just beautiful that people want to preserve these beautiful language. I hope that 20 years later i will hear people who speak Arapacho language fluently to each other.
I am 27 and I am Arapaho . My family wasn’t very close to our culture. I am reaching out and learning as much as I can. I’m slowly trying to learn our language and it’s been a rocky road trying to find a mentor, videos… I pray our language lives long and we bring growth to our knowledge as Hinono’ei. Aho
I’m half Arapaho , I didn’t know my tribe for so long bc my father (who I got the native genes from) wasn’t in my life for fifteen years. I love knowing who my other ancestors are now and learning about them. Hopefully I can learn the language of my people one day
Please Arapaho tribe. continue teaching your children your native language. Once it goes - it will be gone forever.DO NOT LET THAT HAPPEN. PLEASE. It is so important that the Indian languages and cultures are kept alive. As is said at the Blood Kainai Days - " We are still here "..
My family is of Arapaho descent. My grandmother's great-grandmother was Arapaho. I love this this is a great find! I hope there's a way for my family to learn this beautiful language.
When they opened the schools to our grandparents English was mandatory and all other languages were lost, it was also split along lines of who stayed on the reservations and who pled allegiance to the us

So everyone else can express their culture and do what they want for their heritage but us natives gotta leave it in the past? Mann Ik this was a year ago but that’s a wack thing to say.
