Hello and thank you so much for watching! I’ve really been enjoying these winter videos and I have some fun things planned coming up including more cooking and a q and a! I’ll be asking for your questions soon on a separate post as well as on Instagram so be on the look out 💜
Chana I was wondering if you have ever made zahtar Tahini bread? I seen this video and I wanted to share it with you. It’s gluten free so I’m excited to share this with you lol I’m going to make it soon. I think I’m going to love it! I hope you try it as well and maybe you will do a video on it when or if you do😁 Here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/kQaFAC-TJus/v-deo.html
I've been having fun watching these videos! So much fun visiting with family!! Especially when you don't live close (or, even in the same country!) and don't get to see each other very often. Your scarf story reminds me of a blanket I tried to crochet many years ago. I did actually finish it ... eventually ... but it took four or five years lol. My Grandma taught me how to crochet (simple, basic stitches) and showed me how to make an afghan. I had a twin-size bed at the time. I started it but it was slow going. Then Grandma passed away and every time I tried to work on it I would just break down crying again. So, I put it away until a few years later after I had gotten married. Decided to make it again for our full-size bed. Then, a lot happened and I had to put it down again for awhile. I was cleaning out my closet one day and found it. I really didn't want to make it full-size. I was actually growing a little tired of working on it. But, I realized when I opened it up that it was about the size of a baby blanket and I was about eight months pregnant! So, I finished it off, made four little granny squares, stitched them together for a hat, attached ribbons to tie it and ... voila! ... I finally finished it 😁😁😁!!!
Chana, one thing I love about your videos is knowing that you always speak truth. You're genuine and never try to be something you are not. And that quilt is gorgeous!
Thank you so very much Peg :) I really appreciate your lovely comment :) And thank you for the kind words about the quilt! I made that with my grandmother when I was about my son's age :)
Chana, you are so organized and such an inspiration. You really accomplish an enormous amount of things..with family visiting, yet! And, you seem so cool with it all. It's always such a pleasure when you share your life with us..thank you! 🤗 Many blessings to all of you. Rosemarie 💖
Your trays look much better than any school lunch I have seen lately!! I am such a dinosaur that when I was a child we had very good home made meals. The hot rolls were so good, I have never tasted one as good as the ones the lunchroom ladies made in their kitchen.:) Enjoy your time with family!!
I'm with you Nanaland!! We got a home cooked lunch made by cooks which consisted of a main course big piece of French bread a desert and an 8 oz carton of milk for 30 cents
So happy for you to get family from Israel, I'm sure your husband is totally excited to see his brother. I'm happy for you also you seem to have been truly made part of his family and that has to feel wonderful. God bless Shalom

@@jaroffireflies oh my goodness, it’s so funny. Lucy and Ethel make bread and put in too much yeast. My youngest used to be an early riser (6am) and we’d sit and watch I Love Lucy. Hi Chana! Very fun video. You are such a gracious hostess. You taught us a good lesson. I love how you went ahead and made your pizza and it turned out really good. Obviously certain ingredients would ruin a dish but I admire how you tried it anyway. Kudos to you ❤️
Loved the recipes, I think I will google the pasta dish. I sometimes make pizza for myself using a scone dough. That was nice you had quality time to spend with your family. I love frozen yogurt, but we don't have many places selling it here. I bought an ice-cream maker recently so will have a try with the frozen yogurt. I so love the faces you pull in the blooper section at the end. So so funny. Have a great week.
Hi Karen! Thank you for your kind words :) I linked to the pasta recipe in the description if you want to use the exact recipe I did. But it’s all over the internet too just search TikTok pasta :)
Our family has made that tictoc pasta a few times, it is almost foolproof! We have started to add Greek olives and capers with a touch more oregano. We have used multiple pasta shapes, our favorite is the ones that look like little radiators (raditore). So happy the pizza dough worked out, yikes! Have a wonderful visit with family!!!😀
I love the tick tick pasta! ❤️. I made it several times this past summer when I had an abundance of tomatoes. It worked with regular tomatoes too, I just cut them up instead of the whole cherry tomatoes.

