I red books 5 years before first game was released and I loved them. Even that old poland short series. Witcher is one of the best fantasy books ever writen. Game of thrones are stupid bullshit in compare with Wiedźmin!
0:00 Chills, emotions and memories. Unbelieveable that a video game can get this deep under your skin. Witcher 3 has a spirit of old gaming that I have last encountered in an RPG in Gothic 2 and I hadn't expected to see it in any modern game. Back when developers loved their job and wanted to create a fantastic fantasy world not just a ... game.
Devin ULUÇ Ik this is an old ass comment, but I definitely think the first witcher game captures that same vibe like in gothic, but the second game doesn’t do it nearly as well due to the real change in atmosphere caused by the story being so grandiose
@@stanners1714 This is the exact reason why i like the early game in RPG's most. You're not a badass hero who's saving the world over and over. You're just a slightly less than ordinary guy. I want RPG's that stay this way... Altough i like the Witcher III for sticking a Witcher's role to Geralt until the very end. He's more or less on the same level of badassery throughout the whole game.
It is so good looking back to those times, when I wasn't playing the game I would put this on to keep feeling myself in it. I still return time to time. Rarely any other game got me this immersed as this.
This game gave me two months of game play, ofc i was taking my time to explore every thing in detail stopping from place to place, admiring even the view, it was one of greatest experiences i had the luck to have in my life... a true masterpiece that worth it's money down to the very last cent.
Best fantasy RPG city ever. So much detail, I can just idle for ages in this city and listen to the different music in the different neighbourhoods, and enjoy all the detail and the vistas.
This game does SUCH a better job of creating atmosphere and immersion than Skyrim. The music, the scenery, the NPCs, the creatures...the world of Witcher 3 feels so real.
bethesda can write if they try. some stories of obliion and morrowind are among the best in rpg world. skyrim and fallout 4 though.... yeah... not exactly promising after that pile of garbage.
With this music, I imagine exploring a massive, sprawling landscape of rock. The sunset shown on the rocks, painting them somber shades of red, purple and burnt orange. Slumbering in the shadows of the massive cliffs, lye the crumbling ruins of a lost civilization. The ruins do not beae foreboding, but instead inspire. They invite the explorer to rediscover their dusty secrets, meet the memories of its long dead people. To teach. To remember, so they are not forgotten.
Searched for this everywhere, found it! Exactly what I was lookin' for, I used to stay south of Novigrad for a few minutes just to listen to this masterpiece, now I can listen to this while at work! Thanks! P.S. One of the best OSTs in the game.
What made it special for me was that I only noticed the song after the Wolven Storm scene and I thought the music had changed to reflect this, as if to say that Wolven Storm was sort of like the key leitmotif of Novigrad.
Thank you so much for uploading this. The first track is exactly what I was looking for the whole time, as it was not included in the OST, as already mentioned here. This song totally entranced me. Plus, Kudos for your avatar picture - greatest movie scene ever.
To be honest, I decided to go to college in the city where I am now because it reminded me of Novigrad. And now, sitting on a balcony, lisening to this track. What a bliss.
First Doctor Who used those sound effects at 0:38, now Assassin's Creed Valhalla has! Not sure if it's merely a stock sound effect, but either way I always end up back here :)
This reminds me of 3 things: Yearnign for happy heavenly place when i was child bored and bullied in school. Like we all were. About mankinds slow CRAWL trough history slow, crawling, long, seemingly endless... but still always moving foward no matter how slow, how pitifully, how sadly, how violently... always. Foward. And last, it reminds me of Carl Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot."
This game... the story, the gameplay, the music what a masterpiece... i have only felt like this for a video game for assassins creed 2 and now this goes right there with it... I really hope they make more games because i think they said this was the last of the trilogy... Though this does not necessarily mean that it will be the last game it might be the last Geralt game... I dont see why they would stop this game after this success they had...
I just turned my pc off cause it's 6 a.m. and immediately searched for the ost on my phone. It was my first time in novingrand... It really felt like it's a real place. I hope I dream of it this night...
Great selection! But this video focuses on the more "melancholic" themes of Novigrad. We should also have another one with the "uplifting" tracks, like those playing in the markets, squares and inns!
I want to cry, I swear of it cuz this is just NOSTALGIC, come on CD red please make more Witcher games involving Geralt and his companions just make something to continue the story and there are dozens of good writers that can emphasize on the original books a make more story pleasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssse
I still remember that day when I noticed Novigrad for the first time... Hidden in the fog, behind the curtain of the rain. Damn, this music reminds me "Gladiator" a bit
leo liem You are correct Leo, this is not from the original soundtrack. The whole purpose of me uploading these videos is so people can enjoy them because of this. I'll be uploading some more videos soon.
I cannot wait to experience this on the PS5 with 8k resolution and 120FPS this game is going to look INCREDIBLE and I’m prolly gonna beat it another 2 times allll the way through lmaooo

