The Saem "scam" has been on for a long time actually, most of the time are those Chinese staff trying to earn commission showing u photos and even pack aside saying gonna mail EMS but if you take a closer look the adress is ribbish😂. My tip is to enter the shops and ask for the things you want in ENGLISH show they the picture and pretend you don't understand Chinese OR just told them "oh I bought a set that day already" if they intro you the stuff. Most of the time will settle them off 😉 and really speaking in English can prevent all the bulk purchase they will push you.
I met the same situation when i was there last year. my aim was also to just get a concealer and they started the same old story. told us we could get refund for the tax brought us all the way to another branch of the shop etc and then told us actually we had to use our credit card in order to get the refund. we were afraid therefore we decided not to get the refund and went off. i felt like i was being scammed to get the snail product thingy. it was so expensive and tbh it is of no use at all! i still have it with me after a year.

Hey that issue with the store , please I know it's hard but be polite but abrupt 💛 I have social anxiety turning people down is so hard for me but , if it comes to it just walk away from them and say sorry no . If they follow you say you are invading my personal space and you are making this an uncomfortable situation . If they proceed say that you will contact the store / company manager etc . If that doesn't work just ignore them and leave 💛 you don't owe anyone anything babygirl it's your money your choice x
I had the same exact experience as you when I went to Korea last year. They tried to really make me buy their stuffs, showing a really bad attitude when I said no and keep saying things like that certain product is really good bla bla bla and things like that. Things got really intense when suddenly the staff began to say rude stuffs to me like I cant afford their product and that I should go back to my country. I just walk out from that store because I dont wanna cause any more drama. 😂😂😂
omg it was the common experience of mine and my friend at it is skin shop in myengdong but else where like hongik or ehwa are really good especially missha in hongik haha
chaichol k. Yes it's skin at myeongdong is so annoying. The service was so bad. I remember I had to wait for the person to punch in my products so I can pay but she made me wait because she was calling someone like really? I'm waiting for her to finish the call and doesn't even bother with the tax refund. I was so pissed then 🙄

IMO The Saem have the most aggressive and persistent sales associates I have ever encountered in Korea :)) During my first visit to SK I went in the Myeongdong branch and was persuaded to buy the same exact product :)) The sales lady actually showed me a picture of her son on her phone and she said her age was around 30+ already but her skin looks young because of that product. She then instructed me to look in the mirror and then ... SHE PLACED HER FACE NEXT TO MINE AND TOLD ME THAT HER SKIN LOOKED MORE FRESH! HAHA. To add insult to injury she added that if my skin was as good at hers that my boyfriend would totally love it. I got a gd shirt after the purchase LOL

maybe we had the same sales lady! I took a photo with her, maybe I should put a warning sign next to her, kidding of course haha~ I also remember last time I was in Seoul there was a The Saem store I passed by every day from my guest house. I kept avoiding them but they still followed me across the street. INTENSE!
OMG! That Saem staff is really unprofessional! She is NOT fit to even serve! What a stressful experience buying beauty products and end up being the subject of ridicule from shitty sales personnel who act without class. They may look good on the outside but suck big time on the inside. Beauty is really skin deep! Anyways, what's so great about all these products that's loaded with chemicals and more chemicals and you pay good $ on them? Go for organic & natural products. Your skin will love you more.
I have the same problem with sales ladies and I've since learnt to be pretty aggressive at times. I actually found that Holika Holika is 10000x worse than The Saem (during my experiences).
Åland is actually an island in Sweden (pronounced oa-land), which I find kinda funny. That together with the Korean brand Lagom, which is a super common word meaning the perfect amount, or just enough. Would be interesting to know if both of them are coincidences!
As amazing as shopping in Myeongdong is, the sales people are a real turn off. Sorry you had such a bad experience. I got pressured into buying something small just so I would get the tax free benefit? They're just making more money off of us. I remember seeing two ladies physically trying to pull a Chinese tourist into one of the road shops. Very off putting.

Omg I had the same experience too at the myeong dong store too!! Ended up getting 6 tubes in total :( I think I stood there with my sis for more than an hour man. They're just too pushy!!

for anyone going to shop in myeongdong's main drag of road shops, you need to be firm in saying no. or look like you have a list of things to purchase so you don't go in any shop completely blind so to speak. i had a list (i watched ssinnim's road shop one brand tuts and wrote down some of her recs) and i was comfortable saying no to them trying to push products, especially the expensive ones that were like 100USD, on me (which may come from experience in traveling to other places as well especially since my mom is from asia). but my friend wasn't really used to pushy sales people there and had a much harder time to say no. i also have anxiety and myeongdong is kind of scary and stressful when you first get to that street/area because of the amount of people, the aggressive sales people, and the sales people will follow you around the store which made me a little uncomfortable but if you have a mission to accomplish of products that you want to get, it'll get easier. i liked the experience since i also got a glimpse of gd haha but i think i would've preferred shopping for cosmetics in other areas of seoul
i just went few weeks ago.and i had the same experience.probably it was my mistake that i spoke korean to most salesperson.so she went on and on to push me to buy the gold mask set which costs hundreds too in sgd.even the cashier which was a guy(prob the manager) tried to push me to buy
Hi, similar happened to me at the Saem,Meyongdong as well. The lady was trying to sell me the same product. I was there during Jan 2018. The lady tried the product in me and convinced me.to get it. Because it was my first day in Korea so I got confused with the conversion. Long story short I walked out not getting anything and she was pretty pissed. She also consulted her manager as well.
OMG same thing happened to me in the saem store in Myeongdong, the sales lady was so pushy and wouldnot let me and my mother go. That one is such a rip off. Didnot do ANYTHING!!!! ANYTHING!!!!!
You know, I'm not even surprised you experienced that in The Saem. I experienced a really similar situation in there too but less expensive than the one they were trying to sell you and got the same cleansing foam for free after I bought the thing they were sellin😂
The saem product! They did that to me too back in 2015, I notice they only do that in Myeongdong I think it's a marketing strategy but in the other branches they don't do that. Btw the eye cream doesn't even work zzz

I had a bad experience at It's skin on myeongdong and I was so shocked by their staff's attitude. It was early in the morning but she's already grumpy and rude. I was so annoyed 😒. But thankfully when I entered Banila co. The staff is really nice and cheerful so my mood were lift up and she is kind enough to do my tax refund immediately. 😊

You should have just stand your ground and refuse. You are not in the wrong whatsoever for only buying what you want, especially when a sale person acts more like a scammer than anything else.

Haven't been to Korea but I'm appalled how the shop personnel from The Saem do business there!! Are they from China? It's like a money grabbing business and it's apparent they are only interested in your $$! Don't fall victim to such sales people who have no class to speak of! Learn to say NO to such people. They like yo target young people like you. To think you actually bought something from them as they don't even deserve a single cent from you!

LOL actually I'm not even sure if it's the actual font she uses but I really liked the font in her vids and so I found this font which I think looks similar too! I wouldn't call it copying though.... I mean I'm sure the font is used by many others too! 😆 As for her graphics, I don't actually use any in my videos except that brush stroke in the intro which is from a random photoshop brush pack online too 😇😇 Hope that clear things up!
Christy Huang if u search for 3D fonts online there are a ton of fonts that looks like that. i don't think it's considered "copy" lmao