I was the first PTA president at General Stanford Elementary in Virginia. I worked as a lunch lady as a single mom for 10 years. I look up to you. Elated for your slumber party visit.... I had a special visit too! Thinking of you!
Hi Chana. Another great video!! I'm so happy that your husband's family was able to be here. Those have to be very special times being they live so far away. Your pizza looked beautiful!! How did you make the pasta? I don't know if I missed it. My picture was cutting out a little. We are having heavy snow today. Have a wonderful week with your family and I'll see you Thursday 😊
Hi Claudia! I linked the pasta recipe in the description of the video because it’s all over the internet I didn’t think to include it in my video too. So super easy!
Hi Chana. I was amazed you got so upset about the amount of yeast. Instead of flat pizza, you could have made deep dish pizza. Or some times called Sicilian. You could have put vegetables on the pizza.. 😋 😋 😋. I'm elderly, and when my children were young, I used to make every Wednesday experimental dinner night. I made something different I never cooked before. If no one liked it. Then we had pizza as a back up. LOL. My children became less picky eaters. And tasted most at least once. My eldest looked at it as doing chemistry. Finding combinations of foods that taste good together. 👍 P.S. They all sevived. LOL.
Hi Hannah! With the mixing of the tsp in tbsp when it comes to baking ( or just cooking in general), don't feel too bad I think everybody has at least mixed up the tsp in tbsp at least once in their lifetime (if not more) 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I think I did that accidentally myself. I love to knit I've never tried the rib knit though it looks too complicated even though I know it's dead simple you're basically knitting and purling at the same time. Good on you for taking the time out to your husband the scarf hopefully get it done for his birthday.
Thanks Kryssy! The knitting is super simple, it’s just knit knit purl purl and repeat till the end of the row :) It’s super easy to read to so I don’t mess up :)
Channah, Martha Stewart has a one pot pasta that is simply delightful. Easy to make and totally dairy. Lots of tomatoes, you can add steamed veggies at the end, as we do.
We do something similar in our house but use malawach. But I love those trays. I have a 7 year old who's super picky and seems to keep removing items that he will eat from his menu choices. Have you posted a video about different ideas for meals that you make your kids? Do you have similar problems in your house? Would love to see a video about what you things you make! Sometimes all he eats for supper is a hard boiled egg and cucumbers and crackers! 😔
Hi Nechamah! Kids being picky can be super hard! My youngest will turn down a lot of new meals without trying, its hard. I am working this week on filming dinners every night and will be posting that next week! So fun that we had the same idea! So stay tuned! Its coming soon :)
The feta recipe is one of the best I found during COVID stay at home cooking. We tried it on brown rice with chicken too. Delicious anyway you try it ☺️
Ah! I tried out the tomatoes/feta cheese and pasta recipe, too, and I found it underwhelming. It lacked flavor, I thought. But it's so fun to make! And if the kids like it, it's a win.
Hello Chana! Lovely video - thanks for sharing. The pizza dough had me on the edge of my seat for a while there ;) I'm glad it all worked out! Will you be making a vision board video this year? I actually found your channel through your first vision board video It popped into my feed randomly, mid-year 🤣 & I'm very glad it did. :)
Oh that is so fun! Yes! I am planning to film a vision board video :) Hopefully for this Thursday so stay tuned! I made my vision board for this next year last week :)
@@jaroffireflies Yesssss! :) I look forward to all your videos, but I look forward to this one the most (or, more specifically, it's in my top 5, because it's really hard to pick just one favourite 😉). Thank you!
Hi Chana 😊 It is always fun to have family over visiting! That pizza did look yummy considering the yeast overdo lol. I’m glad it turned out for you. One day I’m going to tackle a gluten free and dairy free pizza which doesn’t sound yummy at all lol. Pizza is the one thing I really miss being gf and df now 🙄 Hugs and take care-Debbie
I never had a quesadilla ,but will try what you made for the children That was a pleasant surprise for the family coming from Israel. My Dr. wants me to take up knitting because I am so nervous about this covid & what it has done to our family & losing now 5 good neighbors & 3 of our family members as well .I never knit before do you think I could learn from a you tube tutorial ? I forgot o put sugar in the pumpkin pie one year it was awful we could not eat it ,so every time I make it Gary says "don't forget the sugar " Thank you for sharing your day have a lovely week
Oh wow I’m so sorry for your losses! Knitting is a fun hobby because it keeps your hand and mind busy. There are some good videos out there, but if you’re up for it, I’d recommend leaning in person. I learned at a local shop in a one on one lesson.

Hi Sweetie, hope you had a good time with your rellies from Israel. Hih, when I saw you adding yeast I thought “that looks a LOT”, but all turned out well. 😄 I have been meant to ask what is your embroidery machine? Also have you started your Scottish tartan gown? Thank you for the best blooper “oops”. You are so funny and warm person. This is the impression I am having when watching your vlogs. Lovely. All the best from pea soup foggy (not as fatal it was years ago, but as thick) England.
Hello Annemaritta! My sewing machine is a Janome. It’s been a great machine. I haven’t started sewing my Purim costume yet, but I have time! Thank you so much for your kind words 💜
Hi Chana! Great video as always. Did you make the beautiful quilt you have for picnics? We also have the homeschool problems. My kids were with their homeschool group and some one asked them to line up. It was quite funny, the homeschool kids were respectful, but totally not in a line. More like an amoeba. I told my husband if that is the big thing homeschoolers can’t do then I am okay with that.
Yes! I did make that little quilt we used for the picnic :) It was the first quilt I ever made (with the help of my grandma) back when I was about 7 :)
Hi Chana, Another lovely video today! How wonderful to have family come and stay. I’m so glad the pizza worked out OK and the pasta dish looked amazing.. I must try that! I enjoy playing “Where’s Bella” while watching your videos and loved seeing a glimpse of her in the outtakes today! Oh I also wanted to tell you.. I tried roasted broccoli for our Christmas dinner and used some black pepper and lemon zest with just a small amount of salt. It was so delicious! I hope you have a great week. Lesley

