Thanks for all these videos on the invertek optidrive. I put together a belt grinder with this vfd and was uncertain about my control setup but your videos were definitely helpful in figurng stuff out. Thanks!
Fuses get the full 10 gage wire as they are inline with the incoming power. The 2hp drive calls for 16.5 amp fuses so I use 15amp fuses. 20AWG will work fine for the switches as they have very low current.
I looked up the controllers. I see like $250 to $600. Are you insane? Is this belt sander $2000? You got to be insane. The first 2 videos i watched you forgot the ground clamp on the cnc. You should delete those. Then i watched you showboat a ck tig welder ( nice welder but leaps and bounds from a primeweld225 ) ck is a great company but its all china parts. They are all china parts. Then i wanted to see the belt sander yo made. Well i did and its a awesome piece of equipment but for what? $2000? $500£? You are insane. You need to get your head checked and get a good day job.
the CK MT200 AC/DC over $2k and primeweld225 is like and 800 dollar machine. My B.A. Shredder can be built for $900.00 Comparable off the shelf fully built units sell for 2 to 3k. I'm very open about my day job. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. I don't edit out my mistakes because I don't pretend to be perfect. What 2x72 belt grinder do you recommend that is better then the B.A. Shredder?
Are you seriously going to come here and dog my video quality? You're saying I should delete my stuff? What about your stuff? You've had it up for 15 years and only 3 people wanted to see more. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Lets be honest those 3 subscribers are probably the other 3 guys in your band.

You're welcome! Glad I could help.
Do you know is an air compressor pressure switch can activate the VFD to call for air below set point and shit off at set pressure?
yes. SMC sells pressure switches. I use them in my automation designs at my day job. www.smcusa.com/products/sensors-switches/
what gauge wire are you using for the connectors for the switches and fuses is that 20 AWG?

and what gauge is the leads to the drive same 20 AWG?
wire going out to the motor is 12 AWG but you could prolly get away with 14 AWG. (make sure it's shielded)
Sweet