Shortcuts for you. Enjoy :D
+Marco Ak the second is the best
+Ravish Ogre Yeah, it's my fav one.
Wow, thanks man.
13:40 is the best part for me
sweet sweet
Greatest rpg ever made..
jas7925 If not the greatest video game ever made. I really can't think of any game that has beaten this as my all time favorite.
Game*
there is wow in its prime time not cataclysm but the vanilla world that was one of the best rpgs
For me pipped by Skyrim but man it is close.

This game is the most beautifful and emotional game ever!
Yep epic atmosphere
Baurin Official that is true
Reminds of the venice music from AC2
same what I was thinking!!
carbunch Yeah when I heard the woman "wooing" in the background... Instant AC feeling
carbunch Exactly what I was thinking!
carbunch Damn, I though the same thing!! This ost remeber me of Firenze and Venezia
carbunch true :/
the first one is my favorite one from the game
Me too and it was such a small part of the map to get this soundtrack. it was right outside of novigrad
Rob Nickerson ikr! Sometimes I stop just to listen to that song... It's so magical and mysterious!
Yesssssss lol : )
+Sheepy Cami I would just go there, pause the game and listen to the music as I lay down on my bed ^^
Me too! The vocals are so strange/cool sounding.

a true masterpiece that worth it's money down to the very last cent.
Coming back to this every few weeks. I can't describe how much this game means to me ❤❤
The first track would be perfect for Novigrad during the night.
Second too
I wonder why the first part is not in the official soundtrack, it is so amazing. The first 10 minutes are just wonderful.
this melody touches the heart, we always want more... Like a kind of melancholy but we have no memories
Best fantasy RPG city ever. So much detail, I can just idle for ages in this city and listen to the different music in the different neighbourhoods, and enjoy all the detail and the vistas.
8 years later and Novigrad is still the best city ever made
Been looking for the music that plays from around the 13-23 minute mark everywhere on UA-cam. Thanks for posting this!
do you know what is the name of it
14:30 How can something be so beautiful to my ears.
This game does SUCH a better job of creating atmosphere and immersion than Skyrim. The music, the scenery, the NPCs, the creatures...the world of Witcher 3 feels so real.
It's an honour for us gamers to be comparing these great games with each other!
+Houston Garratt I'd say the side quests are ten times better in this game, just my opinion tho.
***** the writing for one thing, Bethesda can't really write

The third theme at 23:00 is so dope I love it more than life itself

The best game i have ever played. After this game none of the upcoming games can actually win my attention easy.
Thank you very much. Definitely the best music form the game imo, especially at 23:05

P.S. One of the best OSTs in the game.
Why do I have such a strong emotional reaction 0:00
23:05 : The bestsong of the whole game... AND NOT IN THE OFFICIAL SOUDTRACK CD !!!!! ANGRY !!!!
I agree, so melancholic and so beautiful.
What made it special for me was that I only noticed the song after the Wolven Storm scene and I thought the music had changed to reflect this, as if to say that Wolven Storm was sort of like the key leitmotif of Novigrad.
It’s inspired by the main theme of Nino Rota’s Casanova, or in any case by the same splendid intuition
This is the best track in the game, I`ve been searching for hours just to find this. Thanks for the upload !
This kinda reminds me of the music from the movie Gladiator. I love the perfect mix of realism and fantasy.
I don't know how many times I've listened to this. Thanks for posting these!
Absolutely outstanding. What a beautiful song. Thank you Brandon James for the upload.
Man this is the best part of this soundtrack!! Thanks for posting. I don't even know why they didn't include this piece in the OST...
Maciej Remiszewski a szkoda (nie wiedziałem, że nie dali). Gałgany buńczuczne :) Trzeba im to wykrzyczeć - takie ładne utwory, a ich nie zamieścili.

14:28 best shit ever
This is so relaxing, the soundtrack of this game is incredible
the beggining reminds of asassins creed II theme... also very beautifull music and really similar
I thought so as well. How far Assassins Creed has fallen...
That's what I thought, it sounded like AC2 another great game.
To be honest, I decided to go to college in the city where I am now because it reminded me of Novigrad. And now, sitting on a balcony, lisening to this track. What a bliss.