😂😂😂💖😊😊😊
I was the first PTA president at General Stanford Elementary in Virginia. I worked as a lunch lady as a single mom for 10 years. I look up to you. Elated for your slumber party visit.... I had a special visit too! Thinking of you!
Thank you!
I thought I might see pizza dough squeezing out of your refrigerator😂🤣. I love feta cheese, so will definitely be making the pasta dish.
It did get over risen but it was ok :) lol
Love when you upload!
😊😊😊
I love making that pasta with Italian herbs added to it. Delicious
Oh great addition with the herbs! I need to try that!
LOL.
What a fun idea to do an experimental dinner night!
I love spending time with family!! this day looks absolutely perfect
It was!
I started knitting a jumper for my niece's 1st birthday and i finished it and gave it to her daughter last year...my nieces is 32...lol
Oh my gosh Shelly that is just like me lolol
it would have been funny if you finished it in time for her daughter's 1st birthday! LOL
@@jaroffireflies Way to go for not messing up. I have trouble with the purling ( (I can do it I just prefer the knit stitch easier to do).
@@kryssysmith1486 I’m fine knitting or purling but I literally know nothing beyond that lol
Such a beautiful presentation with the kid's lunches!! I wouldn't mind diving into those 😂. What is a vision board?
Thank you Claudia! As for the vision board, my next video (Thursday) is all about that topic so stay tuned!
Channah, Martha Stewart has a one pot pasta that is simply delightful. Easy to make and totally dairy. Lots of tomatoes, you can add steamed veggies at the end, as we do.
I will have to look that up! Thanks Sharon!
Glad the pizza turned out OK. I was wishing I had a slice! 😂 The pasta looked delicious as well!
I’m so glad it turned out too :)
That pasta looks delish! Thinking of trying some tonight :)
I definitely recommend it :)
It’s always great to have family from far away come in to visit. Do they watch your videos?
It is absolutely such a treat! I don't know if they watch :)
The feta recipe is one of the best I found during COVID stay at home cooking. We tried it on brown rice with chicken too. Delicious anyway you try it ☺️
Oh that’s fun! I couldn’t do that because of kosher but it sounds really good!
Ah! I tried out the tomatoes/feta cheese and pasta recipe, too, and I found it underwhelming. It lacked flavor, I thought. But it's so fun to make! And if the kids like it, it's a win.
Oh wow! I loved it! It was definitely built up a bit much on social media but I just love pasta and easy recipes :) This one was unique too
This was so cute 😍
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed!
P.S. Chana, the pizza and pasta both look absolutely yummy! I will have to try the pasta, b/c I love feta cheese, too! Rosemarie 💖
Definitely try the pasta then! It was amazing!
Thank you!
@@couturehelvetica1261 awwww thank you so much!
Hi Chana 😊 It is always fun to have family over visiting! That pizza did look yummy considering the yeast overdo lol. I’m glad it turned out for you. One day I’m going to tackle a gluten free and dairy free pizza which doesn’t sound yummy at all lol. Pizza is the one thing I really miss being gf and df now 🙄
Hugs and take care-Debbie
Pizza has been really hard for sure. I’m not sure how dairy free would be, but good luck!
Dominoes do a dairy free version which my son enjoys...but he isn't gf
If you use Daiya shredded mozzarella you will be fine.
Wonderful video ❤️
Thank you so much!
@@jaroffireflies thank you yes I wold love to but I am afraid of covid I have to protect Mom she is 92 I thought after I posted to you I have a piano use to take lessons I could try & go back to playing & learning thank you for responding

Hi Chana,
Another lovely video today!
Lesley
I’m so glad the roasted broccoli turned out well for you!!! We had it again with dinner last night
You are so beautiful and inspiring ❤️
Thank you!
The scarf is going to be beautiful. Loved the quilt the little ones were sitting on. Did you make it.
Thank you so much! It’s so soft and fun to make :) yes, I made the quilt many many years ago as a child with the help of my grandmother:)
