
@@wingedhussar1453 It actually does not.
@@wingedhussar1453no it doesn’t lmao pc just looks way better and in person it probably looks even way better
4090 has more detail and sharper texture. But the price is....
I think most people is missing the point of the video:
-4090 is obviously better
-still ps5 pro is doing a remarkable job
Side aspect: hdr on windows need to be seriously improved
Exactly. Thank you for the comment.
The main difference is the one you can't see on cinematics because the game run way more smoothly on RTX 4090. If you check more GAMEPLAY video, you'll see that the fun run with over 120FPS on 4k while on PS5 pro you'll have max 60FPS x)
But sure it's not worth it to buy a RTX 4090 that cost 2000$. The thing is that RTX 4090 is like a Porsche Taycan but you can have the Tesla of the graphics cars : RX 7900XTX that cost half less for almost same performance on this game :)
Oops, yeah that's the truth ..... But well, everyone want the best right ? :D
That doesn't mean you should buy it
with vrr its more than 80fps
All I see in this video is that you are a rich mada faka 🤣 the PS5 Pro and a monster PC with a 4090 thas like what 5k in total? and not to mention the monitors and TV. Anyway, great video, bro. This shows that whether you own a PS5 or PC, you can enjoy this masterpiece. ✌
Thank you for the comment. Don't jump into conclusions though. But yeah the systems cost a lot.
Why are PC owners comparing a $3,000 pc to a $700 PS5 Pro in the first place? 🤣🤡
@maybachyard to show the differences with no intention to diminish either of them.
Definitely prefer the ps5 pro’s color grading
That's on me though. My bad.
799€ = Complete System
vs.
2000€ or more = 1 Hardware 👍
Pro fidelity mode what pc ultra settings this is performance mode on ps5 pro not fair.
The fidelity mode would run at 30 fps and would look bad in terms of the framerate.
Since the 4090 probably runs comfortably above 60 frames, it would be very unfair to compare it to 30 frames.. One thing i would love, is to see a game running PSSR though, compared to the 4090.
I prefer to pay 700 than 4000 just to play games. Thats a scam
Anything can be considered a scam. Even the 700.
ua-cam.com/video/5J7EHRVX9Z8/v-deo.html ....
both would really look identical tbh until you start seeing the framerate graph running....
No they would not.
Wait the video isn’t even doing 4k and only 60fps so it’s hard to really compare lol
@@themysterykid1 it is 4k.
Ps5 pro’s colors much more realistic and sharpness is spot on not seems like over processed on the right.
Both are overprocessed. It is my mistake. For some reason when I added them both they changed colors and I did not pay attention to color correct. Adding some brightness made them worse. It's on me.
@@DsLmaNiaC it’s fine, and thank you for your information. Yeah at least you mentioned what’s the issue…that’s nice❤
@@soumyadipbera3269 I just kept the video on because it was doing well in numbers and you can also see the difference in fidelity but at the same time watch how well the PS5 Pro does.
RTX was the best Graphics card ever by reviews that’s great for PlayStation
Great job yes.
PS5 looks amazing, the difference between it and PC APEX 4090 RTX system is not substantial. I wouldnt pay 3Xtimes more for this
You get 4x times the difference in frameratss and graphics quality though.
HDR must not be turned on the RTX.
It's on.
PC definitely looks better. Just look at the stars in the sky. There are a lot of stars on PC.
I don’t play PC games. I have a very old CPU and old video card.
However, if it is not side by side, both look good. I will take Pro since it is less hassle for gaming.
Fair enough!
and then there are those who complain about the difference between ps5 and ps5 pro because it costs $300 more.🤷
It was way more than 300$ more in Black Friday though.
@DsLmaNiaC but it would never have gone on sale on Black Friday, item too new.
And I still see it keeping the same price : www.germanos.gr/product/gaming/consoles/ps5-consoles/playstation-5-slim-digital-ed-fortnite-cobalt-star/?productId=20436715
Having said that, I agree that the PS5 and the PS5 Pro have a huge difference, a difference that can turn a game from unplayable (HFB Graphics mode on PS5) to playable (HFB in Pro's performance mode).
Nice video! The 4090 is a killer😂 but for 700 dollars, the console it's alright 👍
I totally agree.
You cannot run all of them at native 4k and 100 fps without activating DLSS or frame gen, but it can run this one easily.
Its not a 4070 laptop gpu. More 3070 ti.
4090 clearly better, but certainly not quadruple the price better.
You can see a 4x times difference or more in many cases though.
Pero lo que habria que ver aquí es que tanto porciento de potencia está utilizando la ps5 pro y la 4090, dudo que la 4090 vaya al 100
so ps5pro is just using mexico filter, other than that they look quite identical
ps5 == ps5 pro
and
ps5 pro == rtx4090
then, it means
ps5 == rtx4090
ps5 pro really good
The more i look at PRO and PC comparisons the more i realize i got scammed by sony for my OG PS5.
On my 4090 rig the graphics are visibly better than on my PS5Pro.
@sirgareth5283 yes they are, I can confirm that.
But the PS5 Pro version is looking great too.
@@DsLmaNiaCI mean it better be. The 4090 alone is 2x the price of the ps5pro entire system.
@maxminy5634 of Course. Noone expects to perform the same. The comparison is to just show the differences although youtube compression does not help that much.
Regardless the PS5 Pro on Horizon Forbidden West or Zero Dawn can easily produce an outcome that is extremely good for a console.
@@DsLmaNiaC of course. A very good port for a „small“ console.
I mean, it better be... it's more than double the price of the PS5 Pro
I like driving cars not trucks, although they might be powerfull 😂😂
That works too.
4090 is having difficulty synchronizing the fake frames with the monitor's Hz, unlike the real 60fps of the PS5 which works without problems
There are no fake frames, this is running on native 4K. It is ok not to know about something, but at least read the description.
Looks as good or better on the pro👍👍
No it lacks clarity and about 40 fps.
only thing i dnt like about the 4090 is the power consumption and price
pc sharpness alot better
